As for the OP, it's not uncommon for the first episode to have no op, so who knows.

I'm trying so hard to like this, but after learning that the first game is available for pc, I think that's probably the best option of the two.

Is it common for it to just reuse footage from the episode though? It's not something I personally have come across often.

I started to watch some of this season's premieres today. Gundam BF, Kill la Kill, and Kyoukai no Kanata. gundam was good. A lot better than it could come off as. Plus Ramba freaking Ral holding a gouf kit. Best scene out of the whole episode. That is . Hat sold me on the program. Kill la Kill was some wild and unexpected stuff. This stood out the most of the three I watched. Definitely has my interest and desire for more shenanigans. Lastly, kyoukai no kanata presents an imteresting enough supernatural tale. I'll also be coming back for more for this series.

Think Kick Ass, but replace "inspired by comic book heroes" with "inspired by Showa style toku shows". There's even a Kamen Rider reference in the first 5 minutes.

Samurai Flamenco is a love letter for tokusatsu shows, that takes place in the "real" world. It's funny, inspiring and awesome, and I have very high expectations for it.

Bottom line: You like toku? You'll like this.

Valvrave's back, and it was surprisingly decent, instead of throwing stupid plot twists at every minute it actually focused on solving all the problems they had in season 1.

Will it change my opinion of the show... nope, but Valvrave has decent episodes from time to time, and this one was surprisingly enjoyable.

I just found out that they've green-lit a second season of Gargantia. While part of me is happy, the other part of me felt that it was well enough to leave the ending as it was.

Finished episode 1 of the new Valvrave season.

Valvrave is one of those animes you really can't talk about without spoilering the crap out of it so yeah…all I'm going to say is it has a pretty interesting way of starting the first season by basically continuing from a cliffhanger.

Valverave... Isn't that the show where the writers found a way to have the main character sexually assault someone and have it not be his fault?

yup The show has it's dumb quriks but…I think the dumb quirks make it kind of entertaining to watch.

It's getting me in the mood to build the Unit 1 and Unit 3 model kits I got at FanExpo…sounds like a fun long weekend project actually.

Well there's a lot of unanswered questions that make the plot kinda interesting.

The first season is…well it forgets it's suppose to be a mecha anime sometimes but it's still a show I can suggest people to try though.

Well, I've only seen one review of it... though seeing as how you and I usually seem to have similar tastes in anime I guess I could give it a looksie.

Valvrave is an intentional trainwreck. It introduces pointless plot twists very often in a misguided attempt to create controversy. If anything that makes it even more silly.
But overall it's not awful, when it actually focuses on developing the characters and plot it's ok. And L-Elf is an enjoyable character as he's aware that everything around him is stupid and uses it to his advantage.

Bottom line, if S2 does a great job fine by me, but S1 is... ugh.

As for that scene, yes it happened, it was badly handled and recent events havr proved it to be pointless.

Yeah, just turn off your brain and enjoy all the batshit crazy that happens.

At least the opening song sounds nice. :D Really has the feeling of a song that gets you pumped for what I'm about to watch... until you remember you're watching Valverave. :lol

Just finished all of Full Metal Panic and started Infinite Stratos.

Clannad: After Story Episode 25 not only drew me back into Clannad for completion's sake, but also was an AU episode. It was okay. The ending was a it nonsensical, but it was okay.

To me the ending is as important as the op, sure you usually don't pay much attention to it, but it carries an important message.

Kimi no shiranai monogatari, sums up Bakemono better than any of the ops.

And Magia by Kalafina fits Madoka's mood better than the op.

I recently started Infinite Stratos as well, it's my friend's favorite anime, and he wouldn't stop bothering me until I watched it. :lol

I agree with algo. While historically less impressive than openings, endings can still be good...

I recently watched through it because of the second season, I can say I enjoyed it.

G Gundam episodes 1-4

Hmmm.. That setup of the Gundam Fight sounds a lot like the premise from a series from another Japanese Mega Franchise I love.. oh.. what was it called. oh yeah Kamen Rider Ryuki. There's a bunch of Gundams fighting in a competition to win control of Earth for 4 years

I'm really interested to see where this story can go. Granted, I don't give a shit about any of the main characters.
