I would be up for another Jungle theme Sentai. Gekiranger was the last time when we had Jungle theme animals for the show. Also Jungle animals are a big seller to kids.

Thing is though we dont know yet if this Bird Sentai is actually happening. Its a very very vague rumor and before we get to see any trademarks its just wishfull thinking.

I will not complain about him using same tropes he uses like Kamen Rider Gaim.

If they doing Bird theme or Jetman-type for 39th Sentai show, have Gen Urobuchi be the head writer because he would pay homage to Jetman.

Why pay homage to a series that the target audience hasn't seen?

And paying homage to a series is not exclusive to just one writer. Anyone Toei would hire to do a Jetmanesque show could go in and pay homage to said show.

I believe the show is on DVD in Japan. I think kids who got into Sentai most likely check out the other shows. I remember as a kid, after I watched my first Godzilla film that I wanted to see them all. You also had reports of kids who became fans of Power Rangers thanks to Samurai and Megaforce use their parents Netflix account to watch the other shows.

Godzilla is a different case, as movies getting home releases is a nearly inevitable act. Television series aren't as guaranteed, especially in Japan, which seems to prefer releasing series in multiple volumes (Which can add up and get expensive, depending on the number of volumes) rather than one whole set.

I know it's not impossible for a 6-12 year old to watch Jetman through such methods, but I'm just doubtful.

If someone would attempt to do alot of homages it would not be so the kids would get them. Urobuchi almost directly reused Godais introductory scene from Kuuga a show that most kids watching Gaim would probably have never seen.

Most Writers doing these homages mostly do them for guys like them that grew up on those shows and are now adults that still kept watching.
