i was really looking forward to seeing go-busters get adapted. it was my favorite sentai and i really wanted to see what would happen with it over here. :(

Man the comments on that page pretty much prove American fans' ignorance of PR's source material.*Really calling it a Dino Thunder clone just because of a similar name even when the premise is completely different seriously?*

And I'm laughing my ass off at people there complaining about "another" Dino season considering PR has only had 2 dinosaur seasons over 20 years.

im not going to risk trawling back through 17 pages, just gonna state my opinion and bow out.

I was MASSIVELY looking forward to seeing Go Busters adapted, it was the first sentai i watched from day 1, it was far from perfect, but I enjoyed it. Heres why there may be an issue in my mind.

1) 5 Rangers. Saban has always maintained that each team has a sixth ranger. To add a new ranger, perhaps one to match tategami Lioh, means a major amount of new suit footage.
2) 6 Mecha total, no aux zords, at best 3 Megazord sets. For a Power Rangers toyline that would be weak as hell, its the add ons that keep the line going for a lot of kids.
3) 2 of the 5 rangers never receive a power up form = Less on screen figures in the toyline.
4) Range of spinoff merch is lower, theres no keys/batteries, this is a show designed to sell lots of toys and it needs some kind of pocket money item.
5) very superficial, but this is a show about ninjas in spandex, the leather outfits are a major shock for kids to take it only to restore the spandex the following year.
6) Theres no monster general until Enter gets his power up mode. Again, more new footage.
7) Its scientifically proven to be impossible to get anybody to make a cuter laugh than escape, so best not to try.

Logistically Id imagine reworking it into a 1 year show would be possible, but likely run the budget way over with the new footage it would likely need

Very much a shame.

i just thought of something, don't know if someone else has said this but what if they use the dark red buster suit as the bounty hunter? it could work, i mean if i didn't know about him and someone showed me a picture and said, "this guy is a bounty hunter" i could believe it.

This just in: Go-Busters will be added to Dino Charge in some way.

That would make 100% less sense than switching going from Goseiger to Gokaiger suits. And seeing as the whole series seems Dino themed, I doubt there'll be any suit changes among the main team anyway.

The only way I could see that working is in a crossover special: "Rangers of Two Worlds." In which the Dino Charge Rangers meet the next generation of RPM Rangers after they come to our universe through a rift in the space-time continuum and team up to defeat Venjix.

That sounds... Crazy enough to work!

I hope they stick mainly to the Kyoryuger aesthetic, using mainly villains, mech (...I suppose), etc., and OF COURSE Dark Red Buster as the bounty hunter.

Haha, Yeah...I think I'll stop for a while before it gets too irritating though. Also I dunno why I never considered this, but they could just go the alien ranger route. Not by having them be aliens, but they could just be another team that helps out when the main team is out of commission or preoccupied for whatever reason.

That way they can work in the Go-Buster mech footage if they want.

I'd watch that.

Then again, given how Bhuamik's Hexagon idea was shot down in favour of the Ninja Storm we actually got, I have little hope for any large support organisation with additonal rangers.

They'd also need to explain why monsters from the Go-Busters footage needs a different team... Could work!

No offence to Rangercrew, but the source for this incorporation information is the new Dino Charge page they set up, according to their forum, and that has no news stories about this. Im kind of skeptical about the validity of this.

Quite right. But Saban have more or less confirmed this given both USA Today and the facebook page run by Saban Brands have posted on the info.

We are, yes, but I'm pretty certain (while there is a fanon page for it) that USA today wouldn't report on a future release using fanon and a completely unfounded rumour as a source. After all, regardless of their competance or lack there of they're supposed to be a news company. That's their business. The way they make money.

I know one of you will jump in saying corruption and sensationalism exist in the media but, this definitely looks a little more than pure fanfic, dude.

Hey who is going to Toyfair for Tokunation? I imagine there might be a saban representative there right, you think you can try to ask some questions about Dino Charge, Mainly how they can skip Go-buster to Kyurouger.

At the very least Kyoryuger is the next season.

My guess is a loophole in the "Saban must adapt these seasons" that permits the order to be juggled around letting Dinos come before spies while not entitled saying spies won't be adapted ever.

Not that it was the adaptation of Kyoryuger. Although how much will factor in is pure conjecture at this point. (ie the additional rangers, villains etc)

I think you guys have jumped from one point to another. Im pretty sure nobody said Kyoryuger wasnt being adapted, i was following up on a point about Fury Diamond speculating, other fans passing it off as fact and me totally doubting validity.

Between you and me, I dont think anybody needs to be asked to bring this up. Im pretty sure every other question they get asked will be this.

They're arguing about exactly this over on RB. Thing is FD has confirmed he was only speculating on Facebook, and that he really should have added "my guess is..." or something. Misleading, yes.

As far as I can tell, what we do know is this;
- Kyoryuger
- Bountry hunter villain
- Probably no Go-busters PR season

But I'm definitely intrigued by the suggestion of energy sources, and one single villain figure... sounds pretty GB. Ah well, I can totally deal with that, or a straight adaption. After all Go-busters footage is pretty readily adaptable I'd say.

I honestly wouldnt mind if they used an adapted Enter as the villain, tracking some mythical macguffin and creating monsters to slow down the Kyoryugers. Then youve got some great footage with Upgraded Enter, you can use Escape and the Kyoryuger Mecha stuff remains. Only thing is new footage for the live action scenes to work in Enter to the Kyoryuger footage

But that would require effort something Saban hates.:lol

That is a fair point. Ive no idea then. makes sense to me, but the tight as f*** budget theyre supposedly on would likely write off that idea.

First off, most of the reps at Toy Fair don't know jack about what they're showing off. If they do, it's toy based.

Secondly, the "loophole" for required season use is that it must use some of the footage from the season. A certain percentage. That's how Dairanger was adapted, using the Thunderzords for MMPR Season 2.

It's whatever sells the toys, guys.
