In what way was Zordon useless, exactly? He actually mentored his teams. He didn't just stick to a wall and egotistically put his voice in all of the weapons and all of the zords like Gosei. (And it still bothers me that they kept voice for the DC morpher). Zordon was a good mentor.

In what ways did he mentor?
He never instilled wisdom or trained the rangers. He was just "Shit's going down. Go fix it."

When things were getting dire, he basically said "Oh, well, there's been a set of powers over there that I didn't tell you about over the past year because shut up. Go find them."

Tensou had no hands and was the size of a Roomba.

Who do you think was more useful to a stationary talking head that can't really do anything?

that was only done in Turbo.
I know that the Zeo powers were hinted at during season 3.
the Zeo crystal was a thing that the writers gave buildup to and it was awesome.

So when they adapt Ninninger for a Power Rangers season, what if they get Jason David Frank as the 6th Gold Ranger. However they have JDF play White Stranger ( Tommy Oliver's Wild West ancestor) as the Gold Ranger instead playing as Tommy as the Gold Ranger? I thought it would be a funny idea since I remember the time travel episode that they did in MMPR.
