I mean, it's not like he's COMPLETLEY foreign to slice-of-life and other non body horror despair stories. He made this after all. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...4,203,200_.jpg He is foreign to not making things look creepy though. |
Oh, of course. Plenty of writers create stories that you wouldn't expect.
I'm just going by what I know of the guy :lol |

If someone only likes Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, would they still be view as Toku fans? I see people on Facebook telling other fans that they are not real Toku fans if they only like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.

You like Rider? You’re a Tokusatsu fan. Same with Sentai, Ultraman or whatever, you’re not measured by how much or different stuff you watched. Enjoying what you like and seeking more is all it takes. |
Is Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future considered part of the "Western-Toku" group the same as Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills or Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad and the like?
|
Probably, but it’s kind of a weird case because it predates Power Rangers by several years.
|
I don't see why it wouldn't be considered as such.
|
If this site considers Pacific Rim to be Toku, won't movies like Cloverfield and Rampage be consider to be Toku as well?
