Stage 10 is predictably movie Riders. Ninja Player was the main focus and will be like Ride Players/Bugsters and in a single box. They also shown Kamen Rider Fuma (very nice) and Ex-Aid's VR (Troopers! 3!) form.

The more I see of the SODO ex-aid stuff, the more I feel like I made the wrong decision going with the LVUR figures. there are just too many characters still missing and I doubt they'll ever be made.

Don't get me wrong, the LVUR stuff is nice, and probably higher quality than the SODO stuff, but the roster is way smaller. no Poppy, no Ride players, no Burger Gamer.
I doubt there'll even be LVUR figures for the movie characters.

Ex-Aid has been an odd year. The SO-DO line is huge, easily the biggest candy toy line Kamen Rider has had. The line is 10 normal waves, one "Dai" wave, and a handful of Premium Bandai sets. For comparison, the biggest line before this was Gaim's Arms Action line. It was 6 waves (4 normal, 2 EX) and it still missed stuff that was in Arms Change.

SO-DO is making everything, even the random one off stuff like Legend Riders beyond the year before, JuJu Burger (the best Gashat), Proto Snipe, Hyper plugged into a normal Game Driver, the list goes on. The people running the line even end their blogs every week by mentioning their plans to release everything in this line. If they revealed Lovrica and the other Bugsters next week, I would not be surprised. That's how insane this line has become.

Meanwhile, LVUR kind of just seems to be doing the bare medium and missing a lot. I haven't been keeping a close eye on this line, but is there anything after Hyper/Lvl 99? Cronus? Lazer Turbo? Taddle Legacy? Poppy? Ride Player? Anything? I don't collect these main lines because I'd rather buy the candy toys while the show is on and then maybe some favorites in Figuarts, but usually the main line has most everything including Premium Bandai sets to get some missing or less likely to sell stuff. But not Ex-Aid. This is a very odd year for Kamen Rider action figures.

Honestly I quite like the setup of SO-DO. They probably will never make gimmick (main) figures for absolutely everything and it's nice for there to be something available for more obscure characters/forms. We got three versions of Graphite, I wouldn't be surprised by more Bugsters.

An upcoming PB set will include the Continue pipe. Every time I think this line can't surprise me it finds a new way to.


Also Fuma and Ninja Player will share a body, as it the armor set is equipped to the Ninja Player to make Fuma.

I suppose it's possible that they're related. I love Ex-Aid... and gave up on LVUR after Dragon Hunter and Lazer were released. The gimmick just wasn't satisfying, and it kept drifting around different gimmicks. In addition, Ex-Aid ended up with a great many Riders and unique forms; the cost was relatively prohibitive for figures that looked okay.

Meanwhile, the candy toys have never looked better. (For that matter, neither have the Sentai minipla.) The candy toy versions of the armor tend to look sleeker across-the-board than their LVUR counterparts, and at a fraction of the cost and shelf space. If I'd had the foresight (and option) to buy into them, I would've skipped LVUR entirely in favor of SO-DO, early access-be-damned.

I can imagine parents picking up the candy toys because they're a better, cheaper option (enabling their kid to go all-in on LVUR might'a been a hard sell, assuming the kid was even into Ex-Aid,) and for adult collectors, the math is really clear: the superior non-Figuarts line turned out to be SO-DO. I mean, on the strength of (what I've seen of) SO-DO, I'm planning to preorder all the Build candy toys... well, assuming I can land preorders.

Compared to Ghost and Drive candy toy action figure, I think Ex-Aid has more variations candy toy action figures. Ghost only has some of Heroic Parka Ghost in candy toy, Drive also only has some of Tire Koukan in candy toy version. But Ex-Aid candy toy figure has all Riders and equipments (support robot armor, energy item box, and Genm's pipe)

Maybe LVUR version of Poppy, Cronus, and Fuma will be released in Premium Bandai.

Hmm....Gaim has various candy toy action figure too.
