I used to think the unofficial "Seventh Ranger" term was useful to refer to guys like Deka Master and Zubaan, but after reconsideration, that probably complicates things more than necessary. It's not like KR, where you can have a Primary, a Secondary, a Tertiary and Others. Sentai are more team-based, so now I just use the more popular term "Extra Ranger" to refer to those beyond the Cores, Sixth and Evil.

Regarding Racles though, yeah, he seemed like a good kid in the past, so there must be something else going on with him other than just being a tyrant king.

For me, "extra" is either someone who is unique to their show or who became a ranger very late. And I agree that Deka Master is "extra". It's just that after Stacey and Don Murasame, it seems to me that such characters will become an obligatory component, like the sixth ones once did. And then they will need their own name to separate them from the real extra rangers. Of course, I'm getting ahead of myself, but still it seems to me that there is a tendency towards this.

2. Tombo Ohger - President
3. Kamakiri Ohger - Queen
4. Papillon Ohger - Judge/Monarch
5. Hachi Ohger - Feudal Lord

And of course Ookuwagata Ohger is a king himself, but a cruel one.

Don Murasame definitely looked like he would fit this hypothetical "Seventh" role, but ironically Sonoi-ni-za joined the Donbrothers two episodes earlier than him. Sadly, despite having one of the best designs in the show, Murasame's character didn't really contribute much other than his interaction with the two Jirous and Inuzuka. Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger shows Hakaizer becoming the eighth Zenkaiger, so that complicates things further.

There was also a debate about "Seventh" in Kyoryuger, whether it would apply to Kyoryu Violet for being more active than Cyan and Grey, or rather to Silver for being the mentor and having his own unique Morpher and gold accents on his suit. Sure, there are Secondary Rider debates as well, like the infamous Garren VS Chalice, but with the Sentai formula, there's even more potential for disagreements. For me, I don't mind too much what terms people use, but it can be a sensitive subject for some.

And isn't this a reason to praise ToQgers, who numbered everyone? The viewer is won't get confused here. And by the way, they also ended up with seven Rangers.

Probably, but given my record on this forum, I don't think I'm capable of praising ToQGer. :lol The Dekarangers were also numbered though.

There was a seventh purple one in the movie. Though I doubt he?ll show up in anything again (mostly because they cannibalised the suit for Ryu Commander)
