I already ate my words by episode 8 :lol what a great episode!
Miu has been kinda...there up until now but the fact that she jumped in the Power Dizer and saved Gen in it increased my respect for her tenfold. Same with Shun, although I don't agree with his reactions, I can perfectly relate to his problems. In many senses, I think that may be why I still love high school settings so much, I may be an adult but I haven't started a career yet, I don't have kids and I'm not married so I can relate to the lives and problems of characters in high school settings better than I can others. And yes things like trying to get out of your Dad's shadow and living up to their expectations may feel like a first world problem and something not worth building a character around but to me that character feels more tangible to me then when I'm trying to bond with a character who say...has come back from the war and is dealing with survivors guilt. Sure that makes for a better story but how many of us can really truly understand what they are going through? |
All this talk of Fourze is really making me want to watch it again, however I know that if I do I'll have even more disdain for Wizard.
After all, Shun is still the main reason I hate Haruto :lolol |
So far I've really enjoyed this series despite a lot of haters for it in the thread, I'm enjoying it a lot more than OOO which I am watching alongside it.

Well, that and Yuuki's rapid descent into total madness. |

Meanwhile I checked out OOO episode four and it's just not clicking for me. Fourze really stands out to me because of its sci-fi focus, rather than fantasy, and the choice to set it in a high school. OOO just feels a lot like Wizard and both OOO and Wizard feel like quirkier, jokier versions of Kuuga. I'm gonna keep going for a bit, to see if the relationship between Eiji and Ankh smooths out because if that relaxed and stopped feeling so forced I'm sure my enjoyment will improve. I'm also intrigued to learn more about how all this medal stuff works as welll. Speaking of Fourze, I'm really enjoying seeing the command centre take shape and feel like a home. Plus I love episode nine's new switch 'Gatling', he had a gatling gun...on his leg...awesome! Plus Fire States is much cooler looking than the electric one. |
Amazon 15 and I'm beginning to worry if I'm about to lose interest in this show. Replacing the villain cast after 14 episodes seems a bit much in a 24 episode series, and this new bunch seem a lot more like generic Showa villains (with stupid looking henchmen). Amazon himself has gotten more generic now that he can seemingly talk properly too, which brings me on to my next question - if he's learnt to talk during the course of his series, why have we gone back to the broken speech version for the Legendary 7 appearances? Was he more popular like that?
Still, I'll persevere with the show and begin campaigning we get a Mole beastman figuart one day. ChuuChuu! |
I think Amazon returns to the more limited speech because that's how he's more recognizable.

I just thought it wouldn't be up your alley, but I loved Fourze! |

Back to Den-O today--I'm in the mid-20's--Sieg and Zeronos have both shown up, they're pretty cool. Nice to use this show as a palate cleanser between the "heavier" Rider shows I've been watching recently.
I did love Deneb's "Let me say this: . . .I have nothing to say." :) |
