He will definitely benefit from a generous dose of gray panel lining. I think the gray areas on the shoulder pads might be stickers?

If the silver is like Ryuki the armor should be fine, unless you mean that's too shiny?

Blade looks good, though the blue is definitely too desaturated. The shiny silver looks great, and it's nice seeing all of the cards both as individual bits and as stickers on the blayrouser. Looking forward to see who out of the remaining four they'll tackle next!

The fabric wrinkles in the suit are actually pretty impressive.

It's a bit of a shame that the eye pieces have those black holes under them.

It looks like the dark gray areas on the shoulders turned out to be empty and the emblem on the bottom of the boot is indeed a sticker.

... it unfortunately means he ends up with a whopping one pair of hands, though; plus a single holding hand. As expected the cape is also as expected just alternate hard plastic pieces.

It looks like this one is one that's ended up a little hampered just due to what the design is, but if you're looking for a decent representation of Wizard you could do worse

I mean yeah it totally sucks with the cape and hands, but still leagues better than the old shf and i think a wired cape could be made. Wizards skirt design is pretty basic.

Oof just realized the skirt pieces are whats holding the ring holders and there are alternative bent ring holders on the bent skirt pieces.

Naturally! This is a much better option than the old SHF and WAP figure, just there's things about it that were never going to be fantastic. I think it'll end up one of the lesser FRS Rider kits through no fault of its own

Overall looks quite good, though the lack of hands is disappointing, wish they could've at least included fists. The painted rings are cool though, and I'm glad not to have to do silver eye stickers for him. It's a shame that we've slowed down to one figure per event after Skull and FangJoker were announced, otherwise we might've been getting our last Heisei Rider now.

I do wonder if Wizard will get a Blade style effects set, with more hands and some of his magic effects.

Wizard coming without fists is fine to me, given that he never punches anyone outside of the finale.

Might have seemed like things slowed down with how they did some events, but FRS Rider has kept to a very consistent release schedule of 5 figures at retail per year since 2021; and consistently all split up to different seasons of the year. You'll probably see the next event or the one after it reveal two Heisei Riders depending on how they distribute the rest of the 2023 releases

Wizard was always going to be a difficult kit and I think this one is still going to need a lot of help, but it looks quite good so far. The painted rings are definitely a relief.

Wizard looks good. I knew his design was going to need paint for the rings and other small details, and I knew the coat was going to be plastic but I'm pleasantly surprised we have optional billowing pieces. Fabric was never going to be an option given the silver trim.

I see that you?re right, but it feels weird getting three events with only one reveal in a row when before we would?ve had mostly events with double reveals, even if the actual release pattern is the same.

Just got FRS Decade and W LunaTrigger.

Decade: The figure is cool. The head assembly was a PITA and the eyes still won't hold in place (will probably glue those later). The colours are nice, the articulation is good but nothing extraordinary. I still get a kick out of tiny versions of gimmick items.

LunaTrigger: It's another W. A fairly good figure, but not a standout. The colours are fairly nice, and the functioning gimmick of the TriggerMagnum is cool. I do wish that earlier FRSs had gimmick holding hands though. However, having another W does have the perk of facilitating the memory change feature. Getting to make LunaJoker and CycloneTrigger is fun and makes me recall my fond memories of watching the show and seeing their unique abilities. The standout form change however is FangTrigger. While not technically accurate, it is possible to create a makeshift versuin of the Fang bow, and the colourscheme is absolutely killer.

Not bad really. There are 24 in total (12 front and 12 back), but none are outrageously small and the mould of the plastic guides their placement very well.

Got FRS Skull in today, among a plethora of Gunpla. I think he’s really good, and probably my favourite of the currently released W kits. While it still has some of the hindrances of W, the shiny silver is lovely with the black armour. I was surprised by the amount of parts separation/layering on the head, which has a great sculpt. All of the hat options are great, and the scarf looks nice though the visible hollowness is disappointing. The accessories are also cool, with the briefcase being a nice touch as well as the inclusion of gun-holding hands (although it does make the lack of them with LunaTrigger even more glaring). Overall happy to have this, and it just leaves me HeatMetal and KR Joker to get of the currently released W kits.

I can't believe it took until FRS to have a single version of Skull where the hat actually attaches to the head somehow.

Agreed that it's definitely the best iteration of the very dated W mould. And yeah, the fact that he got a dedicated gun-holding hand makes LunaTrigger's situation even more annoying. Not like Bandai hadn't done pre-posed holding hands before.

How do the SHFs do it?

I'm hoping they'll include gun-holding hands with something later, maybe W's bike?

I do wonder how they'd approach W's bike. Would it just be one piece like Kuuga's bike, or would it have the swapping ability? Would they do the alternate back parts (which would allow for the extra hands to be molded in the colours) , and would they be packed with the bike? Would they do a (P Bandai) Revolgarry, and would the extra bike bits come with it? And that is if they do his bike at all. Lots of possibilities.

Ugh, the hair still looks super weird. I wonder if the head can be built without it, then I can just paint the neck black and act like it's a proper, enclosed suit?

Just curious, but is it the visible hair in general that you dislike or the specific implementation of it on this kit?

Both. I dislike any exposed body on Kamen Rider/Sentai suits (unless it's battle damage) since it, to me, defeats the purpose of a full-body suit to leave such a vulnerable part exposed and dilutes the idea that the character is completely transformed, not merely wearing a costume. I also think it looks silly.

Entirely separate from that, however, I just think the hair here is incredibly poorly done. It's flat, featureless, and looks less like actual hair and more like a cartoon mop head. They went to such lengths creating different textures on the suit and did nothing to make the hair look even a tiny bit convincing.

So for anyone getting the shin kamen rider 1 kit, a Japanese fan posted that painting behind the eyes with a new white gundam marker gives it a more suit accurate look.

I think I might go silver. White looks too bright, and I've come to realize the chrome/reflective backing doesn't quite catch the light the way you'd think beneath the eyes. Silver usually makes them look more like the Figuarts.

Tiga is also a really cool pick to see, albeit a surprising one -- we just had not just Trigger and Decker but also Manga/Anime Evil Tiga, so you'd think they'd try and mix it up a little with someone not quite as similar? Lots of popular options too like Z or Seven.

But! It's still really cool, especially with the Seihou's issues. Finally a good Tiga figure who you can give his beam effect to without the fear of god :lol
