Haven't noticed any yellowing on mine and have had it since release. Also haven't experienced any breakages but I do agree that the wrist pegs are a bit thin. The figures themselves are pretty stable, I don't think any of mine have loose joints and they hold poses pretty well. Then again, mine have mostly been on display so i don't fiddle with them very much at all besides doing some photos of them when I first got them. lol.

Gonna bump this because I'm desperate to see how they stack up. Perhaps more importantly -- if anyone has Den-O liner and the other Den-O SHFs, is Liner better than them in a similar way to Agito Burning due to its being released much later? From photos it seems much better proportioned, about on Fourze's level. I do want a Liner Form but I'd also like to not get too many Seihous down the line...

Other than maybe Showa characters, I don't think I'll ever pick up another more SS now that the figure-rise kits are coming out. People have done some incredible things with the Hibiki kit. Of course if they make Showa FRS... that's another story.

I'm looking specifically for comparisons of Den-O Liner to see how he holds up (if at all). Eventually I want a Den-O display of Sword Form, Liner Form, (Chou) Climax Form and New Den-O. I have the FRS of Sword Form and am planning to get the eventual Seihous of Climax and New, but I'd prefer not to get too many Seihous if I can avoid it (because expensive), so that's why I'm looking into the original SHF Liner Form and why I'm wanting comparisons of it with FRSes and Seihous.

I know of course that its quality won't even be remotely comparable to what a renewal will do, but I can happily be satisfied with a certain level of older SHFs - I'm very happy with Fourze, Meteor and the two Births, for instance - but from what I've handled of the Zeronos SHF... I don't like the old Den-O mold at all. But Den-O Liner seems to be a slightly different and better mold proportionally.

I'm gonna go on a quick rant just to get this off my chest, but I have every reason to believe that the Gaim Figuarts was the pinnacle of the SHF line before things started going downhill (not in quality, mind you, the quality's gone up a bit).

Let's see why:
-Good proportions
-Great articulation
-Decent to amazing range of accessories
-Riders actually come with their own appropriate weapons and accessories (looking at you Build line and beyond)
-Main Rider's upgrade and final forms were regular releases
-Reasonable prices (yeah yeah I know inflation but come on, SHF Saber like around 4000 yen while Blades is around 6000?!?)
-Cheap on the aftermarket (SHF Zangestu Kachidoki's like 4000 yen or something on Mandarake)
-Regular release bike
-Tertiary Riders was not P-Bandai

So why do I say it's the pinnacle of SHFs? It's because they struck a good balance between quality and price. Before Gaim, Figuarts were cheaper yes, but had strange wonky proportions (It started to get better after SHF Wizard Infinity). After Gaim, the quality and paint app definitely became better, but due to inflation the prices rose up, which is understandable to a degree but then Bandai pulled their whole "weapons with P-Bandai bike" shtick. Thankfully they're no longer pulling that off ever since Zero-One but now they're making you buy another figure if you want weapons. Of course, not every release does this but it is still frustrating nonetheless.

Additionally, Gaim's belts were actually detailed. Thank goodness Drive continued hving good belts and Ghost had appropriate details despite the Eyecon being built into the Driver and was thus non-removable, but it all started going downhill from Ex-Aid onwards. I can forgive the half-Gashats for stability issues, but blank Gashats, Ridewatches, Progrise Keys and Wonder Ride Books is where I put my foot down. Bandai, are you kidding me?!? Would it not kill you to put at least some effort into those? I'd gladly pay like 20 or 40 extra yen just to have those details printed on! If Gaim was the pinnacle of SHF, then I'd say Zi-O was a big dip (second only to Ghost), not because of the quality of the figure (although I'll admit there were some issues with necks) but because of all the lack of detailing and weaponry they pulled that year. Woz got out lucky when they included his weapon with him. Still does not excuse the lack of print on his Miridewatches though.

So in essence, I believe that Gaim was the pinnacle of the SHF. It exudes quality, just like the show itself (I suppose I could say something similar to Ghost Figuarts and its show having similar quality) and struck a fair balance between price, accessories and proportions. I suppose one can also consider Drive as a pinnacle of SHF, but let us not forget that little "Tire Koukan" campaign shtick they pulled, shall we?

Bandai, if you're reading this, there are three things I want you to know:
1.) Please give each release fair accessories instead of this "buy another to get this thing" stuff.
2.) Please put detail onto the belts. I'll gladly give you 20 extra yen if you do so.
3.) Please give me SHF Mars and Kamuro.

Accessories, detail, and variety I'll give you. but everything else has improved since then. Especially proportions.

And I'm sorry, slightly limited articulation aside, the Ghost Figuarts are fine. Solid proportions, decent enough articulation aside from the torso, and good accessories.

Oh yes proportions have definitely become better. The prices on the other hand have become increasingly outrageous, especially the P-Bandai ones.

And that's kind of the main thing here -- Gashat's talking value for what you get, and I can't really say I disagree with them. My SHF RabbitRabbit and Seihou OOO, for instance, are far ahead of anything that could be produced during those years; but looking at how much I paid for Fourze, how good he is and how much he comes with? It's difficult to not see some of these earlier SHFs as a better deal. I've said it before -- I'd happily see some SHFs return to the quality of the likes of Gaim if it meant more accessories, lower prices and more at retail.

That last point by the by is something I think you missed, Gashat -- though you did touch on it. Not just the bike, not just the four main riders; but even Kachidoki and Kiwami were retail. Now Gaim is still where we started to see a large influx of P-Bandai stuff - mostly because Gaim is also where we started seeing a large influx of suits - but looking at what was at retail it was very reasonable, especially compared to today.

Huh. I don't recall Saber and Blades combined costing you 10,000 yen. I got both for 80$.

Gaim was indeed the best value in SHF, but it's also probably what ultimately scared Bandai from deciding what is retail and what becomes webshop. The retails were the four main guys, and two of Gaim's forms. Now, it may just be because of time, but four out of six of those figures are still widely available, many of the other riders in the P-Bandai shop are also going for cheap.

Bandai saw that as probably a bad thing and got scared. Evident with Drive when Tridoron, Formula, and KR Chaser were P-Bandai when I would've thought at least two out of those three had a right in being retail. Ghost (mostly Necrom) got the shortest end of the stick.

Build to Zero-One were the worst, obviously. Now, I shudder at the thought of Espada being P-Bandai (which he totally is) and the rest of SOL.

The funny thing about that is while Chaser, Necrom and Tridoron should definitely have been retail... there was still a surprising amount that was retail. Ghost had Toucon Boost and its bike, while Drive had Mashin Chaser, both bikes, Mach, Type: Wild and Drive Dead Heat. The last two in particular are seriously stuff I would have expected to be Premium Bandai easily!

I feel like Bandai is slowly trying to make all of their SHFs, Rider and otherwise, into P-Bandai or Webshop only. Which I mean, if they're gonna do that, then they need to start doing reissues more often. Which, granted, they kinda have been. Seihou OOO Tatoba got reissued twice in relatively quick succession, afterall(even though he was retail).

I feel like TaToBa is an exception since it's kinda necessary for him to be widely available what with the interchangeability of the line. But I'm probably talking out of my ass.

Rising Hopper has been kinda reissued twice now too. He was reissued fairly quickly after the first release and now Realizing Hopper.

Saber has an entryway drug pricing they do every year with the new main Rider and Ultra since Build I think, that's nothing new.

So Saber is artificially sold at a lower price, Blades has a regular one.

Rising Hopper has never been reissued.

That's weird. What's with the "Revival Version" listing that HLJ had.

I can’t find this "Revival Version" on AmiAmi, and most importantly Tamashii doesn't list Rising Hopper as a re-release on their website. Every item they reissue gets a special stamp on the item page and every release date, reissues included, is listed.

While Gaim was and still is absolutely the best bang for your buck, it is far from the pinnacle of SHF.

I don't collect SHF anymore, but I'm glad such high quality figures are now available at the 1/12 scale. Honestly, the thought of modern SHF Kamen Rider figures being at the quality of the older stuff makes me shudder. I'm genuinely glad we now have figures that actually look like there are suit actors underneath them.

These figures become so fucking cheap on the aftermarket, that I can't blame them for transitioning towards making almost everything a web exclusive. It hurts the wallet quite a bit as a collector, but it just makes more sense.

Premium Bandai isn't inherently bad; it's the rate of reissues, which they've been working on.

I suppose something else I miss from old Figuarts were fun accessories. I understand that we're never gonna go back to the time when frequent releases included fun little extras (like Fourze's Foordroids or the old Beast's mayonnaise bottle or Bravo's little wine glass) but I suppose I'm happy that at least some recent releases still include those little extras (like Cronus' extra Gamer Driver of Genm Lvl 0's level bar).

I don't know, I'm just ranting at this point. Makes me feel like a miserly old man yelling at the clouds even though I jumped on the toku bandwagon when Ex-Aid was airing; long after the extra accessories were cut out.

You do have a point, though. There is absolutely no reason we should have blank drivers/trinkets nowadays. It's bizarre that SO-DO, the candy toy line, are the only action figures that detail them; albeit with stickers. Nowadays, it does feel more like you're paying for the mold, rather than the accessories.

I actually loved the Lockseeds in the Gaim line. It almost felt like I was collecting the DX merch, albeit at a 1/12 scale.

Tamashii Nations put out teaser images for SHFs of Alpha Edge, Sevenger, Juggler with the Dark Z-Riser, Geed Galaxy Rising, and cloaked Zero. And I think the other one is Ultroid Zero or base Z?

Color me interested on Juggler tho.

I thibk the problem with Rider SHFs being stingy is because Tamashii stetches themselves thin, and has access to Marvel and Star Wars properties (DBZ too) , and it became their focus because that one garners more money compared to Rider. Hell take a look at SHF subreddit. Most of the discussions there are about DBZ SHFs.

At this rate Rider was only made because they were the one who started it.

I'm willing to bet licenses that's not Rider or DBZ as being their focus is untrue. I've seen people have much more gripes towards the QC of Marvel and Starwars figuarts than it is on DBZ and Rider. It's pretty telling in the way how the face-printed heads are handled too. SHFSS Ankh and Ixa's Takeda head look pretty good in the promo pics and Ankh has facial expressions too. The Marvel figures (especially the new Tony Stark one) have been very dodgy and only comes with a "looking to the side" head.

P-Bandai isn't inherently bad, I just wish the means to access it was better. Something like a dedicated distributor to more countries (Like Bluefin but not USA-only).

Hmmm...Rider-wise I'll make my predictions/hopes:

Saber: Buster, Espada and Caliber at the very minimum. That plus Kenzan and Slash at the max but I doubt we'll see those two right now.

Zero One: Ark-Zero I'm sure. Considering we have the main riders out. Would also like to see Ikazuchi and Naki at least just so MetsubouJinrai is fully-repped. Zero-Two would also be awesome but not expected.

Black: We already know we'll see SS Black. Would love at least a tease of RX since we know ShadowMoon is most likely planned but not in the proto stage yet.

Den-O: Rod/Axe Form and we'll probably learn if it'll be single set release only or if they'll offer both the figure set and an optional armor-only set...It's a pipe dream for sure, but I'd love it if they offered that. Also Zeronos will probably be a good possibility.

OOO: PuToTyra and SaGoZou for sure since they're our missing forms. I expect the latter more than the former if anything. Also Birth. Please Birth.

Kiva: Dark Kiva again, Emperor Kiva and Saga are reasonable expectations.
