With a series that has such a huge cult following as Evangelion, I'm surprised that they haven't made a god damned new series with new characters yet.

Instead they only seem to be interested in rehashing the same characters and designs.

And geeze, how many figures of EVA 1 exist out there? It seems like every major toy company at one point has made an EVA 1 in some form or another.

I loved Akira's ending.

The ending is filler.

Don't get me wrong, I love most of the series I listed, its just that their endings suck.

Oh yeah, I forgot Gilgamesh. That ending makes no damn sense either. Excellent show though.

Anyway, Wolf's Rain is a perfect example. It is a show that is so well done, great characters, but the ending is quite bad. I guess it makes more sense than some of the other endings though, as at least it somewhat fits with the show's context.

Filler? THE WHOLE SERIES IS FILLER!

That's what you get for expecting a conclusive ending from a show that still had its source material ongoing.

I will grant you that there's an overabundance of Eva-1 toys (but as the main mecha of the franchise what do you expect), but there have been numerous new designs since the films started.

On the subject of bad endings... School Days.
