Still a pretty epic duel IMO, I love how Yugi and Jaden go back and fourth: each one bringing out stronger and stronger monsters and upping the ante.

I honestly don't even know how Yugi managed to stand on Jaden's par. Yugi's deck is just a crapton of crappy cards and 3 trump cards, while Jaden's deck (While based on a gimmick), actually has some form of synergy.

To be fair Judai's deck at that point is just as crappy as Yugi's and well it's pretty spelled out *atleast to me* that Yugi only won because he dropped Osiris.

Yeah but you can say the same thing about Jaden: his deck had just as many random and situational cards as Yugi's did.

Judai's HERO decks are actually decent and playable.

It's the Neos crap that makes them bad.

His deck is equally dumb, but he actually has cards that play to the rest of his deck's theming.
Yugi's deck though...It's just nothing except Osiris and his random DMC powerup cards he pulls from his ass for one use. Random cards that just buy him time for one of his god cards to appear.

But at least Jaden's deck has a reason for most of those cards. Yugi's deck was always the most all over the place. In series they justify it as "Balanced," when in reality, it's the most slapped together deck out of all the main characters.

I always thought it was funny when Atem criticized Johnny Stepp's deck for "being all over the place".:lol

I guess Yugi should consider himself lucky that a majority of his cards have changed, almost broken effects in the anime.

I honestly preferred the deck he had in POL atleast it was somewhat decent and had workable strategies in it.

So I bought Yugi's Legendary Decks a few days ago, which is my first set of Yugioh related anything in years. It's a cool set for collectors, even if half of the cards in the set are either banned or useless in today's game. I'll be using the box and Egyptian God Cards in a display when Figma Yami is released.

I decided to take a few key cards and frame them, came up with this after about an evening or so of work:

It's not perfect but it does look pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Also apparently there's a Sentai based archetype now?

Yeah, it's not a set for tournament players (unless you really want the three secret rates) but it's great for collectors like myself.

First I've heard of this, but I guess there is. It's called Super Quantum, and is coming out in a new booster pack. I might have to start playing Yu-Gi-Oh again.

I probably would have used the back for commons instead of card backs though and maybe made each row their own era, since the box comes with three decks. But you would need a bigger frame for that :lol

Though, I would say that it'd be neat if they did something similar for Kaiba and Joey. Mainly Kaiba, though. It'd be neat if they did what his early OCG structure deck did and feature 3 Blue Eyes in different languages again~

...are those the final colors for that Dark Magician? Because I was really hoping for something a bit more anime-accurate...

So Revoltech Yugi is his post-series self while the Figma is Atem Yugi, interesting. Yugi looks weird with the Revoltech ball joints, especially on the hips, which is one of the things I have never liked about that line. Monsters looks fine, but humanoids never.

Black Magician looks terrible due to the joints on the skirt pieces. Is it really necessary to make those articulated rather than just using a softer plastic?

Sadly yes. The movie is using an alternate card design that Takahashi himself created. I really don't like the design or a lot of his redesigns in general.

Yeah, that is why I was asking for him to define what he meant by original colors. The purple Magician was not the original colors, just the original Duel Monsters anime colors.

I feel the one that the colors are of the Revoltech fit more with what he would look like in the manga.

However, I'm going to guess that the Figma will be the anime one if they do him.
