The crucial difference could be that Kaito was hurt by an Overlord Inves, not a regular one. The Overlords were genetically altered by their king to adapt to the forest. Maybe Kaito somehow got that.
Haven’t we had someone claiming Baron and Gaim fight in the final episode, showing pics? Baron was in normal Arms there, not an Overlord. Maybe Kaito becomes an Overlord, although it is what he wished for. Seeing as how he values strength and evolution to a higher state, I find it fitting for him to become an Overlord. In the end he could be restored when Kouta "heals" the world and both fight a fair and square battle in the last episode. I could even see a "you don’t know who wins"-ending happening, when we see Kouta meeting Kaito, both talk and transform and as they storm against each other the series ends. I know a lot of people who would hate this kind of ending, but I wouldn’t mind. |
I have a feeling that Kouta is going to pull a Madoka by gaining the power of Helheim and removing the invasion of the forest with his power but in turn he has to stay there to keep everything in check. But the only difference is that everybody will actually still remember Kouta's sacrifice and not just one person. but that's just my theory. :lol

Here's my own prediction of the end (see: wrong).
Kouta obtains the power of the Golden Fruit which allows him the ability to more or less shape reality. All of his friends are dead - Takatora (killed by Micchy), Micchy (killed by Kouta), Hase (killed by Sigurd), Zack, Jonouchi, Oren, and Minato (killed by Micchy), Ryouma (killed by Roshuo), and Kaito (kills himself in a sacrifice to save Kouta after his infection takes over). The only survivors are Kouta and Mai (who now possesses the Golden Fruit inside of her). Kouta can continue life as normal and live with Mai forever - or they can both sacrifice themselves and turn back the clock, eliminating everything from ever happening. Mai will profess that she will cease to exist because she is the Golden Fruit, but it is Kouta who gets to make the decision. He does. Reality fades out to black and then back to white. We are taken back to the start of Gaim, but there are differences - Yggdrasill doesn't exist. The shrine and the tree are there, never taken down. Mai is a priestess at the church and meets Kaito and Yuuya, and there's an obvious three way romantic fight. Because there's no Yggdrasill, Micchy and his brother Takatora are together as a dance team. Oren is still baking things, Jonouchi and Hase are hanging out again, Sid is a street merchant selling Oren's baked goods, Ryouma is a conservation scientist with Minato being a teacher (I dunno). Mai and Kaito sit down to have lunch together and they pull out an orange and cut it open. As Mai goes to eat it she looks at it and her memory is triggered for an instant - a quick flash of everything with Kouta, to the point she whispers the name Kouta as she has a quick realization that Kouta made sure she survived even as the Golden Fruit resided in her. But as quickly as she remembers the memories are gone. Flash forward back to Kouta. He is still alive in Helheim forest, but he is very weak. He falls to his knees and his body begins to fade away. His final words are about using his power to protect everyone as he fades away to nothing. A zipper opens and we're taken to a black screen. THE END. |

The first 2 paragraph sounds exactly like Madoka MAgica to me :lol |

Well, from what we saw at the Tokusatsu Network with tweets from the actors, it would appear that Kaito, Micchy, and Mai are at least there for the final day of shooting (as is Bando's assistant).

I know exactly how this'll end.
At the end of the series it will be revealed that Helheim is, in actuality, what is left of Zawame City after decades of the invasion. The Overlord King Rushou (I can't spell) is Kouta, his queen is Mai, that female Overlord is Minato, and Reduye was Kaito. And the cracks? Cracks in time. |

The history of Helheim is pretty much this:
- The forest grows in to other dimensions - The ruler of the current dimension eventually must give the Golden Fruit of Knowledge to a new ruler of the dimension that the forest has "invaded" - That ruler then has the choice to make - save himself and let his world be destroyed, or sacrifice himself to let the world be saved. Apparently no Overlord has ever chosen their world over themselves, though Roshuo seems to have some regret at his "queen" dying as he took over Helheim It's like a cycle of destruction. The forest expands and each time it expands a world is lost in the process because the chosen one of the forest always chooses themselves over the worlds they live in. Kouta is choosing the world over himself. This will, in essence, end the cycle of destruction and eliminate like ... everything. |

Some how I can see this happening along with parts of Kickback's theory too. I definitely feel a Madoka-like ending for the series. Kouta sacrificing himself like Madoka did is definitely in his character. |
I'm sure the story will end by having Kouta save the world but end up destroying Helheim. And if Urobutcher is feeling like it, the last few minutes of the finale could show Kouta rather than just disappearing, slowly starve to death since Helheim is gone and he can no longer eat human food while his friends desperately look for a way to save him but fails in the end. Then again, he's probably not allowed to do this....right?

If I read what Over-Time posted on their site correctly, Gaim will not be preempted for TV Asahi in August. The preemption is only for the Kansai area. So no interruptions to Gaim!!!

My theory on how Gaim end:
on Eps. 41 we'll witnessing Roshou vs Kouta fight, I had this crazy thought that Roshou might using his "windy-hand-abilty-thingy" (just like he did to Sid and his belt) to wipe out another Rider's belt, in this case Minato's, Zack's and Kaito's Genesis driver. For some reason, Kouta's belt is still intact, but his lockseed was destroyed (see what happen to Kachidoki lockseed?), hence why Kouta shouted "I'll save everyone". As for Bravo and Gridon, they might witness their end by the hand of Bicchy. I don't have any idea on Ryoma's fate, but may be Redyue will interrupt his research and yadda yadda on his computer, kill him, and then Redyue use Ryoma's research to make LS-Yomi. Kouta gain victory over Roshou, but Roshou already put his Forbidden Fruit into Mai's body. Saddened by this news, Micchy grew alot more hatred toward Overlord, suddenly Redyue decided to gave Micchy her newly made LS-Yomi, but Micchy trick her, and killing her instead in Ryugen Yomi form. For some reason Kaito's scar worsen, he became the last known Overlord, grew feral, and want to make Forbidden Fruit as his own. Mai become the center of everything, Kouta want to protect her as it is, Micchy wants to just save her and throws the Forbidden Fruits away by killing everyone who were in his way and we have this Overlord Kaito who seek only the true power of the Forbidden Fruit, and he doesnt really care about Mai's fate afterward. Kouta fight with Micchy, Kouta gain his victory, but he explain and harken everything back to where it started, remembering their beat rider day etc, lightened micchy heart, Micchy started feeling guilty about everything, but unfortunately, it's too late, LS-Yomi limited use of time reacts, killing Micchy in the process, Micchy started to dissappear as everybody cry. Then there's Kaito, who grew even more feral and remembered nothing of his past. There's no avoiding that Kouta must faces Kaito. And then we have this climatic final battle, Gaim vs Baron. Kaito transform to Baron (using his still intact Sengoku Driver),vice versa for Kouta. They battling throught. Until they reach their strongest form, Kiwami and Overlord Baron. Unfortunately, Kaito gain his victory. He started to reach Mai, but suddenly his previous memory started to appear, he can't stand it, he's struggling. "There's no other way, but to end this, by sacrificing myself" (said Kouta), for some reason Kouta extracted the Forbidden Fruit from Mai's Body, use it's power, put everything back to where it is, ressurecting everybody including Yuya, Takatora, Micchy etc (except Ryoma and Sid), healing Kaito's scar in the process, put him into normal again. Yggdrasil was gone, and the lockseed. Everybody was there, Kouta smiled, everybody smiled back to Kouta, cried and said thank you to him, the gang started rush and reach Kouta, but unfortunately crack started to appear, closing Kouta presence in it, Kouta was left in Helheim, alone. On the other side, everybody cried and thankful at same time, everybody knew that he's "out there" now, and always remember him. |
Actually looks pretty cool for a villain Rider

It looks like an excellent custom, but a custom none the less. It's way too soon after that forms reveal to see a figure take shape. Yes there's an AC on the way but SHF's have longer production cycles so if we see a real one it'll be several more months out.

42. Mitsuzane! The Last Transform! 43. Baron The Ultimate Transform |
So either Kaito is getting a final form similar to Micchy's or he's turning overlord.
|
OR The final villain will be HELHEIM ITSELF! and the forest will form into a giant Lovecraftian Horror, and it's brain/consciousness will be Sagara because magic!
|
I get the feeling that the "final villain" will either be one of the the "main three" (Kouta, Kaito, Micchy) as Overlords or corrupted by the Golden Fruit, or possibly Duke (I dunno, it seems like he might screw them over in the end and take the Golden Fruit for himself).
The former seems more likely, and I could see Micchy fighting Kouta by turning into an Overlord with the Golden Fruit and having Kouta finally go full Overlord and duke it out as Kaijin like Ankh and Eiji briefly did back in OOO before Kouta turns back into Gaim to finish the job or something along those lines. |
So new rider apparently, maybe, who the heck knows?
