Hahaha I am just going to imagine Noah slipping in a Sid-sempai up in this episode XD
That being said I am glad they are at least trying to make it believable as to how good he is going to get with his swordsmanship. I still wish they would have made Noah green. He would have fit Doc's mannerisms very well. I am interested in seeing how this is going to play out. |

As I have no association to the Gokaiger characters, I think the general goofiness of Green suited Jake well. Much better than the badass GoseiBlack which didn't work at all.

I think they've done pretty well though with everyone else. Gia fit Moune and Luka nicely, especially Luka. Emma is a dead ringer for Ahim (Sorry OOO), Troy fits Marvelous (Sorry everyone else). Noah's personality I think fits Joe's mannerisms. Thing is it was going to be hard for Saban to find anyone to fit Doc's style.

As I've said in this thread once already I believe, the only true Mega Fail/Farce/Forced character is Noah. First they played him as an insecure nerd and hoped no one would notice he isn't when he transforms, even if it directly goes against the plot of the show. And now they've given up on that line of enquiry and decided to just paint him as some kind of superhuman badass... who is still an insecure nerd.

Loudermilked it.
And I agree, if I hear one more "we're a team" nonsensical neo-brainwashing-edutainment halfwittery, I'm gonna barf. Emma is eye-candy and should never be the morality pet of the series. It looks like they're trying REALLLLLL hard to shoehorn Joe's character into Noah. Nope, sorry, not gonna buy it. Joe could stuff Noah into a shoebox and still have room for shoes. Points for effort trying to give something called character development to the two dimensional character acting. |
Some people are complaining about the "copy and paste"aspect of the show. I'd say do it more. If it was up to me I would've just taken the whole Gokaiger story and replicated it here becuase the Gokaiger story line was actually pretty great and what their doing here is actually kinda stupid, hence "Let's rebuild this juice bar. That'll show those aliens that we're not gonna take their super mega crap!" I'm pretty sure most american kids haven't seen Gokaiger, so... it'll be new to them. I know it's more a kids show here, but you don't have to dumb it down THAT much. I also don't like the "you used these keys so now you "unlock new zords" thing. The Gokaigers had to earn and prove themselves worthy of the new powers. Isn't working for and earning what you want a good message to send kids? I don't mind the no blood thing, but couldn't they have at least, I don't know, drawn a red line on his arm to at least make it look like he got scratched or something? I mean, by the time most kids are 5 they've skinned their knees at leat 10,000 times, so its not like they've never seen blood before. Basically I just don't like what their doing here. Too dumbed down. Too corny, even for a kids show. Look at the new Ninja Turtles series, they get across all those positive, kid friendly messages in a clever, not so Sesame Street way and it works. As of now I'm not too forward to how they're gonna butcher Kyoryuger next year.
