Sorry meant mkv. Neither work in quicktime so I have to watch them on VLC, which is not as good a player.

Ugh, I'll take VLC over Quicktime anyday. In fact I'll take many players over Quicktime. That said, there's a lot worse. To each their own.

I'm on a mac so maybe that's why quicktime works better for me. You can watch multiple videos at once(not that that's really necessary for toku) and you can advance frame by frame. Whereas VLC, half the time when I start it up it spends 5 minutes loading fonts(?!).

Get MPlayerX. That's what I use to watch Over-Time's subs and it does a much, much better job of handling mkv format than VLC.

I'm going to try TV-Nihon for Wizard and see how I like it. I used to watch TV-Nihon, but their slow release of shows in general plus their handling of Gokaiger put me off.

I second MPlayerX. It's without doubt the best video player I've used on the Mac. Handles the majority of your video files.

This isn't me arguing your opinion but what was wrong with their Gokaiger sub? I tried both theirs and OT's throughout the run but in the end thought the TVN one came out stronger.

Actually it was more to the technical side of things, such as their encodes, which weren't as good quality or how they handled that episode during the earthquake disaster (when the video was spliced rather poorly). I'm not sure if they improved towards the end, because I started going with Over-Time right around Gokai Silver's introduction.

Content-wise, it's generally okay.

I guess I wasn't being thorough enough in my post. It was a limited perception based on the little I've seen on their Gokaiger subs. I don't hate them, I just wasn't patient enough, I guess.

Must we pick between the two?

I don't like either one.
