To go on a side note: http://i.imgur.com/rz7Z4gp.png IT'S BEAUTIFUL. I just learned that this exists. |
Damn, Digivolving Spirits isn't stopping anytime soon, is it? I can dig it.
First of all, I'm glad they took a step away from Adventure stuff, I feared this might've just been a revival of figures which existed already, but seeing them doing new stuff is great. Alphamon is fantastic, I want that one, since this is one of the rare times where I care equally about the Rookie and the Mega, I like Dorumon a lot. Diaboromon I'm not sure about yet, but I'm not opposed to getting that one either. Quote:
And I don't have any hardware to play the new ones either, sucks. |
Angewomon is also in development for the line.

Hot damn those guys are on fire. Let's hope this line actually does well, I'd hate to see it fade into some Premium Bandai exclusive bullcrap.
And while I'm not the biggest Metalgarurumon fan I have to say that figure looks great. So count me in for Wargremyon and Metalgarurumon at least, and then I see if I like them enough to buy more. |
Here is a side by side with the old toy for anyone thats interestred.

Seen that before, however, I wondered if this is photoshopped or if they really are the same scale, seeing them on display confirms it's the latter.
That makes the price a bit more realistic considering those guys are bigger than a Figuart for example. |

Supposedly Digimon Spirits is planning to cover ALL 8 of the original Adventure team. :D
The remaining six will be Rookie-to-Ultimate designs. |

Depends on how good they look of course. It would be cool if they continue with 02 afterward though, I thought the Digi-Egg gimmick toyline was fun too. |
Well, that answers my question from yesterday :lol
I'm down with the Ultimate/Perfect stages. They're more iconic in my eyes anyway. I'm rather excited to see more! |

I kind of want to see this animated eventually, give the Tyranomon-line a fitting Baby + Rookie form and then have it grow up alongside a Koromon and show the rivalry build up throughout their evolutions. |

also, the Digimon spirits toys are new molds and not retools of the originals they are all new molds for this line.
|
I got Greymon and Gomamon toys today. :)

This line is excellent. I love that they're doing Diablomon, and if I can spare the funds, I'll get him as well. I mean, I want them all (except Alphamon because I don't know ho that is) but damn they're pricey. |

I think you can even watch it subbed on YouTube no problem. |
Is it bad if I kinda want to cuddle with a Dorumon? It is a cute fluffy purple dragon.

now I am U.K raised and Born but I also grew up with both English dub and German dub. so I did want to have a thread to other fans that grew up with the German dub.
so i will be linking all clips and trailers for Tri. German Dub here. starting it off with the new Tri. version of Leb Deinen Traum which in English means Live your dream which was the German cover of Butter-Fly. next up cast for the German dub is all back minus Izzy voice actor. Tai: Florian Knorn (Flew in from Sweden!) Izzy: Christian Zeiger Matt: Robin Kahnmeyer Sora: Sonja Spuhl Mimi: GiulianaJakobei Kari: Marie-Luise Schramm TK: Nicolas Artajo Agumon/Greymon: Gerald Schaale Biyomo/Birdramon: DanielaReidies Palmon/Togemon: Gabriele Schramm-Phillip Joe: Marius Clarén Gabumon/Garurumon: Julien Hagégge Tentomon/Kabuterimon: Joachim Kaps Gatomon: Katrin Zimmermann Patamon/Angemon: Hans Hohlbein Gomamon: Rainer Fritzsche Narrator: Kim Hasper chapter 2 Trailer chapter 3 trailer |

The movie is basically about Digimon gaining the X-Antibody, hence why they look different.
As for the kids voice thing, no idea why. |

@Topic: I just pre-ordered the Digivolving Spirits WarGreymon. Price isn't too bad after the discount, almost the same as a Shinkocchou Seihou Figuart which is pretty good considering this figure is bigger, transforms and has die-cast parts. A lot less paint I'll imagine and no accessories of course, but I still think it's not a bad price in comparison. I'm rather excited for these now, bring on MetalGarurumon!
Also, I've seen that there's a clear plastic version of this WarGreymon sold through Premium Bandai together with a stand and a clear orange Digivice. I don't really care about the clear plastic figure, it looks neat but the nature of the plastic gives away too many hidden parts for my liking, and the stand is okay, but the Digivice is really cool. Not cool enough for me to go through the hassle of obtaining the set and selling away the stuff I don't want, but seeing the set made me think: When was the last time they sold Digivices at stores? I've seen the CSM version with the flashy lights and sounds, and now these, is this just a niche item in this day and age? I would like to have a basic Digivice for my display but I'm not paying a middleman for this kinda stuff. Quote:
No biggie if you don't like it, but this is the movie to watch if you want to know who Alphamon is. I mean it appears in tri as well but I have no idea why. Probably only so they can have that one fight scene with Omnimon (Omegamon). Also, it is rather hard to get into I imagine, Digimon X was never a big thing in the mainstream from what I know and the animation looks outdated at this point. I just find it interetsing because I dig the idea of the X Evolutions and that this story is selfcontained within the Digital World, no humans involved here. At least not directly. |
I think what confused me is that I just expect the digimon's voices to change like in the American dub. Though IIRC Tamers in America also had the voice actors stay the same throughout forms. (Albeit maybe with some kind of slight deepening to their voice)
So seeing big, tough, overdesigned Wargreymon speak in such an ill-fitting voice was super odd to me. (Also, again because I know very little of Digimon, how can he and Omnimon be separate? Did another Agumon eventually digivolve with another Gabumon?) |

the japanese dub for adventure and German dub stayed true to that adventure English dub did not. but at the same time tamer was the first i belive that sticked true to the same actor voicing all form.in the english dub

I remember Dukemon's voice did not change that much from his Guilmon voice in both the English and Japanese version of the show.

Just realized the Japanese voice for Digimon Frontier's Koji and Kyuranger's Commander Dumplings/Ryu Commander are both by Hiroshi Kamiya.

Back to thread topic, seems like that Digimon Tri stage show with Aoninger has a etemon. |
Nothing new but I've just seen the Digivolving Spirits MetalGarurumon on display at Tokyo Toy Show and noted again how great this one looks. Like, the only flaws I can find are the obvious off-shaped wings and missile launchers since they transform out of Gabumon-parts and the hind legs seem to lack the red lights but otherwise... damn this looks fantastic.
Okay, maybe the flat yellow is a minus too but it needs to be this way for Gabumon to work. I'm still loving this a lot though, for a transforming toy this looks all kinds of awesome. http://i.imgur.com/3w2Nv01.jpg |
