You people are crazy. I personally love what saban has done with roboknight. My only experience with gosei knight is the goseiger/gokaiger movie, and i thought he was a wuss. I think roboknight is a perfectly good replacement.

I wasn't necessarily saying Gosei Knight was a robot (though that's the impression I got with the whole reprogramming/ability to become a header thing), I was just saying that the clear deep voice doesn't strike me very much as fitting to what Robo Knight is supposed to be. If you're locking "better" to "as close as possible to the original Sentai", then you want to watch Goseiger, not Megaforce.

I also think another reason they changed him to a robot is that he is a header,basically a mystical force from "heaven".With them being a big name like Power Rangers,it would cause some uproar with certain audiences if they went that route.I for one don't mind,but others would consider it as "shoving religion down the viewers throat".So they kept it simple,robot it is.

I don't mind it being a robotic voice,I don't even mind the walking noise.What I'm concerned about is the later episodes.How is he supposed to show emotion in the fact that he starts to like humans more? Also is it me or does the voice just sound a little too high pitched? Not like insanely high pitched,but just enough to question his attitude as the heartless badass of the group.

I was. As soon as I heard the robot walking noises and the voice, I instantly knew that Sentai was going to get upset over this.

To be honest...he has every right to be sad. While Megaforce may be a step up in the acting department (a very small step, mind you), the chance to use Megaforce cards instead of Goseiger cards, the chance to use a completely new theme song instead of rehashing the Samurai theme, and the chance to have Robo Knight be just as badass as Gosei Knight was, Saban got them all wrong. And with Super Megaforce just having the Goseiger suits become the Gokaiger suits and then morph into previous teams of Rangers from there, this season doesn't give me much hope for future Sentai series that Power Rangers will adapt.

The only reason I'm still going to watch Megaforce is because I'm holding out hope that it will get better, but now I'm starting to doubt it.

No doubt. But it's not like he wasn't going to be a toy anyway. It'd be weird to explain him able to change like that when most humans not currently employed with a circus can change and bend their shape like that.

Robots, they transform. There's a whole franchise based on the idea :D So it makes sense to have a robot that transforms as... a robot.

Off one clip? He could still very well be a badass. Last I checked, Robocop was also badass.

On the religious motifs of Goseiger, we dropped that. The mecha became robots. And the living mecha of GoseiKnight followed suit.
What? Animus was a mecha god? Yeah, and he was made of five animals. He was a conglomerate. And that's a sidestep. If Headders are now Zords that are no more than machines that look like animals, than a Headder that takes a humanoid form should follow suit.

The robotic noises I'm used to. Just watch enough episodes of Transformers (any Transformers) and robotic whirring becomes an easily ignorable noise.

And the voice... Well, it's just delivery of a few words. If he had a deeper booming voice that screamed "I'm powerfull" he'd sound too much like Koragg, IMO.

Plus it could always be worse.

I even see Megaforce as MMPR Seasons 1-3 and Samurai as Mighty Morphin' Alien Rangers. It helps allieviate rage over Samurai.

Again, trying to hold out hope that this show gets better. From what we've seen so far, I fail to see how.

I've like almost nothing about Megaforce so far, and was utterly terrified of what they'd do to Gosei Knight when bringing him over, but this isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

His voice COULD have been Doggie Kruger 2, but it's not. He sounds like a cool robot, which is what he's supposed to be.

Now here's the thing I don't get...it seems like if they keep too much the same, people are upset and if they change something people like, people are upset. Yeah, Gosei Knight is the freaking man (freaking headder?) but this is by far not as bad as I thought it would be.


Of course this is coming from the guy who thinks Power Rangers would be better off making In Space every year (meaning a totally different show, can have a real story and the youngest kids stay for the cool action and toys), but hey. Who knows? I'm not trying to place blame here, but am I wrong that Sentai is upset that he's different from Gosei Knight? I mean, I get it that you'd hope he'd be exactly the same as Gosei Knight because almost everything else is the same, but is this really THAT bad?

You know, I like this voice because I think it fits perfectly fine in a Blue Senturion kind of way, but that's a nice peek too :p
