Does anyone know if Zenkaiger Minipla Set 5 is supposed to be the Zenkai Cannon?

Hmm, can't say I am the biggest fan of the ultrazord combo but I had that feeling after seeing the DX one. The only thing I don't really like is the way the legs look but the upper body looks pretty good.

This makes me really wish Zenkaiger could receive the SMP treatment. Figures wouldn't look so rough :lol

I like the design of this Zenkia Ultrazord, it fits with the Zenkaiger’s motif but I can admit that some aspects could use a redesign…namely the legs. Anyway, I’m definitely getting this bad boy to display with the rest of my Minipla, I just hope that this guys gets more screen time and is NOT a one off like SuperZenkai-OhJuran.

I do love that there will be a Dark Zenkai-Oh JuranGaon so I hope that it won’t cost to much.

The legs' problem also exist in minipla version but at least Zenryoku ZenkaiOh have more articulations than DX version.

Five? There are only 3 other SMP sets for Gaoranger announced: Muscle, Hunter, Knight. I'd love Icarus and God of course, might be tempted by a Hunter Blue Moon but I'll need Hunter proper in hand to say.

Tbh I dont anticipate gaokentaros, unless they absolutely cannot find a way to give us elephant other than that. I'd expect a soul bird over big gao lion

I'm so happy I managed to find a good deal on Zenryoku Eagle Minipla! It's crazy to me that pre-orders for Minipla kits often sell out before we're given full details of each set.

I knew Zenkaiger Minipla Set 04 was the all-combined robot, but we never saw pictures of it until most places sold out so I didn't grab a copy in time.

The spinning waist joint for my Gaobison just sheared off. Any clue if BBTS could offer replacement parts like that?

BBTS is sending me a replacement and I just ordered some plastic loctite so I should be able to get it back in one piece here soon. Wound up breaking the handle of the bigger fin blade trying to work the peg out of GaoBison's.. collar? I dunno anatomy of real animals, let alone toy ones. Anyway, got those on the way and praying it holds up. If nothing else, I'm just keeping one pair of legs forever transformed and keeping the other as a "perfect" Bison when I get my GaoKnight delivered.

How you liking Gaoking so far, Longhorn? Find all the little extra joints like all 3 elbows per arm? It's wild, I love it.

I dont think they do, since they get all their stock from japnese retail sites themselves and just sell it to us. So no official distribution nor product support. If you still have the pieces, i recommend checking out Lockon toy on youtube. He fixes sheared off joints in shf and models by drilling a hole in both pieces, driving a small metal rod through both pieces to join them together, and then reinforcing with crazy glue. Tried this with an old hg that i had that sheared at a peg, worked perfectly and never broke again. Super strong sealing on the formerly broken piece.

GoaBison has all sorts of problems. Everyone I know who built GaoKing has hated Bison, myself included.

I'll definitely check it out, but BBTS is shipping the replacements now
My biggest issue with him is just how much my thumbs hurt putting the robot hip assemblies together and the weird clearance issues with his hip skirts when transforming him. Overall hes a solid brick in bison mode and has great articulation combined

I had the same problem assembling it, which then mystified me when I put the finished mecha together, and the legs using those connections we weirdly floppy. I would've expected them to be too tight, not too loose. I suspect that's why the GaoMuscle set comes with a non-transforming, non-moving pair of bison legs. If nothing else, it's stable.

As to the clearance problem, sadly, GaoRhinos is even worse. On the plus side, he works better when he's a pair of legs, but transforming him is a nightmare, the stickers carefully applied to the skirts get pretty much destroyed in the process.

My Bison's hips are quite solid actually, not a single loose joint on my kit. The weakest connection I've found was the eagle connecting to lion. Specifically the hip cradle, his wings lock him in rather well for my purposes, though 'd more readily rip the animal out entirely than pull the crown up to change faces. Shame to hear about the rhino stickers but I imagine some careful filing and paint would fix that issue

I love it, and once I get Hunter and Muscle Striker (fun note; if it was allowed my username would've been GaoMuscle Striker Longhorn) I'm gonna study for how the unproduced Power Animals could backpack and such.

Unlikely we'll ever get Boar, Bat, Manta, Peacock, Wallaby, Walrus, and "Tortoise" (it's a sea turtle) but I'm always gonna dream

So, paint GaoRhinos instead of stickers gotcha.

How fun to build are those five? Clicking Bison together aside I've loved my SMP kits

Where do you find all the extra power animal concepts? I know they're out there just never found any good scans. Personally, I'm tryna get a job at Hasbro so who knows, maybe they'd let me make some extra zords like the dropped concepts haha

So BBTS is awesome. I emailed and just asked about a replacement for Bison's neck transformation hinge, and they sent me a whole new kit I think. Animus custom fodder on this old one maybe?

I use BBTS mostly but I think you'd find good luck on Mandarake and AmiAmi, they usually specialize in Japanese imports

You can still get Leopardon at BigBadToyStore.

The older megazords are gonna be a little harder to find as they aren't normally re-released.

GaoMuscle arrives Sunday, can't wait. Anyone here already have their copy? Any worrisome things or particular pains in the ass to assemble like Bison?

not really, only thing I remember being a pain was the transformation or to get the striker legs back into the Rhino mode and some of the stickers sucking

Haven't run into any major issues with the stickers but I have had trouble getting the rhino back into animal mode cleanly. There's always a gap between the two main halves, anyone have any tricks to get them to sit flush?

What is the next Shokugan Modeling Project Sentai Robo you all want to see?
