I don't think blaming the show is an excuse or stretch at all.

The show's what sells the toys. If the show doesn't do well, the toys don't sell well.

That's often not the case though. For example, Kyoryuger as a TV show is doing very poorly in ratings, just slightly better than Go-Busters. Its toyline is on track to match Abaranger, Go-Onger and Gokaiger as one of the best performing lines in over ten years. I think Bandai would want the show to do well though, since they foot a good portion of the production costs.

The big issue for me with the Go-onger toys were that they just weren't that much fun at the end of the day. Way to much part swapping and much to confusing for many kids. Hell, at the end I sold them all off. ME! I got rid of Sentai toys!

Maybe Gobuster fialed because every megazord past Gobuster Ace looked like an utter mess?

Go-Busters still had better mechs than the stacked clusterfucks that had come before it.

The toyline would have been fine....if it was the 90s/Early 00s

but no this was 2012 and the Go-busters toys were just not appealing to kids. Especially how gimmick heavy Rider is and how gimmick heavy the year prior was for sentai.

The toy line lacked:

- Variety of different mecha combinations
- Auxiliary mecha
- A gimmick to the morpher to get lots of sounds (You just came off Goseiger and Gokaiger both very gimmicky transformation devices. As well as the OOO and Fourze belts at the time. I imagine kids saw the Morphin' brace as a step down)

Also some of the release dates were a bit odd and didn't line up when the item premiered in the show. from memory the morphin' brace upgrade item came out in November but was in the show in late September? though that could just be bandai not giving a shit after 2 Quarters of low sales :/

So there's chatter that tonight will have the reveal. This trend of chatter will continue for days I suspect - but just in case, we're watching the usual spots.

And I shall be up with you lot tonight since Im out of school :D and my nephews are staying the night so I dont think Ill be sleeping much :lol

I'm quite glad my dad has a few favors he can call in. I can wait out Kyoryuger, but this will be MINE!

Called the D51. Here's hoping the DD51 appears as well. They look VERY different. Maybe as a White?

Those outfits look so boring. The characters have to be impressive because that doesn't grab me.

I absolutely adore the retro look of these suits. The track visors are just brilliant.

Bummed the DD51 is a no-show, but WOW this is AWESOME!

Man those designs look so old school and pretty stereotypical old school at that.I thought I was looking at the Brass Rangers for a second.

Really though I can't judge based on suit designs,but I do wish the rails on the chest were more like a harness to break up the sea of single color of the suits.A missed opportunity that I'll try to live with.

One that I will not live with however is if they pass up the chance of the obvious Super Hero Taisen team-up with Den-O.C'mon,bring on the Tokkyu-Oh x Denliner mecha.
