Happy Birthday to the King of The Monsters!
|
Happy Birthday to the one who is responsible for all of this.
My first Godzilla experience was watching a tape my father put together with Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Ghidrah: The Three Headed Monster, Rodan, and Monster Zero on it. I watched that tape literally hundreds of times through my childhood. |
Happy birthday to the big G!
If we're talking first experiences, mine would have to be the build up to the 1998 movie. BBC2 hosted a night-long marathon of all things kaiju, including a really good documentary on Godzilla with bits about Ultraman and Gamera in too (which I have taped on VHS, but its sadly pretty worn now :(), some comedy skits and then ended with an airing of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. I've been hooked ever since. That night funnily enough also started my love for British comedian Bill Bailey, who presented it. Pretty big night for my tastes all in all :D |
Its Time!

Melee for Gamecube was awesome. Really enjoyed it and still do. PS2 Save the Earth was a nice update with more characters and mechanic fixes. Unleashed failed on PS2 (nothing new to offer) and failed also on Wii with not offering use of using Classic or Gamecube controller. After 10mins of swinging hands around you get bored. It would have been BEST Godzilla fighting game - but, no one thought of using those controllers. Game featured nearly all Toho Godzilla monsters plus new ones with original sound roars from movies. |
