I'm excited for a lot of stuff rumored for this Hobby Next Phase!
I hope we see the next FRS kit as well. But as a big fan of SD Gundam, the SD MG tease is enticing! I think an FRS Accel kit would make a lot of sense. |
I'm really really hoping on #1/#2 myself. It would make sense with Shin KR and it's something we BADLY need a good affordable alternative to with the high prices of the Seihous and how old the originals are; in a similar vein to Agito, Hibiki etc
|
My prediction is probably Wizard, since it's Wizard's anniversary recently
but probably it'll be more OOO forms, Ichigou is possible, or Eternal I really want to see Garren tho, |
I don't think they reveal premium bandai products at these events, right? So I doubt OOO forms. Wish they would hurry and reveal the next Preban releases though...
|
Just a heads-up, if you're expecting FRS Rider news tonight, don't-- it's part of tomorrow's reveals instead of tonight's

Was absolutely NOT expecting it! Well, I mean, I thought it'd be #1 to coincide with Shin Kamen Rider but this is just a little bit adjacent to my predictions!
This is their first time doing a spin-off project so that's VERY promising. It's of course because Shin Kamen Rider is coming out while this is releasing but I wonder if this means we might get Amazons in the future too? |
Not exactly a thrilling reveal but I'll take it. If it leads to a proper Showa #1 and so-on that's fine by me.
Still would've liked Wizard or Kiva more. |
I was expecting Heisei Rider to complete the Heisei Rider Project, but eh, at least we can see Blade on display tomorrow
|
Not bad, definitely not what I was expecting. I miss the days when they'd reveal two FRSs at these events.
|
This FRS is a dream come true. Finally an affordable 1/12 ichigo.

FRS Ultraman Decker prototype!

FRS Ultras ftw. Seriously I can't wait to see more like Z and Regulos.
And that Shin Kamen Rider? Beautiful. |
Ah yes Shin Kamen Rider doing his signature TBD pose!
|
Can Skull do the same Form Change as the other W figures, even if it'd look weird?
|
|
YEAAAH that's so fun

So I got Skull and have "started" painting, even though I haven't painted anything yet, just prepped. I will say, looking at these new parts, I think it's awesome that they got the mouth slits separated, but it makes the chest ribs seem extra cheap. Even if I paint them there's going to be an obvious seam. The W body is already one of the simpler FRS kits, and I don't see why Bandai couldn't have sprung for individual rib pieces. The cheapness of these model kits kind stings, especially since they're not cheap.
Also I hope we get more news soon. I really want to get a FRS Battle Hopper. I'd buy two, one for my Black model ad one for my SS SHF. (Since he really seems too big for the old Souchaku Henshin-derived SHF Battle Hopper) |
I'd like Battle Hopper, but I think they've taken quite a few breaks now from their Heisei project and that was just because of the 50th anniversary series items. So I think we'll see them do a lot more heisei riders in a row for a bit.
|
Place your bets, do you think they'll do a model of Black Sun? They've already done Black, it makes sense to do the new version too.
|
No, because the textures make the design too complex to capture. Same with 1992 Shin

If they can make Shodo figures of the designs they can make Figure-rise. I think it's more likely that Black Sun being a more adult-oriented show and a bit of a flash in the pan means it's less likely to be made. |

Ryuga & Dragblacker!! Premium Bandai, 5500 yen, pre-orders start tomorrow with release in April

new hateblo post about Ryuga and maybe as usual, they will show product pics of Blade either today or December 10th |
Ryuga took far longer to make than I expected, nit that I'm getting him.
|
This reminds me that I have a fully built Dragreder sitting in a storage box because it's just too big to display! I was going to sell it to a friend, but I forgot that the tail is Ryuki's sword so they can't really be split.
|
Fingers crossed for a Figure-rise Standard Kamen Rider Geats.
|
FRS news next week, featuring both Rider and Ultraman! My guesses are Wizard and Decker

I'd go for Black RX.
|
Ultraman Zero looks great.
Honestly I never thought we'd get FRS Ultraman kits because they are actually harder to do than Kamen Rider characters due to the suit patterns, which you would only want as separate parts. Very impressed. Can't wait for Blade! |
Blade Figure Rise Standrad looks more show accurate than SHF Blade in my opinion.

Proportionally FRS is very solid as well; so I wouldn't even be surprised to see their Drive and Gaim look more accurate than the original SHFs. Blade is definitely lightyears ahead of the SHF here for the head alone!
|
Blade is going to need so much paint...
