Ignoring the Roid-Rage Power Rangers, and the Stubby Bloated Ranger Keys, this line actually looks pretty damned good.
|
And on the toy sales, the latest article said PR made $80 million in revenue in 2012, and half that in 2011.

I knew Id like this thing after I got a mobirates! :p |
4" figures: BOUGHT! Now to go find a Queen Anne's Revenge to add space jets too.
Legendary Morpher: I still want a demo of the lights and sounds, but tentative yes. Ranger Keys: Dependent on morpher. Really hoping they would have a Ranger Key in a blind bag on display. That's what I want. GokaiRed and the Masters of the Universe: This maybe the most ridiculous Power Rangers toy I've ever seen and that's saying a lot. There's a part of me that wants it just to make fun of it. Everything else: Eh, more action feature toys I don't care about. Pass. |
I'm actually a little underwhelmed by this display, but that's probably because it doesn't bring too much new stuff to the table.
The 4-inches look alright. I'd complain about the male coattails looking too long but that's probably just the angle of the photos. Morpher is looking pretty good, but if it's only 2 keys then that's sort of a let-down. Any way they can keep cost down and quality up, though. Glad to see that deformed ranger-hand housing is making a comeback from the Gosei Morpher's packaging. Wondering what's up with those cheaper-looking figures on the left. Bike figures? Maybe they're some of those Family Dollar figures that always turn up, but those usually aren't shown at events. |
Okay, taking a third look because Im wondering why there is a cheaper Samurai and Megaforce Red there. But, anyone else notice that Yellow and Blue both have two swords, while Green and Pink have two guns each, with Red having one sword and one gun? Maybe trying to stay with footage or something? Or maybe thats how they will come?

I'm also game for Zeo Red, though I'm wondering what happened to Galaxy Red. |
The buff rangers are hilarious, but the taller red looks pretty neat.
Looking forward to that morpher though provided it has some decent sounds. Definitely down for more Zeo and Zangyack/whatever they'll be called figs too. |
I'll pick up all the 4" Super Megaforce Rangers just like I did the Megaforce 4" as well as any Past Rangers. I am more use to 4" figures then 6". I bought Star Wars and G.I.Joe instead of Marvel Legends. So while the Figurearts are nice, I like the 4" better just for cost and display space. Although I wish we'd get past teams instead of just past Reds and Tommys. I mean to me Power Ranger/Super Sentai is a team show ( Although Kyouryuuger has kinda turned into the Daigo show...so I might be wrong.) so I'd love to see at least some exclusive boxsets of past teams instead of just Reds.
