Personally, my guess is the Gashats are just straight up made of Bugsters, but the Riders don't know that, and the moment she tried to use it was the moment she was infected.

Alternatively, the Bugster virus in Emu has never actually been dormant, just...mostly asymptomatic. His had already broken out in the past, so he'd be "immune" to getting sick. If her virus was dormant she wouldn't have been immune to it, yet.

Or the girls thing. That's honestly the more likely explanation at least from an out-of-universe perspective.

Yeah, DKHZ got a few changes. A full on helmet as opposed to just the front part, and the back. I think it's because the original Fang parts were built to fit Ex-Aid specifically. I guess these ones can be used with the other Riders without having to fit them specifically. At least, that's what I figure is going on with the helmet. Not sure the back would have been a problem though....maybe just so the bulkier look of the head wouldn't look out of place? Who really knows.

Yeah, they are pretty pathetic. Most of the time, they just act as the warm up act for Genm and then hang back. This is probably why we haven't seen many new ones - why bother, they get hardly any screentime; put the money into CGI fx.

My take on it is this, Nico never had the Game Disease. They checked her not once, but twice. And never once did they ever say that the Game Disease could lay dormant in a person all cases thus far (with Emu being he only exceptiong), because every case has been aggressive and pretty on the spot. Hiiro said the Virus must've been dormant because he's never met poor Nico. He had no idea who she was or how many times she's faked having it. So as Barn said, he was just making an educated guess, trying to make some sense of it.

The thing is, just having the game disease doesn't let you transform. The compatibility operation doesn't just give you the disease, it's clearly more involved than that. Furthermore, you shouldn't use Emu's situation as a basis either. Sure he was never given the same kind of compatibility operation that the others had, but his case is entirely unique. Obviously it's more complicated than "you have the disease = you can be a Kamen Rider."

I believe it's been confirmed that the compatibility surgery is pretty much a vaccination, and for those who don't know, vaccines give you what they're supposed to fight, but in a very low quantity, so your body gets used to it and learns how to fight it in so that should you say, get the flu, your body goes "Fam, I know you well enough, get out of my house". My theory is that Emu's virus was too dormant until the Mighty Brothers Gashat was used. Otherwise, you get what happened to Nico, she gets too much of the virus the Gashats releases and her body couldn't fight the virus due to the lack of her vaccination

Ah, I found it on the Kamen Rider wiki. Not all the gashats have the title screens there yet, Jet Combat and Giri Giri Chambara both do.

Not... really. Crazy, that is. It's in line with traditional Kamen Rider motifs and actual medical practice. Well, aside from the whole shooting you up with a metric buttload of virus to make you a super doc, but it's still a pretty in the box idea.
