Hulu has the first few sailor moon episodes up now. it seems to be sub and not dub.

Well that is only obvious since they probably haven't started dubbing them yet. Oh, and they said it would subbed on Hulu. I hate Viz though because there is no streaming site they use that is commercial free.

Yeah, they're releasing them all subbed and then releasing the new dub periodically.

Ok with crystal meant to be following the manga more. Remember 3 scouts that were evil and part of circus villain group and their memories back. Does this mean we might see them in the new anime.

So i watched that trailer, something about modern animation with that 90's art style just kind of bugs me.

It's because animation is all done by computer now. Nothing we can do about it so there is no point in lamenting over it.

I think it looks great. The initial release is a worldwide one on Nico Nico right? So non-Japanese can watch it right? I'm assuming no subs yet?

But as we always know when there is a remake... nothing can´t beat the original one.

In may I watched all the episodes, specials and the movies of the entire franchise, and I was pretty exhausted after that... so none more Sailor moon for me this summerXD

I have ordered the first manga box-set from USA, because I want to see how much stuff there was not in the anime for example the human-form of the cats luna and artemis as I read in the wikapedia.

Officially hyped for Sailor Moon Crystal now. Masaya Matsukaze, the actor who played MegaBlue, will be Zoisite!
As for the rest of Dark Kingdom, Beryl was Vancuria in Magiranger, Kunzite was for example Rouki/Loki in Gaoranger and Jadeite and Nephrite also voiced some characters in Tokusatsu. Maaan that's awesome!

Phew, I'm not a big fan of the german dub xD Though most of the VAs are really amazing people.

It was super s and stars german I mainly grew up with first due to me getting German free view over her in the UK due to my late Oma ( call her Omi here though ) so I grew up with mainly German dub anime sailor moon was one of them along with classic dragon ball and one piece

I've never seen those seasons as a kid because honestly, I was scared to death by the monsters when I first watched the show (I was three at that time) xDDD

I'm also 21 now. I watched Sailor Moon in the 2005 anime block on RTL again and liked it a lot more, but I never bothered to finish the anime afterwards xD

Lol just caught rerun while I was of sick from school but I I caught a lot of snime back then before English dubs and now I just watch them subbed

Not really hyped/caring about the anime, but lordy am I getting really into the manga. My next couple of volumes can't come quick enough from the library. I needs them!

Ok the transformation sequence was awesome they could done away with CG cause it would if still looked great in 2D opening theme not as rememberable like original and there was no need for CG in there Esther still some new anime don't use CG as much. But all in all still great. VA actress you can tell aged and voice is slightly different but sounds the same when usagi calls moon prism power. But that it like the rest

Well it came to a surprise for me that the guys who is doing abaranger just relaesed the live action of PRETTY GUARDIAN SAILOR MOON episode 1 out!!
They have said that they want to contine the show after abaranger is done and over:)

I don't understand Japanese at all, but even I noticed that the subs felt completely unnatural. Not a great start for such a big release.

Yeah, its certainly watchable. Its more disappointing because things like this are supposed to deter the creation of fansubs, not push them further.

I watched it and enjoyed the sub did not bother me but there fan sub group called Baaro that I recommended they sub buu arc of Dragon ball Kai. So they do tv rip sub it them selves but I enjoyed crunchy rolls sub and I can see they get better

I'll give it a watch to support the official release. But you're right, this should deter the creation of fansubs, so it's a big shame.
