I picked up a (admittedly cheap) Shadow Moon Renewal off of Mandarake and am disappointed. I knew that unlike Black and RX, Shadow Moon was a retool, not an all new mould, and it shows. And to make matters worse, I broke the head fin. (not the figure's fault, just a bummer) The finish and engineering are dated, despite the new pieces, like the shoulder pads and elbows.

I'm hoping they'll do SS releases for Black, SM, and RX. The Renewals are nice, but are a little thin and have the shitty hip design. (nothing like a Kamen Rider who feels like he's gonna break when you try to put him on his bike)

JP Twitter finally got a hold of Hyper Muteki and the hair looks as restrictive as it looks.

Is it bad that a small part of me wished for a Sentai Figuarts revival lol.

I mean it's ridiculous because we already have Lightning Collection as a substitute but they are no Figuarts. Plus Figuarts nowadays are stingy with accessories.

I mean I've seen out-of-package shots on my Twitter feed from JP collectors and photographers I follow and it looks fine to me. From what I can tell based on that packaged shot alone you can be module with the hair pieces since it looks like he has motionless hair already on that can be swapped with the extra parts.

So if Hyper Muteki's out, how long is it till Ratoratah, Horobi and Ankh?

Just realized, know what'd be cool, even if it likely won't happen? If the eventual SS Faiz not only came with the boombox, but also had glow in the dark paint, so we can recreate that iconic shot from the opening.

Not glow in the dark per se, but Bandai has done it before with a black light luminous set with the old Faiz. I suspect them doing the same for SS Faiz, minus the luminous light base.

Kinda makes me excited for SS Faiz, yet I wanna pick up the FRS too...

I'm glad they decided to include the weapons with the secondary Rider this time around instead of the bike. Because most people who bought Zero-One were probably going to buy Vulcan as well anyway.

You would think though that with a name like Kamen Rider SABER, that sidearm has to be packed in with the first figure. Its not like all those Gaim figures had their weapons packed separately ( assuming Saber follows a similar weapon motif to Gaim )

Ideally the "saber" is the Henshin device somehow connected to the belt and they cannot realistically cut it out.

I find it really funny how the vast majority of Zi-O SHFs are very cheap, but then the goddamn bike literally no-one cares about is extremely rare and expensive just because of the weapons.


Talking of Zi-O SHFs, would anyone in the UK be willing to do a thing of like... you get Geiz, and I get the two Ridewatch stands? I really want the Zi-O ridewatch stand to finish off all 19 Heisei Riders, and Geiz's would be super nice too.

I ended up getting Vulcan first, though I will get Zero-One for sure.

And Izu if she actually gets made. Any time a teaser drops with a TBD price and date, I'm hesitant to get my hopes up.

I want to say getting a teaser is a lot more promising than only seeing the figure shown off at a Tamashii event. Haha. Definitely hoping for more news about Izu soon though.

I can't recall a time a teaser like this hasn't led to an actual release; it's really just figures showcased at Tamashii Nations that are a toss-up.

Anyone has any advice on how to swap hands on very tight pegs?

I've tried soaking up both the wrist and the hand in warm water and haven't had much luck

Try using a figuart stand that has a peg where you can put the hand into the peg to wide the hole.

Or try putting the hands under very hot water for 10-15 seconds it will make it very easy to put on the peg. I done this and it helped with tight pegs. Let me know if it works for you.

Horobi's lookin pretty sexy as per usual. I didn't get a pre-order from him, but I do have Jin.

What I do is remove the hands (If they're really tight, soak them in hot water for about 30 seconds and then slowly pull them off the peg) and then use an exacto knife to slightly shave down the ball peg. Obviously you don't wanna cut off huge chunks or else you'll ruin the peg's ability to plug into any hands at all, but just shave off slight flakes all around the peg.

Did that with my Kyoryu Red, my Go-Busters, my original Den-O and a few others with really concerningly-tight wrist pegs.

I wish I had done that with SS Hibiki. Ended up snapping the left wrist and having to glue it back, so no more wrist movement beyond swivel.

Really don't understand why SHF still doesn't have standardized wrist joints.

Widen the wrist holes with a screwdriver.

Dishwashing soap to kinda grease up the joint a bit?

Since I got him a month ago, I've been messing around with the original SHF Zeronos, and...

... man, I've found I really don't like this mold and it's such a shamed. I've certainly seen images that make the mold look great; many online images of Liner and New in particular had previously sold me on those figures, but in-hand is always a completely different story and unfortunately that's the case with this for me. He at once feels far too skinny and lanky with legs that are especially far too long yet also comes up short next to other SHFs and I find I can never get him in a pose I like.

It's a shame because there's so much about the figure that is good - the details and paint are as nice as ever; there's a LOT of accessories including a lot of surprising minor inclusions - but as a whole package it just didn't work for me. Guess I'll be waiting on the Seihous of New, Liner and Climax :(

Yeah after getting SS Den-O I dread taking Zerenos out of his box. I know he'll automatically look just as bad as OG Den-O did standing anywhere near him. Which really is too bad considering yeah, he does come with a lot.

I definitely knew that a Seihou would blow him out the water; he was a highly requested one after all. But, like... I guess to me he looked like one of the "well it's not great but it's still okay and usable" ones, a bit like Birth and Fourze are for me? So I had this expectation of him being just fine unlike W or Kuuga or Kabuto going into it and I was so let down. I actually kinda dislike him more than my two old W SHFs!

Yeah having the old and new Den-O side by side...it' not even close. And I thought the old Den-O still stacked fairly well against some of the newer stuff.

I'm just scared to think about how the inevitable SS Ryuki is going to make my older Ryuki figuarts look, because I doubt the SS line is going to go as deep as the old Ryuki line did....I wouldn't even feel confident about Knight coming out of that line, let alone Zolda and Ouja, who were key to that show for me.

But I'm hoping Faiz is next because he's the one that stands out to me as being way too outdated for the newer Rider figures. Blade is still "alright" and Fourze has some odd proportions, but I can live with it since he's a teen character.

Ryuki has enough staying power that it got a follow-up in both Ex-Aid and Zi-O so... I'd say that Knight, Zolda, and Ouja are at worst "somewhat unlikely". Beyond the core four though, I'm a lot less optimistic. Particularly with Contract Monsters.

Ryuga is guaranteed, right? I mean, a head, belt, and color swap is all he needs, right?

Man too bad SS Ichigo is sold out everywhere. I wanna get him to pose with an OG Ultraman.

Hoping for them to make an original blue colored pink eye Ichigo though, I love that color scheme so much.

Also Ankh reviews are out and he looks rough IMO. He's like the recent Endgame Figuarts, the likeness is there, but it's so soft it just loses it.

The core 4 Ryuki riders plus Ryuga are more than guaranteed imo

I don't take pics of Figuarts with faceprint at face value anymore personally. Mainly cause the result is always the same: The faces look off in-pictures but totally fine in-hand. I've even seen the same being said with the Endgame heads; They look off in photos but then people with them also say they look fine in-person.

That argument would be fair...if Figuarts Old Man Han Solo, and BOTH TLJ Luke Skywalkers didn't look phenomenal in both photos, and in person.

Same goes for the first Tony Stark Figuarts, and so many others.
