Has toei ever made a live action show with a fully CGI character in every episode/most episodes before? Is Vice the closest thing we have?

The only other thing that springs to mind is that we had CGI monsters in most Ryuki episodes I feel like? Tho definitely still far from every episode, and I'm pretty sure they recycled animation for Dragredder and Darkwing pretty often... I definitely feel like having main rangers be CGI would be on a whole other level than the monsters in Ryuki

If Donbrothers is based on the story of Momotaro, I wonder what the 6th will be based on, maybe a Kibi Dango.

It's also the 40th anniversary of Goggle V, the first Sentai to use those colors and make them popular for the 80s. A green sixth to reference Dragon Ranger would be cool, but I suspect it's going to be silver.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. If the rumor is true that the female ranger is based on an Oni, it makes sense that the sixth would be kibi dango. Admittedly, most of my knowledge about this is from Boukenger.

The Engines were CGI whenever they were outside of their Casts, which was most of the time. So maybe these animals will be like that.

I'm just skeptical because Sentai's CG quality isn't too hot. So having 3 entirely CG characters means either lots of animation reuse, or Toei decided to up their yearly Sentai's budget.

I really do think there's something missing in the leaks. Like... remember how the Revice leaks said we'd be getting a secondary rider who uses evil riders, and a bat-based rider? What it didn't say is that those were the same guy. So when they say "CGI" I don't disbelieve them but I don't think it's the whole story and that it's not as simple as "they're CGI all the time"

I'm not sure if this is the case on Go-Onger or not but I hadn't considered the possibility that the animal rangers could be like, small CGI buddies of some sort, I was imaging full sized animals or humanoid characters, but if they're more like cutsey small characters it might be more feasible

Tho as Kurona pointed out they don't even keep Rilki and Cuttaner CGI all the time so it is hard to imagine they'd keep main cast members as CGI 100% of the time? Still they could do smth like Rikki and Cuttaner where they're toys sometime and CGI other times?

Maybe so, but in the rumours way before the show, and I beleive before any scans, we had rumours for "bat rider" and "evil rider" but the people spreading rumours didn't seem to know they were the same character? Or at least it was never made clear that they were the same. Also remeber the rumours that "Kamen Rider Live" was a good guy with a demon named "Evil" which is so close to right but also very wrong

To me it seems like there's a lots of half-truths in rumours, it seems pretty common honestly

I remember a zero-one rumour being that the gimmick items would be suit-cases, which nope, but there were multiple suit-case themed weapons, so it seems likely that someone saw some toy images and assumed the weapons were actually the gimmick items

I also seem to recall hearing a rumour that we'd get a rider named "Kamen Rider Flint" in Saber, and while that never happened soon after Flint was revealed as a character for Zenkaiger, could have been a coincidence but does seem like maybe an instance of crossed wires

Seems like it's easy for miscommunications in the world of leaks, and then once smth is leaked there's also the fact that the rumours get altered slightly as they spread and get translated into different languages, it leads to a lot of confusion and room for error

We have gotten toku rumours in the past that were so spot on that it was ridiculous! But it's always best to avoid assuming rumours are real, it's so easy to kill your excitement for a show by getting excited for a version of it that never existed, then being disappointed because what we get is different from the rumours people were excited about
