I voted. I don't really get to make much use of the prizes, but I had some fun voting in what is a flashier version of what we were doing on this site just a few months ago. Most surprising is it turned out my picks are generally the mass consensus picks as well, that doesn't usually happen with me but I'm glad it did.

As much as I shit on MMPR, and hate how MMPR overkill this celebration is, considering the kind of crap examples of Rangers the MMPR Rangers were often stacked against I had to vote for those iconic dino diamond clad highschoolers, I'm sorry.

Biggest surprise though is how well Ninja Storm and Turbo are doing. I mean I like Ninja Storm, but I thought being a "true" Ranger fan involved shitting on Turbo and Disney?

This whole thing continues to prove to me that no matter how much people cry sexism, no matter how much fans think they have the ability to control the voting, kids are going to rule it.

Examples?

Red Wolf Warrior is beating Titanium Ranger (an older fan favorite). Why? Because he looks cooler in his picture.

Red Samurai Lauren is losing. Why? Because for all the cries of sexism, she's still losing to a nobody, meaning that boys will continue to support the boys. Not because they're all little sexist jerks, but because boys buy boy stuff.

Not saying it's a shame ... just saying I hope we can stop the cries of sexism every time Bandai of America or Saban puts out something that isn't super heavily female oriented.

PLUS it also really isn't Saban's fault. Whether we want to admit or not, women get treated HORRIBLY by sentai and there is only so much you can do when you're adapting shows that shaft women so much in the first place. Call it token casting if you want, but Power Rangers changing male characters into female ones, and adding more variety of races and ages is honestly a lot more than sentai has ever done.

Hell, the only reason Sentai has women is because of complaints over the lack of them in Sun Vulcan. :lol

It's just that without votes in this thing Titanium will likely never get any love again from BOA. Yes there's the 5" figure coming but that's been it since Lightspeed actually aired. I have no clue why they'd put him up against Wolf Warrior in round one other than to try and placate people. "Oh well we tried and you obviously didn't want him". No,we want him but he's in a ridiculous match up that's going to be hard to win. And that at this point he most certainly will not win.

But speaking specifically of this forum, knowing what Gokaiger is and what the end game of Morphing Madness is, why the hell would you vote against stuff that doesn't currently exist in key form? I'm less that she sucks compared to Ahim and more that the mere concept that anyone prefers Emma, basically the poster child for generic and blandly acted and written characters, to one of PR's most well-rounded, interesting characters with one of the most involving character arcs in the history of Power Rangers is just insane. Thankfully, Time Force Pink is currently winning but just how close she is to SMF is actually concerning because I find it unbelievable.

I will say, I'm kinda voting for the also-ran Rangers other than Phantom and Titanium, just to ensure that they can get some easy wins further down the bracket.

I've been voting for him since day one. All Trent has in his favor in my opinion is his suit, but even then I think Magna Defender is cooler. Mike wans't the best character, but well, Trent to me is like the other Dinos outside of Tommy: generic cliches of teenagers with an actor who did an only alright job.
