I think you need to look up what an oxymoron is, because I don't think it means what you think it does.

Also when I compared it to SICs I was only comparing just in quality and articulation. Obviously I wasn't comparring accuracy, that'd be silly.

How is that my fault when all everybody talks about is how amazing Figuarts are, and when I get the two of my favourite charatcers, expecting these great representations, I get one with a nowhere near close headsculpt and squeaky joints that feel like they're going to twist off, and one who's legs constantly fall off.

I'm just expecting my dissapointement because two pieces I was super excited for turned out to be (in the case of W more than Sieg) toys I'm never going to touch. It really sucks when you basically flush $30 down the toilet because the toy doesn't even achieve the basics of being a toy.

Also, if you had actually read the majority of what I've said instead of jumping to rash assumptions of what I think, then you'd know that I'm not basing my opinion of the line overall off of the two I own. In fact I've explicitly stated my next Figuarts purchase is going to be Ryuki, since it's a newer release that's more likely to accurately represent the line so I'm told. (even though I don't know anythign of Ryuki)

But Den-O and onwards they're excellent. Plus the line is older than Figuarts and, IIRC, the Den-O SIC's came out back in 2007, and I don't think Figuarts even dates back quite that far? Though I may be mistaken.

Because there's problems with them. Problems other toys at the same size and price don't have.

I simply state that I'm unsatisfied with the two figures I won and that it doesn't make enthusiastic for the line overall, even though I say I'm still going to collect it, and I get dog-piled by people saying "you can't judge a line by two figures." Jeez, it's the "the show gets better after twenty episodes" arguement reborn.

Well, to be fair, a lot of the early SICs were trash. Very much "Display, don't touch" having articulation but poor stability and even worse construction.
I'm not sure when Figuarts date back (I think '08? Maybe '09?), but SIC has had more time to make and perfect their figures.

But, aren't they both made by Bandai?

I've read everything you said, absolutely all of it. But your statements are based on outdated facts. You own 2 poorly made figures from a point in the line where standards weren't as high and you act as though it's a bad line that doesn't deserve the fanfare it gets. So yes expecting them to "work" perfectly is expecting too much. You can say you'll buy a new figure and I welcome you to do so. But just based on the facts your giving us you have standards that are way to high for this type of figure. Ryuki and all of his derivatives are excellent though.

And while SIC figures are nice but they also have QC issues and design flaws. Just like any other toyline. Like the wings on my SIC TaJaDor that won't stay plugged in at all. OR the loose ankles on SIC TaToBa that make it completely necessary for him to use a tamashii stage. And those are new releases. Look at SIC's from 5 or 6 years ago and you see a significant quality drop. SIC isn't perfect either man. Take the good and the bad, every figure can't possibly be just as good as every other figure.

No. That's why the introduced new hips several years ago, and new shoulders for better or worse recently for certain figures. SHF's have evolved as well. They're definitely better than when they started. But when they started they were literally the best thing going for 6" scale riders. That's why they did so well. The high sales at that time when people were fine with the quality is what drove the line to be the powerhouse that it is today.

I'm just saying how it felt to me that when I got into this line, hearing all these great things about it, and the first figure I got was meh and the second figure I got has weird quality issues. I never said it doesn't deserve the praise it gets, just that it stinks that I happen to get the worst figures of the line first. You and everyone else have completely overblown the simplest of reactions into, what, that I'm trying to, like, slander Figaurts' good name or something?

This is outrageous. Expecting the figure to not fall apart in my hands is too much?

Okay, that has nothing to do with anything I said though.

Again, look at what has actually happened here. I said I was dissapointed in the figures I got. I never said anything about Figuarts as a whole, only referenced their popularity. Not once did I ever say, ever even come so close as to imply, that the line overall was somehow underserving. I merely lamented that the figures I own were not good compared to what I've heard, and every single person has agreed with me on that. So I'm not even sure what you're talking about or what the problem even is. I'm not saying Figuarts is bad overall, I never even implied that, and if you think I did, well sorry but you are wrong.

I still don't see what you didn't like about him. I remember your initial reaction when getting it. My only real complaint is that the seams on the knee joints could be smoother.

It's the joints, man. If they hadn't gotten so bad I'd probably still be okay with him. I've barely handled him, too. In the one day I've own Sieg I've likely posed him more than W and yet W's joints are loosening and squeaking more and more.

That's a shame. I guess that was just bad luck then. The only real figuarts QC issue I've had is SaGoZo's right arm being loose.

That's why Sieg's legs bug me. If they're loose and like to fall off now, what happens as time goes on?

Pose him on his hands and call it a variant.
