But yeah, this is very impressive. We were wondering how Saber is gonna bulk out it's waves when there's not that many new forms to show off, but I don't think we expected it to be with something so literally bulky. Like, here's an image of the box compared to a regular box.

So is the Arthur mech it’s own wave or is it part of wave 8? I’m guessing the prior due to box size, but I’d like to check.

Thanks for posting that image by the way, because there's something interesting about it -- they've not so subtlety blurred out the name of the wave, possibly meaning we're getting a figure from another series again. Perhaps they're doing Vulcan/Valkyrie's forms early? The new Ghost form for Saber? More Decade stuff?

As far as I can make it, what's been shown off in the blog is Book 8, which could be it's own thing with only Arthur and Saber Arthur, or not. Guess we'll find out in a week.

Well, 4 boxes for Arthur and 2 boxes for Saber makes half a wave -- so that means three more figures in Book 8! Will be very surprised if they're anything other than Tategami, Durandal and Sabela.

I think King Arthur Mech is gonna come in its own ".5" set. The boxes are too big and would disrupt logistics channels if it was going to come in a regular 12 box wave - unless it intents to take up 8 boxes on its own. That would be kind of a disappointment.

Either way, this was something I was pulling for ever since the Mech first showed up. I liked the Breaking Mammoth SoDo quite a bit, so I was excited to give it a friend, but wow that thing js big. I mostly collect 6 inch mecha and that thing would tower over them. I might hold off and see if it gets clearanced.

King Arthur form on the other hand is just awesome. It's relatively clean in the world of Saber suits. Hopefully it's not too hard to just get that box on its own.

If the wave of the Arthur mecha is featuring something from Zero-One, I doubt three would be multiple box sizes in one case. The Zero-One stuff would also have to have a bigger box. Maybe we're finally getting a Giger?

Managed to get sodo saber book 2 for 2720 after service fees on zen, but before shipping in Japan, so that’s pretty nice.

Yup! I usually try to pick up most main releases for each SODO line. Saber is special though since this is the first time since Ex-aid I'm watching a show as it airs, and I'm really enjoying it, so SO-DO saber is very high on my get list.

This is true, I've seen lots of like 3 decade complete 21s on Zenmarket, so that might help you if you can find 2 other people.

Alright, SO-DO update blog time! A few things to get out the way first:-

1. SHODO news next week, yay!

2. King Arthur Robo is confirmed to be a normal part of Wave 8! No extra waves, no Premium Bandai, no nothing; it's just part of a wave you can go to the shop and buy! And the pricing remains the same; 400 Yen per box like everything else.

3. So why are the boxes so big? How does that fit? ... Well, because every box in Wave 8 is just that big! I'm a bit unclear on whether this is a permanent change moving forward or if it's just a thing they had to do for this wave to fit King Arthur in, but either way it's a little bit cool!



Now, onto the reveals!

Saikou X-Swordsman's Wonderful & Powerful forms! Yeah, they're... they're separate figures! I guess when you've got this much free space from being so ahead of schedule you're able to do this, huh? They come with extra hands for normal X-Swordsman and Shadow; titled holding hands like with Saber and the Gaim releases, and closed fists. So a couple little extras in here!

So the wave is 4 boxes for King Excalibur and 2 boxes for Dragon Arthur form?

And 4 for the two Saikou forms, presumably leaving 2 boxes left to be revealed if it's the usual 12 box wave.

I'm absolutely befuddled on what the last box could be. I was so certain Tategami would be in this wave, but King Arthur's box having the name blurred out implies something beyond Saber and I can't fathom what it would be. Are they doing Saber's Ghost form early? Are they diving even deeper into Decade and doing Kivala or Rising Ultimate Kuuga or Diend Complete??

No no, my point is that if they're blurring the wave name then it's probably something outside of Saber. We'll get Dezast at some point

That’d be cool, but kind of random considering we don’t have any sodo ghost yet.

SO-DO is doing TTFC stuff in normal waves now, so Ghost is on the table at least. Rather have a Chronicle Ghost because GanGan Action didn't even make half his forms, but if they want to put Ghost's base form in the main line (and maybe Grateful since it's in the crossover), I'll buy it. Wouldn't be hard to design either since G-san has already made two Riders with Ghost's undersuit.

More seriously, should I turn my kenzan into a custom form/rider potentiall while stealing parts from other saber figs? Any ideas for a design if I do?

Cherry Skaphel did an art a while ago of Shinobi turned into a Kenzan recolor instead, why not that one?

There's also Kenzan Alangina if you into that.

I considered making Kenzan into Mikey from Ninja Turtles, but then I'd want make the rest since I already made Donnie.
