Got my first badge, probably the easiest first gym I've fought in any game.

Anyone here doing the online Dream World thing? Want to trade Friend Codes? (Bear in mind, I have no idea how this works yet as I'm just starting to learn it.)

Basically the Dream World is a place full of minigames in which you can befriend Pokémon after completing their game, and plant berries, trade said berries in for Dream World house decorations, and find items. When you reach a certain amount of Dreamworld points, new areas in the Dream World's Island of Dreams open up, but at all times, they are selected at random, so you can't choose which area to go to. But some areas include cool Pokémon like Aerodactyl and Kabuto, all with their Dream World Ability :)

A fun little series that got me back into Pokemon after I had lost interest in B/W (Before B/W2 came out) was Pokemon: Hard Mode (Also known as the Nuzlocke, and yes, the art does improve).

This one is a bit more difficult for me.
I love Magneton so much I once built a team around him (And when I re-learned the TCG, when I had forgotten the rules, I built an entire deck around him, with 20 Magnemite and 8 Magneton :lol)
But, Magnezone is just so cool too!
Magneton has nostalgia of being my favorite Pokemon until the creation of Milotic, but Magnezone is just such an awesome mon!

Hmm....I'll just state my original favorite Electric-types, Pikachu and Jolteon

Pikachu is clearly my favorite, no contest. The anime played a big part in making it so appealing. It was my favorite Pokémon as a kid and remains cute in the more recent generations.

As for other electric types, that will be a little harder. In general I've not found many electric types I've liked and usually give them up in my final team. I guess the best one I got is Zekrom, and for a non-legendary, Electivire.

Although electric is my favourite type in general so I have lots of favourites - Lanturn, Magnezone, Galvantula, Plusle & Minun...

I should really raise an electric gym team some day.

Electric types are a bit too rare for my taste, I hope Gen VI introduces a whole bunch of them.

Your mention of Plusle and Minun reminded me of my favorite "electric rodent Pokémon" after Pikachu, that is, Emolga. This little critter caught me completely off-guard. Part of the reason Elesa's team was much harder than the average gym was because of Emolga's annoying Volt Switch and Flying typing. Also, Iris' Emolga in the anime is devilishly evil in characterization, but adorably so.

Fire needs more members, to be honest. We're lucky if a new gen introduces 10 more, while Water is normally getting 40+ new members each generation...

Electric might not be as common as Water, but they get tons of new additions.

You're right about Fire, I forgot how rare they are. Remember when Generation IV's only new Fire-type evolutionary line was the starter Chimchar? That was plain embarrassing, especially with a Fire-type Elite Four member.

Yeah. It's just plain sad how little love Fire gets.
Fire E4 member with only 2 Fire types on his team? That's pretty inexcusable.

Favorite Fire type?
This one is kind of difficult. Charizard is pretty badass, but Blaziken is a flaming chicken, and that's awesome.

Favourite electric: Elektross. Tynamo is adorable and then turns in the beast that is Elektross, plus its pure electric and has levitate meaning it has no weakness. So he wins both aesthetically and strategically for me. I do like electrics in general though, possibly my second favourite type.

Fire.. Err Tepig probably. I dunno, I don't really like any fire types enough to put one in my team =\ definitely hoping for some new ones in X and Y.

Hmm fire type is a bit harder...it used to be Flareon, but I'd say its Chandelure these days.

I have to agree fire needs much more love though. I remember when I was playing Emerald (my first gen 3 game) I wanted to play through it with entirely new Pokemon. I didn't pick Torchic, so my only choices as far as fire types went was Numel or Tokoal.

I concur with the need of new Fire types. As for my favorite, Infernape with Houndoom a close second.

Fire wise i love volcarona, as for electricity cant go wrong with raichu.

Volcarona is a thing of beauty, I almost forgot about it.

My fave water is Vaporeon which is also my favourite Eeveelution.

My favourite Electric is Luxray because he looks cool. It would of made him even cooler if he were electric/dark type.

My favourite fire is Infernape since I like Ape pokemon and he's the most Apish out of all of them.
