A lot of my friends who decided to re-watch Tamers (All...3 of them, I think), bitched so hard about Gallantmon's voice (Going from a full grown adult in the Japanese to a combination of Takato and Guilmon speaking simultaneously in the dub) that it was the sole reason why they stuck to subs :lol

But yeah. I really enjoyed Tamers' dub. There were some rather...Stilted moments, but Takato's post puberty voice (Rather than the original's high pitched, obviously prepubescent voice) and the fact that I'm more familiar with the changed names are pluses :p

And then there's Sinduramon's owl.

The sub is probably far superior to the dub, but basically every anime I grew up with was dubbed and as such those voices are who I associate the characters with.

Pokémon, the Dragonball franchise, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Big O etc etc and so it was just a really odd experience watching something so familiar with such alien voices. The sub doesn't really compare to voices and personalities that I grew up with and become so familiar and close to.

Well, the Dark Masters do have the advantage of being Mega, while the Devas were all Ultimates.

It was not a very good game.

I think a 2D fighter would work rather than a party brawler, but it would eschew Rookies and Champions and basically feature just Ultimates and Megas for the battlers, which is something that's apparently taboo.

I really want to play the Rumble arena games but i don't have a Playstation so i'm stuck.

They're nothing special, honestly.

I have Rumble Arena 2 for the Xbox. Its pretty fun even if the gameplay mechanics are just watered-down Smash Bros style.

The Battle Arena games are fun with friends, but just not quite my thing otherwise.

Just finished Xros Wars chapter 18. It's about time they got to Ballistamon's, Sparrowmon's, and Dorulumon's evolutions! Now it feels like a proper Digimon series. :P

I'm only up to Chapter 16 of the Xros Wars Manga. I must say its a lot better than the anime.

Speaking of JO, did she ever finish her History of Power Rangers, er...Digimon episode of Tamers? She divided it into like, 30 parts and last I saw she was only up to female character development, not male or Digimon yet.

And really? I figured Izzy was always just a nickname.

Finished the Xros Wars manga. Yep, that was infinitely better than the show, even if there was a somewhat unrealistic "happy" ending for literally every character.

The only series to not end on a super happy note was Tamers, and even then, their post series movie rectified everything.

If you're expecting a Gundam ending with 2 dead characters, all but one Gundam destroyed, and everyone else beaten and battered to a bloody pulp, you might be in the wrong boat :lol

Anyway, watching more of Tamers. I'm still trying to decide if I want to continue the Japanese version and have it uncensored, or start watching the dub and deal with the better voices.

A lot hasn't, but there were still changes.

When Terriermon first evolved into Gargomon, there were 2 changes.
The first was when Renamon scratched Gargomon's eyes. In the original, this left scratch marks. In the dub, the scratch marks were removed.
The second was, during Gargomon's rampage, in the original, he pointed his gun-arm thing at Rika, in the dub, he was just facing her (Gun arm edited to be by his side).

These are relatively minor, and, in the grand scheme of things, inconsequential (It's not like Digimon Adventure/Season 1, where they changed context, dialogue, and a character's entire personality just to make one joke). And, from what I've seen, there hasn't been any other changes yet (I'm 4 episodes in), so 2 edits over the course of 4 episodes isn't much.

I'm probably going to swap over to the dub because I prefer the dub's voices (Apparently, in the original, they were 10, but in the dub, they were aged up to 12, which is why Takato's voice sounds so much better dubbed).

I think I'm deffo gonna go with the dub then, at least when I find a torrent that actually has seeds.

Nysa.eu has a dual audio of adventure using the Japanese uncut video feed and have subs as well so 1st to ep have to dubs

The biggest change in the dub was in the portrayal of Rika (or Ruki Makino for you sub purists out there). In the Japanese version she was relatively quiet and never (and I mean never) trash talked any of the other characters. I personally found Rika a little more enjoyable than Ruki though and come on, with that design how would you expect her act?

Doesn't hurt that she has the same voice actor as Gaz from Invader Zim either. Though I did know her as Rika first.
