Huh, that's a good point. I definitely feel like Ghost is one of those shows that would improve a lot by watching the whole thing in just a few sittings, though. It might make it easier to understand these long-game parallels, whereas watching it week-to-week, a lot of things blurr together or get lost in the middle.

You know it's me just realizing this but Frey and Freya from the Legend Eyecon Specials... their some kind of Ganmaizer being. The more I think about it the more it kind of lines up.

They use the Ganmaizer Portal, when Xibalba absorbs them they give him a stronger Ultima Form, and then their most recent line in Episode 44, "The key is Tenkuji Takeru." which I believe has only been said by the Ganmaizers at this point.

I guess that goes back to the general sloppiness Ghost has that keeps coming up. I still think the sheer amount of (frequently major) things people who really don't like the show forget is kind of insane.

After all, this is a show for kids, and it isn't afraid to spoon-feed you it's messages through dialogue. Which brings to one last thing I wanted to say about Mugen, since I don't think I described it well enough in my last post.

It'd be cool if the way he got the special attacks was just by feeling them or whatever, but they went a step further. It's the lesson he learns about the importance of said emotion that does it. Stuff like "happiness is contagious", or "it's important to understand why you're angry". That's the formula all those episodes after Mugen debuts use and it's why they're all still VotW stuff. So the story that week can directly be about the message.

Just wanted to join in late into that minor Gaim discussion that Gaim is not that great writing-wise and I would still rather prefer the flaws Ghost has over the many, many flaws Gaim has.

I marathoned the series up until around episode 35 (which is when I caught up) and it was much more enjoyable that way than it is weekly.
