Well I am thinking this series is going to be dark for one reason.
There is a five year theme in Sentai.
Year one: this is the sentai that tries something new and usually consists of a three person team with at least two other rangers joining.(Huricanger, Gekiranger, Go-Busters)
Year two is usually the more light-hearted sentai.(Abaranger, Go-Onger, Kyoryuger)
Year three: Is usually the sentai that is more dark in tone and not so light hearted.(Dekaranger, Shinkenger)
Year four: Is usually more magic themed.(Magiranger, Goseiger)
Year five is the anniversary season anything can happen.( Boukenger, Gokaiger.

I'm taking this as a signal that we really should conduct ourselves better and get this thread back on track. I want to also express my dissatisfaction will all of you. We need to not constantly de-rail the conversation. We're loosing steam here. The conversation needs to be brought up to the next platform in order to increase our influence upon the engine that is the internet.

After the image of them lined up like a train, you'd have better luck convincing me they're peanuts before you could convince me that the series would be darker in tone :lol

Toei doesn't make series on some kind of list. They just gauge what's successful and what's not and try to aim for the best.
Kyoryu is silly fun with dinos because they wanted a difference in tone from GoBusters and because kids love dinosaurs.

Then you'd think we'd get more Kyoryuger. Those toys (And lets face it, this exists for toysales) sold like little plastic crack rocks.

Retiring toys and characters keeps a brand fresh.
There's a reason why every Sentai team is overexposed. They shove the Kyoryugers in your face then ditch them before audiences get tired of them.

it seems like we are getting kyoryuger 2.0 since the producer is the assistant of kyoryuger.
