But either way I still can't understand why people seem to ignore that Lily and TJ are support Rangers just so they can whine about something. I guess people HAVE to bitch about something on the internet. :rolleyes And if they really think Jen and Carter are immature enough to fight over leadership then they clearly haven't watched their respective seasons. Which honestly wouldn't surprise me. |

At the beginning of LSR, Carter bristled hard against taking criticism of his decisions, and you'll remember had an angry confrontation with Captain Mitchell over having one of his commands overruled during a fight. Similarly, Jen was a pushy, bossy, demanding leader who "lead" primarily through barking orders at her subordinates. Over the course of each show, both characters evolve into substantially better leaders. Carter starts seeing the "big picture" of his mission, and Jen becomes more invested in her team. The two of them on one team at this point in their fictional lives would be an interesting dynamic for sure, though they still don't really fit with their Gokaiger counterparts (Carter as brash and cocky? Jen as demure and reserved? HA!) |

My statement was just food for thought about Carter and Jen. As this "fantasy" team comes together, how they will interact with one another gets more intriguing. Look at this round, for instance. If Damon made it through, you get a pragmatist, a guy who looks to solve the current problem in the most logical and feasible method. How does that fit in with the other characters' mindsets? If Tommy makes it through, how does this "living legend" react to being "one of the team," and how do the others react to him? The different options make for interesting lines of thinking and speculation. |

What I am trying to say is there seems like the same sort of characters, not a good group of different characters. The type of characters these are, are leader types, I don't see what all of them together would bring to the team.

Just because the we don't have a mechanic or a book smart character doesn't mean the team is imbalanced.
Leadership isn't a sole character trait, and even then, it's often one of the most desired, even if there's already a designated leader. We don't need one leader and a legion of characters bowing down to said leader. |
Sorry guys, had something unexpected pop up this afternoon.
Tommy moves on. |
