Oh Taiga... You are going to die aren't you? I knew it...
That was a really heartwarming episode though, Taiga got some proper character development, and I liked seeing his dynamic with Nico gone into more. I'm pretty excited by Nico joining as a Rider, and I wonder if she will end up being pretty relevant, since she seems to be the only one who can get the little trophies when killing the Bugsters. Looks like next episode Poppy might rejoin the CR crew, or at least start down that road. Lookin' good! |
Ren's actor is fantastic - that series of microreactions he went through after the insult slap-down was just awesomely crazed - I really hope Dan comes back and those two chew up an entire episode together!

Also, we had that with Igor in Ghost. |

Taiga is going to die isn't he :(
I like Nico and I am not annoyed by her. Also I really enjoy the new Genm CEO, he is no Dan but I like the actor a lot. |
This breather episode felt like it came at a perfect time after the last two plot heavy ones.
Damn, I sure am gonna miss Taiga, there doesn't look like a way out for him unless he somehow pulls a miracle out of his ass, and it's revealed that He turns into Kamen Rider Chronos. Although, Chronos main colors are black and green... The fight with Ren was actually kinda interesting, I know they'll probably just beat him later on using the normal finishers. But I can't help but wonder what it would be like if the show decided to keep his "game mechanics" in place and require the Nico, Poppy, or the female VotW to yell insults at him in order to actually damage him from now on. |
Friendly reminder that the lack of upcoming toys means nothing. Brave's been getting along just fine with his Q1 Gashat for a while now, and is likely getting an upgrade (that seems to be a nice cheap reuse of True Brave's armor) specifically because the show's narrative ended up making the Gear Dual Beta pretty definitively Taiga's. Remember, figuring out how to beat enemies stronger than you is the best part about games. Emu said so himself.
Besides, if Taiga dying is this transparent at this point... wouldn't the most Ex-Aid possible thing for Ex-Aid to do be NOT killing him? This show seems to actively mock the idea of being predictable a lot of the time, so... All that said, Taiga's totally biting the dust by the final episode, isn't he? :p Anyway, this was a nice episode, but Ex-Aid's been a show with highs and lows for me and it seems like next week is one of those big highs again. Can't wait for it. It also warms my heart to see everyone here sticking up for Emu, who, as I've ranted about a lot lately, could really use the love. I just wish you guys didn't have to throw poor Takeru under the bus to do it. :( |
I like Emu because he reminds me a lot of Shinji Kido.
He's the show's resident butt monkey, but you can't help but like the guy. |
