I've been reading Kurogane no Linebarrels and Akame ga kill so far I'm enjoying both.

I just started reading Freezing and I absolutely love this manga to death. I love every single character, especially Satilizer. Phew, I love that girl...

The concept of it is really cool to me, like the female Pandoras and their male Limiter partners, like Soul Eater's concept of the Meister and Weapon.

I really suggest this manga to anyone who loves action, violence, blood, romance, and drama! :D

Gundam the origin volume 3.

Good old Rama Ral. Got me to care about him more then the show did so that’s a plus.

Volume 4

I like the changes to the attack on Jaburo, with Amuro getting in a GM instead of the Gundam. Same shitty kids diffusing the bombs bullshit. But they upgraded the RX-78 to have that stupid ass core fighter....

Volume 5

This is the book that has all of the origin story of Char and Sayla and is going to be adapted into the Origin OVAs. It's just so interesting to see how everyone starts out and how they get to the point they are at in MSG. Rama Ral being a good guy at one point in his life shocked me the most.

I thought it was really dumb having two Chars running around but I guess that fixes the plot hole from MSG of why the Zabis, who killed Zeon Deikun, have his son work under them.

I'm really interested to how that Zaku prototype develops. I'm even more interested to see how the OVA does it, just to see how it moves and sounds.

Read the first volume of Sex Criminals today and man this book is so damn awesome. I read it in college today and it was really hard not to burst out in loud laughter every panel.

I just finished "The Man in the high Castle" by Philip K. Dick and damn thats some heavy stuff right there but it was really good. My Head is still hurting from thinking that much though :lol

Bought the first two TPB of new 52 Batwoman, pretty good reads. Nice to see a strong, lesbian character treated with respect

I started reading Gundam The Origin today. It's pretty nice.

It was really cool to see the rising and final political tension before the war and the first ever mobile suit fight.

I think the Zaku Is vs the guncannons fight might be one of the greatest Gundam fights when animated, if they do it right.


Volume 7

How crap, after reading this I feel like I understood the other half of the one-year war. I feel like I understand so much now. To see Char in all of his glory and thensome is cool. Plus, it was cool to get some depth on Old man Degwin and his connection with Revil and him trying to sway him.

Also, the part where M-quve was pointing out fake art made me think of Unicorn and the painting that they reference.

I also liked the extra chapter at the end showing the day before the Zaku IIs and Char attack Side 7.

Being a month away from 22, after starting to read Naruto when I was 14, I can finally say, without a doubt, 700 chapters later....


... Naruto was shit.

I particularly love that all the girls ended up as housewives because when it comes to Kishimoto once a sexist, always a sexist.

I never liked Naruto. I stopped bothering with the series after the bridge arc because it was so damn boring and even when I tried more of it later on, I still found nothing interesting about it. I might read the final chapter when it comes out on Sunday just to see how the series ends. If Sasuke and Naruto are not in bed with each other on the last page then the entire series was a waste.

700 chapter later I enjoyed it what we got. I will say this naruto da dome was the one fandom that is the worest just due to who naruto should end up with and so forth came naruhina and Narusaku fandom. With that though I did enjoy as a manga. It not up there with one piece of bleach but it was enjoyable to the end.

So I read the last chapter of Naruto...god was that predictable. Everything from where it was going to who were the parents of the kids. And the kids suck. They are literally carbon copies of one or both of their parents. If this is what this supposed part 3 is going to be, then yeah....fuck this shit.

Here I came to celebrate having read the ending of Naruto, but all I find is vitriol. Why am I not surprised by those doing it...

So picked my Subsriction of comic for the month about a week ago adn I'm kinda disappointed. Its not that the issues are bad its just that everything was just set u for more stuff. Guess I'll go from weakest to strongest

Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man #6- The end of issue 5 is resolved and we get a possible explanation for why [SPOILERS]Peter is back[/SPOILERS] and why Norman Osborn never stays down. Ends on a cliffhanger of course. My big issue is that Bendis is really writing for the trade paperback as so it really makes the month of waiting worse and the pay off for the stuff left unresolved in issue 5 is weak.

Batman #35- Finally a new arc! Its mostly good and since the cover already spoils it, we get to see Batman fight (most) of the Justice League. The short story at the end is nice and creepy too. A nice part 1 to the Endgame arc.

Transformers MTMTE #34- I guess this supposed to be the breather issue between 33 and the upcoming Days of Decepticon arc but it doesn't feel like it. We get more back story for Megatron and focus on some B list crew members. Also, possibly most importantly, we get to see Rung's rival, Froid! And he appears to have a ball gag for a mouth.... am I thinking to Freudian here?

You shouldn't be surprised. The ending of a sucky series was sucky.

The only celebration is that I don't feel a need to read it every week anymore. I got so far I felt I needed to see it through the end but Kishimoto is just an objectively shit writer and the ending exemplified his awfulness.

It's been bad series for a long, long time. I think the Pain Arc was the last time it was even close to being good and even that had a pathetic cop-out ending.

I think the panel of Sakura in a maid's clothing dusting was actually the perfect summation of her "character arc".

I bought another comic along with issue 18 of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. (which by the way i should look for the first 17 chapters online)

This comic was Megaman issue 41: legends of the blue bomber 1. I love Topman in this comic, with him being obsessed with being fabulous. And i love the scene where Megaman just flies over hi's obstacles and he reacts like. "Bu! But your missing the entire point of the platforms!" Snakeman's bit went by a little too fast but he did look cool so i'll give him that. I'm definitely getting a subscription to the comic when i get the chance, i'm hooked.

Also Phoenix Wright cameo in the Megaman comics? Epic.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Naruto's ending, but it wasn't the dog-shit everyone claimed it was. I love the universe Naruto set up, I just wish the characters & plots were better. But that's not what bugs me. Why is it that everyone who reads Naruto seems to have such a raging hate for it? If it was as awful as people believed it was then why continue reading? Drop it so you can invest time in things that you could enjoy. Had you done that a long time ago you'd save yourself from feeling displeased with a story that no one is forcing you to follow. That's why I don't go to the Naruto forums anymore. Geez, just get over it.

Oh get over yourself. Been nothing but shit coming from your mouth for the past few days about how anything you didn't adore is just utter horseshit and anyone who like it should feel bad.

Fully recognizing its faults, I was still able to find enjoyment in reading Naruto and there was nothing bloody wrong with that. Although it needed to, it is still saddening to see it finally end when consumption of its lore has been a part of ones life for so long.

Many parts were incredibly predictable, but all the same, the ending felt like a true and proper ending and I appreciated that. The story largely (a few gaps will surely be filled by the upcoming movie of course) feels resolved and that's a rare feeling to have.

Re-reading The Wheel of Time and the Honor Harrington series concurrently. On A Crown of Swords and War of Honor, respectively.

Yep, it was very resolved. Like The Big Bad or the entire first half of the series and the first three or so arcs of Part 2 being... Where? And he's not even going to be featured in the "Pair the Spares" movie!

No, the series was just bad for ages with bloated filler-filled "epic" battles, completely stagnant character development and a predictable, boring plot that was terrified in taking absolutely any risks and literally everything that happened having zero consequences. 99% of characters ended the series exactly how they began a series and when you're writing a plot-driven "ensemble" story like Naruto that's 700 chapters long, that's just unacceptable. I don't need to get over myself, that's just the way it is. There's nothing wrong with enjoying it and you don't need to feel bad about it (I enjoy heaps of bad stuff too) but nope, it's been badly written for a long, long time. I'm not gonna pretend it was anything but sucky because it might hurt your feelings that someone thinks it sucked. Just go on GameFaqs or something if you can't handle opposing opinions! I'm sure there's heaps of 12 year olds that thought it was well-written that can share happy feelings about the ending.


I kept with it, as I said, because I started reading back in 2006 when I was 14 and wanted to see how it ended. It's just a weekly manga that's like 13 pages long (with each chapter having the events of like 3 pages for the last four years or so), so its not like its difficult to get through. However I'm stupid but not masochistic. There's no way I'll force myself through the announced "Part 3" because I owe it to myself to stop.

Nobody forced me to follow it to the end, it was a choice I made. I did really, really enjoy it back in Part 1 and early Part 2.


I dunno, I think the "Babies Ever After" ending was perfectly generic and predictable and therefore a perfect ending for a series that takes zero risks like Naruto. Was anyone really expecting anything better then "pair everyone up and make them have babies with the exact same personalities as one of their parents each"?

Naruto was one of those things for me at least that it sort of devolved and got more boring and worst as time went on. Honestly the last time I even cared was right before the war started and Sasuke attacked the other Hokages. After that I just gave up on the series and only read snippets of what was happening every so often. It's a series that while I look back and still enjoy the parts that I really liked, it's a series I have no interest in ever reading it again unless it's those specific moments.

I agree completely. Especially the Hokage Summit part. That was around the time I stopped actually caring or having any emotional response to the characters too.

I've got similar feelings. Though I'm nothing but supportive of extra materials & stories since I think it's a chance to fix mistakes the main series had. That's why I enjoy filler & video games with original stories of various franchises so much; you can introduce new concepts & characters that give fans more options to choose from & potentially enjoy.

Yeah, I'm still a big fan of the Ultimate Ninja and Clash of Ninja games, in fact they've probably been a big factor in my continuation of the series, although I've learned to skip every second instalment because of CyberConnect's bizarre "new game every year" contract.

Wait, so in Naruto Hinato, the only bad ass character in the series, marries and have a child with Naruto... My god, it is Harry Potter's ending all over again and Naruto is Jenny Weasley.

All this Naruto talk makes me wonder how the shippers are handling the ending because those reactions are going to be priceless.:lol

It was just like Harry Potter, honestly. Actually, more like Digimon Adventure 2.0 in that the characters were just randomly paired off. Their children all are weird fusions of their parents. One parents face, one parents hair color and then given one of their parents personalities.

Naruto and Hinata- Son the same as Naruto in almost every way, even called Boruto (ugh), daughter looks like Hinata with whiskers
Sasuke and Sakura (Sakura was just written so awfully... Such a regressive character arc)- Daughter looks like Sakura with black hair and glasses. Personality the same as Sakura.
Shikamaru and Temari- Son who's identical to Shikamaru but with Temari's eyes. Same personality as Shikamaru.
Ino and Sai- Sai turns out NOT to be the only gay character in a sea of straight. Sigh. Son with Ino's personality that looks like Sai with blonde hair.
Chouji and Karui (these two characters were never on the same panel prior to time-skip)- Chubby Karui with Chouji's stereotypical "I'm fat" personality traits
Rock Lee and ???: Son identical to Rock Lee

Ugh. Very boring, it's just about meeting people and parties until 2/3rds of the way in when we find out that another character is having an affair.

Finally got this book done for school. The last 3rd was interesting and you see the situation change between two of the characters and the fallout at the end but other then that I wouldn't read this book again unless I had to.

Their Eyes were watching God.

It's about the life story of this middle aged black woman around 1880-1930. The first 5 chapters were interesting in that they were about finding love and a person's life story. You see a lot of relationship complications and "She don't wanna be with that man no' mo'" kind of thing. The worst part about this story though is that the dialogue is written the way southerners would speak it. Meaning a heavy interpretation on trying to figure out what the fuck they are trying to say for the more hicky characters.

But then in chapter 6 it becomes about this Mule stuff, and I wouldn't have been surprised if this was a Forest Gump segment or something lol.

They're pissed as hell aren't they. :lol

Finished my WoT and Honorverse re-read. Also just finished the latest Kris Longknife book. Now moving on to a Wild Cards series re-read and starting I Want My MTV, for a nonfiction fix.

Blood of Olympus and after that I'm gonna read Catching Fire.

Just picked up Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer from the local book store. I'm pretty sure both main characters are sociopathic.

I just started reading a book called I Funny by James Patterson... I love it. I kind of depicts me when I was in middle school, but I wasn't in a wheelchair.

And I find myself actually laughing at the jokes and references in this book. It's hysterical to me. :lol

Also, I heard that it's a sequel to the book called I Even Funnier and I'm so getting that book after reading this one. I just adore Jamie Grimm and his imagination and sense of humor. :)

I really liked this manga, there's enough differences from the anime to warrant a purchase, i like the artstyle they have although sometimes it makes me go "Jesus christ people eat a burger!" Funny because later in the manga they show Van and Amy eaten at a burger joint.

And the burger joint is called 'Inazuma burger'. Cute. :D
