For me it is that certain raw quality that the first Ichigo suit has because of the color scheme and the texture of the costume as a whole that makes it great.

So, maybe a random question, but how accessible do you keep your Figuarts: all on display, or do you keep any at hand to mess around with?

Like, for me, I've usually got a transforming robot toy on my table, to mess around with while I'm watching something or whatever. I've got a friend with a bunch of Marvel Legends on his computer desk. Do you do the same thing with Figuarts? Or are they more display pieces to you, something that you'll repose but not the sort of thing you fiddle with?

(I was going to make a theory about them being expensive figures, and maybe that's not the sort of thing you just have sitting around, but I'm currently messing with a $100 Mastermind Creations 3rd party transforming robot, so that theory's pretty well discredited.)

I'm interested to know how everyone interacts with their purchases!

I guess it depends on how big your collection is. For me, my collection consists of:-

- Seihou Amazon
- Seihou OOO
- Seihou Ankh
- Build RabbitRabbit
- Cross-Z Great

Along with a few figures that I feel are of comparable enough quality to throw in there -- Figure-Rise Ex-Aid and Zi-O; FMCS Meteor; and TK Drive, Mach, Chaser and Type: Tridoron.

So all in all, that's about 13 figures; and even then I tend to just have the SHFs and Figure-Rises out most the time. With such a (comparatively) smaller collection than most, I naturally end up messing around with poses a LOT; and right now I'm having just 1-2 figures displayed at once, with which ones those are being swapped out every now and then.

My collection's due to grow, though. I have the Birth Bros arriving soon enough; I've got pre-orders on Seihou Ankh and Seihou Tajador; and I've got my sights set on Seihou Momotaros and a couple more Figure-Rises. So maybe my displaying methods will change!

I have a relatively large collection, but I fiddle with them a LOT. Mainly because I use them for photos. I have one (far too small) shelf for them, but a certain few are always near my lightbox ready for photos.

I'll mess with my figures every now and then, usually for photo ideas, but otherwise I just kinda display and leave them as-is most of the time.

There was that one time I got together with a few friends to make a temporary shared display out of our Dragon Ball figures though, so that was fun.

I tend to not touch them once I add them to my display because I don't want to deal with trying to repose them the way I had them before. That's why I prefer to take a bunch of photos of them first before adding to my display. It's also why sometimes I leave them in their boxes for a long time as I wait for more figures to arrive so I can do photos with them together. Haha.

I have a sizeable collection consisting mostly Figma with Figuarts sprinkled in there. Everyone's just kinda placed up there, looking cool. I haven't bought or DIY'd risers myself. They just stand there, looking cool. Every once in a while a pick 'em up, mess around, and take photos.

Maybe Shining Hopper is some weird exclusive release down the road?

And at this point I don't think there will be any more Zero-One releases at retail, especially not a seemingly universally loathed character like Thouser. I’m just assuming Japan hates him as much as the west does. In that case he would rot on shelves just like Ryugen did.

A good half of my collection is behind glass (the Gaim collection and the main Riders), random Riders and Build-stuff are currently on a shelf, so is my Ultraman collection. I plan to move everything in a display case though. I just don’t have the space currently; I want to rearrange stuff once I’ve moved.

If it helps reduce his aftermarket price... It's a shame Zero-one decided to be generous with the weapons and then NOT announce the bike and/or a retail release. I'd say it's the pandemic, but they had their chance to make Valkyrie, Jin, or Horobi as retail. Maybe even SAH.

Still hoping Thouser's retail, though. I don't think my shelf'll be enough with just Zero-One, Vulcan, and FF Jin.

While that's certainly good for us I'm hesitant to wish for a company’s product to not sell well. Just hurts further development or new releases if they make losses. Not that one single figure being a dud sales-wise is going to run them out of business but still.

Why? I think it’s better this way. If no one wants to buy the bike they use up to a whooping two times in their Rider shows nowadays then don’t release it and actually include weapons with the figures that need them.

And them not announcing more currently - I think we might see something very soon. Exclusive of course.

I doubt the pandemic has anything to do with this, they decided very early on what to release at retail and what not to, "Main Rider and secondary Rider at retail and then one final retail release at best" is how things work with Rider SHF's for ongoing shows these days.

More retail releases would be nice for sure but I don’t see it happening.

How well did the Garo Seihou line perform? Because I'm hoping they'd whip out more Makai Knights, although the only one I can see likely happening is Garo Shou. Would love to get a Roze and pose him alongside Decade.

I have no idea - Garo is that one Toku franchise I could never get into, so I don’t collect the figures either. But considering they made that monster-looking fella – they’ll probably do more in the future.

Welp here it is. First up I put em in a cabinet. This one's about 5-7 years old, and I'm planning to get a proper glass cabinet but due to the pandemic I'll get it after everything's back to normal.

Due to the cabinet's frame some of it is obscured which is why I wanted to get a proper glass cabinet but even so, these figures will stay there anyway. Plus the cabinet was really meant to be a bookshelf lol.

Thanks to my Gunpla addiction which happened since last year the space if getting pretty crowded. The Figuarts used to inhabit those two stories but now they all had to share a 'floor' to accommodate my High Grades.

Which brings to my new display shelf This is the second highest row, reserved for Figuarts. Top is for Ridewatches, while the bottom would be Master Grades, Real Grades and the lowest are just my comic books and PS4 & Switch games. But more importantly, the Figuarts. God I can't wait for my Ginga, Victory and Geed to arrive to complete that New Generation line........ and Zero, Titas, Fuma and Z eventually lel.

The middle one was empty because I'm waiting for my Garo and Brain and Zero-One to arrive. Which was supposed to but thanks to the pandemic it's halted.

That's a great collection of amazing figures you have right there. I usually separate displays based on their fiction but I enjoy the variety of figures you have on display.

Oh hey, this helps alot with something; Are you still torn on whether or not to get the SHF White Ranger? If so, just go ahead and get it. It'll fit in way better with the rest of your stuff than the LC one will.

Anything not on display sits in my closet but is accessible since I enjoy taking pictures of my stuff. If I have an idea, I go in and dig out who I need since I know whose box is where. When it comes to wanting to mess with a figure for fun's sake sometimes I'll take one off the display or out of the closet and keep them on my side desk to play and pose with. Right now I have Genm and some Shocker grunts nearby.

According to bandai’s blog, Plat form will be able to parts swap with the other SS den-o parts. Aaaaaaand preordered. Might pick up a second for the inevitable rod and axe form.

One can only hope that the "Upper body parts" they include with Plat Form are actually the back parts of the Sword & Gun Form armor, because that set only includes one.

Meaning if Plat Form won’t come with it - you would still need to buy 2 x Sword & Gun Form sets to have the necessary parts for Plat Form to become a second complete form. But in that case you'd have two bodies anyways.

So unless I actually know what this includes exactly I will hold off on it.

Got Vulcan in. Still kinda surprised to have gotten him while my Bluefin Zero-One is still stuck in their warehouse on lock-down but what are you gonna do.

He feels great. Looks even better in-hand than in promo pics. The metallic blue just pops against the bone white on him, I love it. Also really cool how his shoulders pop out a bit to give more leeway for the articulation, so you can have him holding the shotriser with the other hand cradling it for stability. Can't wait for things to free up enough to allow shipping again so Zero-One can have his sword.

Pre-ordered Vulcan from CDJapan but chose SAL and I don't think they can do shipping changes after payment has been finalized so I'm probably gonna have to wait till the restrictions are lifted before I get him in. Haha. My BOP Harley is also in the same boat.

That sort of... not exactly minimalist, but clearly selective nature of just picking who you really want rather than going for completionism, and making sure they look great together. Personally I think it's turned out extremely well!

I try not to be a completionist...but I kind of am? My goal is to get all Main, Secondary, and Dark Riders...but even in those categories, there are ones I don't want, but feel compelled to get.

Like I have no interest in base Garren...but Jack Garren would be one I'd love to have, same for G3-X vs. G3.

And there are also random ones I'd love to have, like Diend Complete. For some reason I love that suit.

I got the original Ultimate Kuuga, and I am shocked by how good it is. Obviously the SS is better in...every way, but considering the price difference? I'm pretty happy.

But I must ask...are his eyes supposed to be so pale? All the reviews sow him with nice bright eyes, but they're barely a light pink on mine, certainly not red.

Hey guys, new to this site. Glad to see a dedicated thread for Figuarts

Quick questions: how do you guys clean your figures. I have mine in an open shelf so every now and then I have to dust them off with a dry brush or microfiber cloth.

Anyone else do the same? Any good plastic cleaner sprays out there ?

I'll usually just blast 'em with a can of condensed air every once in a while. I've only got a half-dozen figs, though, so those with larger collections probably have more helpful solutions!

I hope they do SS SHF for V3 and Riderman (Unless they haven't already). The old Showa Figuarts are already showing their age compare to Ichigo and Nigo on my shelf.

Yup; the only Showa Riders done so far are Ichigou, Nigou and Amazon. I was just thinking the other day actually that it'd be cool to get more!

I would do so many things for SS Super-1, Black, and Shin.

ESPECIALLY Shin.

Plus in terms of how well the figures would sell, it's not too much of a problem -- all of the Showa Riders outside of Ichigou, Black RX and Stronger only have the one singular form - and Black RX is the only one with non-recolours - so with V3 for example, you just release him, his bike and you're done.

And since they're all considered Main Riders, even if the Heisei Era is more popular you can be assured they'd shift units.
