You can still write a good show with only 20 episodes. I don't see the big deal if they have a one season with 20 episodes.

Why haven't we seen a Power Rangers Ninja Steel DVD yet? Around this time last year, we were about to get the Power Rangers Dino Super Charge complete season set. Did the Hasbro deal have something to do with why we haven't gotten a Ninja Steel DVD yet?
|
Ninja storm wasn't bad, only the comical tone was boring.
|
As anyone found the new Monster Guide out yet? "Alien Encounters in Angel Grove"?
How is it? |
Would be possible a reunion movie ?
|
Would any of you recommend Hyper Force and Super/Dino Charge? I've never been much of a PR fan- more Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.
But with Beast Morphers coming out next year, I thought I'd give the franchise a try. |
I'd like to see villains like in lost galaxy and lightspeed in PR again.

So, Saban is still in the news, but for different reasons! Found this article via happenstance, and it was very political and sounded less-than-favorable toward his role in politics! Could only bother reading several of the comments, but it didn't take long for P.R. to worm its way in! One was a comment on kids being stupid, a few used Ivan Ooze with one blaming P.R. for Saban, but there were two of note:
- Was Ivan Ooze based on Saban himself by a crew member who couldn't stand him? - Another mentioned Shuki Levy in referencing royalties and royalty rights! I won't mention the context of the article, only the link! Read if you so choose! https://splinternews.com/haim-saban-...cussion-region |
Wasn't there an issue of the power rangers comic issued in June? Its a monthly release right?

As fans get older, they tend to look back on the old material differently and come to different conclusions! One such idea as come to mind, but bare in mind that it is just a theory!
As everyone knows, Austin and Thuy and Walter left in Season 2 and their characters were written-out and replaced with the characters of Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. The direct-to-video, not-available-on-Netflix, Halloween Special "Lord Zedd's Monster Heads" is an over-dubbed episode (of questionable continuity) in which Zedd decides to hold his Halloween Party and spends the majority of the time reminiscing about past Monsters and past battles. The flashback's are as follows: Halloween Tommy trapped in the Dark Dimension with Dead Monsters, Knasty Knight, Eye Guy, Revived Monsters in the Theater, Terror Toad, Silverhorns, Serpentera destroys the Deserted Planet. Then they use the Wedding Reception footage for the Halloween Party. Throughout much of the flashbacks, Zedd and Squat provide disembodied commentary (due to the availability of their voice actors)! Here is where I believe things are symptomatic of what was happening behind the scenes! When they hit the Terror Toad recap, they go pretty much in a straight-line and don't speed through the whole confrontation. The Toad initially fought Yellow, Black, and Red, and anyone who knows the episode knows what happens to Trini and Zack, which is included in the recap before moving on. Of note, there is no Zedd or Squat commentary at all during the Toad recap (though I believe that Squat and the Terror Toad share the same voice actor)! Afterwards, they include Silverhorns, which is the first battle for the Yellow, Black, and Red replacements, and do include commentary from Zedd and Squat for that one! Would I be remiss in assuming that the use of footage, and how one battle of significance regarding those who left precedes the first battle of significance regarding those who replaced them, is meant to essentially spite the actors who departed!?! The more I think about it, the more I feel like they used a non-traditional special to essentially "middle finger" Austin, Thuy, and Walter! I'm not saying I'm right, but the timing and placement, in addition with the knowledge of how the battles originally occurred, makes the whole thing feel...suspicious! The "Monster Heads" Episode is likely only available, in recent years, on the MMPR Box Set Bonus Discs! It was included on the bonus discs for the first box! |
Just because Chip Lynn will work in Pr along with Hasbro, doesn't mean he will do the same thing in Saban brands.

I feel for the Ninja Steel cast. They seem like really good people, they are really good people, fun and.. Yea. They were stick with a crap season built from a crap Sentai season and everyone's now pointing at the new shiny thing in Hasbro and Beast Morphers.
That being said I will now point at the new shiny thing and ask a question. Is anyone else here for a Cheeda Nick/Go-Buster Ace repaint turning it into Beast Wars Cheetor? Because I am here for that. |

"Forever Red" feels like Star Trek DS9's "Trials and Tribble-ations", but DS9 had more to offer which is why it isn't the only episode to get recognition! Wild Force had only so much to offer, and Ninja Steel was trying to follow Dino Charge and its success without shaking much up! It was an ill-timed business decision on the part of Hasbro and Saban because it does take away from Super Ninja Steel's latter half, which will only be remembered at this stage for the Anniversary components! But the ill-timing works on a real-world level as well, because I had just lost my grandmother when the news that Hasbro would make toys for Beast Morphers broke, which was a fun little distraction at the time because it gave me something else to think about! I would say that all we can do is try to give Super Ninja Steel whatever credit we can, because they did most of that BEFORE Beast Morphers and the switch to Hasbro! Respect what they did because this will truly be last blast for Saban's involvement, though Shattered Grid and Beyond the Grid are making bigger and bolder leaps and moving the franchise further along than we thought possible even 5 years ago! We honestly don't know how good the first true entry in the "Hasbro Era" will be, so we have let Super Ninja Steel do what it can as we bid farewell to Saban's involvement! JDF appeared at an Anime Festival in Bossier City, Louisiana just this past weekend, and made note of the fact that Saban did care for the franchise and did find Sentai on TV in a Japanese hotel room and tried to spread it and pitch it to the world! Say what you will about Saban's character and his politics, as well as JDF's, but I do believe that Frank was correct and that Saban, love him or hate him, ultimately succeeded! Super Ninja Steel and the Comics are Saban's swan song with the franchise! Let's not forget that! P.S.: Transformers crossover with Beast Morphers! Something like this: http://tokusatsunetwork.com/2018/04/...ion-announced/ P.P.S.: I kinda think the news in that link might be a gag, but don't quote me on that either! |

For the rest of what you wrote, I actually remember wild force for more than the anniversary. I personally consider that episode it's own thing away from the season. Wild force was really good imo. My younger brother and I watched it religiously. The zenaku arc was one of the best evil Ranger stories told. The zords are beautiful still to this day. The standard roll call was really awesome. The final suitless roll call still gives me the chills. True the general public may have forgotten wild force but not everyone did. Heck I have the theme on my driving Playlist. Every time I hold my wife's flip phone, I almost always mentally call out "wild access". I am still trying to give ninja steel a chance. It being the final neo Saban Era season, a sudarso being in it, and the anniversary are what's keeping me involved enough. My son actually enjoys it so watching with him makes me feel happy towards the show even with all its faults. I mean come on. I have to put up with the horrific nick app to watch it so I better enjoy it. Lol. |
I wish we had a kids network channel like Fox kids could broadcast PR decently.

I believe certain specials could be shown exclusively on Netflix, but I don't want it to be the sole carrier of the franchise because it limits the audience! |

The aforementioned Anime Festival also had Barbara Goodson (OG Rita Repulsa VO), and she seemed receptive to her other roles, like the female half to Mandilok! Master Org was a definite PR villain, and one to cover what Gaoranger didn't! The fact that the Master wasn't really the Master until he was defeated initially definitely gave him different aura from other villain leaders! Jindrax and Toxica actually reform and move on as opposed to their Gaoranger counterparts! He only appeared for two episodes, but how can anyone no like the deceptive villainy of Duke Org Onikage! The Jungle Blaster was also PR exclusive, and doesn't have a terrible design! The Battlizer of Wild Force was grossly underused, though! There was also a uniqueness in that ABC Kids would air new episodes BEFORE ABC Family! It had some good parts, but they weren't strong enough to overshadow "Forever Red"! Overdrive is a similar series in that the way Disney was handling things was changing, and few could care less for that season save for its Anniversary two-parter! Ninja Steel may become a Catch-22 between Wild Force and Overdrive! Either way, it can't be WORSE than Megaforce! Neo-Saban dropped the ball HARD with that one! |

Makes me wish Hasbro still had their Hub channel so they could air Power Rangers without fucking it over.

The generation is changing a lot. Earlier days favored more on to these kinds of networks because the internet was very primitive and only a few could afford it. Kids used to sit down and watch their favorite shows back when it was all simple. But these days, the youth is often focused on the internet. Older Sentai shows as well as the newer ones can now be viewed online, and fast, and ad-free. People rarely ever tune in to the television these days, and it is often used today for Netflix, YouTube, and many more. Maybe kids networks are dying because the generation of today prefers online streaming over ad-filled network. |

Morphin Legacy has news!
New calendars for Beast Morphers! Main Details: Possible show phrases like "Release the Beast" and "Activate Beast Power", Names for the Beast Bots/Buddyroids: Cruise, Jax, and Smash, and a possible PR-exclusive weapon for Red (which looks suspiciously like his vehicle CB-01)! Much of these details are noted in the article itself, so all credit goes to Morphin Legacy! http://www.morphinlegacy.com/2018/08...pre-order.html |
Calling it now, Cruise is Nick, Jax is Usada and Smash is Gorisaki.

As far as things go, the names are simplistic by comparison to their Buddyroid counterparts, but it could be much worse! Hasbro, better be some figures of the Beast Bots, especially a Transforming Cruise figure! |

Or "Roboknight." |
Why did this site stop doing front page article reviews and spoilers of the MMPR comics as they have released?
|
What is the impending purpose of the go go power rangers subforum that has literally said "coming soon..." for months?
|
Are they gonna use Go-Busters cgi in megazord fights? It was made like 5 years ago I wish they will make better cgi for Beast Morphers.

Wish I could answer. No clue :lol

For real though, probably best to just ask. |
Why didn't they use all Asian cast for Power Rangers Samurai if the story has big ties in with Japanese and Samurai culture?
|
Because that would take time and standards.
|
Also racism, don’t forget the racism. That is, at least, the main reason we didn’t get a Japanese Red that season.
