The comics are pretty good...
Meanwhile, anyone recommend playing Doctor Who Legacy? It seems pretty good, but I don't know whether its worth downloading. |

So you know before I was trying to work out what I would consider the quintessential Big Finish audio?
http://i.imgur.com/bxNbtpp.jpg I think I found my answer. |
Good choice... I've always wanted to listen to that one, but I can never find it and you have to be 18 to use the website...

Probably... If I can convince them that it's not a waste...

I'm ready for the next season. She's coming back, both she's are coming back actually. Though I still wish Jenna decided differently about returning. I know, she's not my favorite Companion. But that ending for her at the Christmas special was damned near perfect and they'll never have that moment again.

Interesting question to pose to you.
I was listening to the audio Persuasion today and it features the 7th Doctor at a point not long before his regeneration. At this stage in his life the Doctor has actively started seeking out trouble (essentially spying on the universe through the TARDIS' monitors), trying to do as much as he can before he regenerates because he feels his successor won't have the stomach to go to the lengths he does. Which I'd argue isn't necessarily true because the 8th Doctor is really being pushed to the edge in his stuff, but that's not the point... Anyway, also in the audio it's noted that UNIT have the 7th Doctor recorded as his "most dangerous incarnation", which I'd probably agree with. So with all this in mind, it got me wondering what the Time War would have been like if he'd still been around. The War Doctor was a different kind of Doctor for sure, but 7 really wasn't one for half measures. |

And if this doesn't make sense, it's been a year since I had to write any form of essay :lol |
Physical violence isn't necessary when both the Time Lords and Daleks were hoarding multiple time-altering weapons though :lol Like, he could have easily taken the Moment and manipulated either party into using it.

Well, at the weekend there was a Sci-Fi thingy in town and there was a Q and A with Terry Malloy and Sylvester McCoy! It was awesome listening to them talk :D
|
Looks like we have another female writer on board for this series. Interestingly enough, an Australian: Sarah Dollard.
Also, in her episode (#10) it looks like Rigsy from Flatline is making a return. Photos from episode filming: Capaldi is really rocking the Pertwee vibe with that coat. http://shuangxi-in-spring.com/Images/dw1.JPG http://shuangxi-in-spring.com/Images/dw2.JPG |
I liked Rigsy so it should be cool to see him again. More excited for him than Osgood at least :)

I missed that filming by about an hour :cry

Looks like Big Finish's abilities to use modern series keep getting better. This is about the only time you'll see me find something River related awesome.
http://i.imgur.com/kHkHzUF.jpg River and Churchill are also getting their own spinoff stories (Ironsides! :D). Oh, and this also looks EXTREMELY interesting. http://i.imgur.com/giyBUGR.jpg |
Nice! I'm quite happy to see more post-2005 stuff bleed over. I wonder what explanation they'll give for Eight forgetting River. Of all of them, though, the thought of Colin and the Judoon is making me giddy. I kind of wish we could get some later stories of the SJA kids and, perhaps, some Paternoster Gang. I know they aren't the most popular group but, at the very least, they usually leave me amused.
|
From what I gather, River's in the position where she has to help the Doctor but can't let him know who she is. So that should be interesting.
|
Ah! That could be interesting. I wonder if they'll still manage to squeeze in a 'Hello, Sweetie'. They do love to hammer that one into the ground.
|
... Whoever gave Big Finish the license for modern stuff, I love you :D
I'm up for anything with Eight, and River can only make it more interesting, and Six fighting Judoon I need to see. |
Oh, man, the Churchill ones sound darned interesting.

Edit: Not especially relevant, but there are some Who bits from around 2:25 - 4:28. (For the record, I have no real opinions on minions.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMfO12qOJoM |
Looks like this is happening:

... This game is going to be so expensive, isn't it. Better start saving.
|
Oh, yes, I will be buying the heck out of that game. I never knew how much I wanted to see the Doctor and Doc Brown together. :lol

Looks like there is something official coming at 10:30pm London time tonight, per the DW Twitter. That's, what, 15 minutes into the SDCC panel? Perhaps it's a series 9 trailer.
|
Arggh! I don't know why my phone freaks out when trying to edit existing posts! Sorry for the double!
It is a trailer! Yeeeeeeeessssssss! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVMUPZm04MA |
Looking good! :D
|
Can't wait :D
|
Between the LEGO trailer, season 9 teaser and now these SDCC has done good :D
