I just realized something.

Aoninja is the first blue ninja that isn't Cyan.

This show now has my full attention. On International Day of the Ninja, no less.

Expect a ninja team that has a pinch of Gokaiger is all I can say.

You know what now I REALLY wanna see Nakamura be Aoninger. It would be a heckuva comeback and then see him play Yuuto AND Aoninger under the assumption Ninninger cameos in next year's Rider Taisen flick.

If this really really does pan out? It'll be my dream come true. One of the few riders actors I actually love the idea of transitioning.

First impression: Very Chinese-ish. The Robo with Lantern shoulder is impressive, though.

I guess it is safe to assume the sides of the belt are where the extra shurikens are stored. That mecha looks pretty BA in that pic too.

Those suits look really cool and the lanterns on the mech is interesting to say at least.

The way it is set up Shurikenjin almost resembles a shrine altar/traditional building for me based on what we are given much like how Kakuranger's Muteki Shogun was based off of a castle.

With Naomi Takebe (Producer of Kamen Rider Kiva, Kamen Rider OOO, Go-Busters and Kamen Rider Gaim) announced as Producer of Ninninger.

I wish Naomi Takebe can give us detail about Ninninger and will Ninninger might be more darker than Kakuranger and Hurricanger? Maybe.

Because the last two was more lighter.

Based on the sales pitch and slogan this show feels like it will be a high-energy action show.

The thing with Takebe is she is always involved when Bandai pretty much wants to have complete control over the show.

If Bandai are the ones that wanna make a darker show than its going to have a darker tone. Thing is though last time Bandai wanted to go dark was with Go-Busters and that bit them in the ass. Thats why I dont think that we will go "dark" anytime soon in Sentai.

Sakamoto is apparently directing the first episode. More often than not thats reserved for the series' primary director.

How do you think that Koichi Sakamoto will be directing the first episode? It like saying that Gen Urobuchi will be written Ninninger! That just rumor!

This confuses me.

Allegedly, Sakamoto was recognized being on set during filming of the first episode. And more often than not, whoever directs episode 1 is the series' primary director.

That's where the rumor began at least. Sources vary as to how it started.

Yes, the main director of Kyoryuger. Thankfully Ninninger won't pair him with Riku Sanjo again, so there's still hope that we'll get a toned down Sakamoto (In terms of his perviness, that is).



PS Sakamoto should do more Garo. He's perfect for that show.

Know what I like most? The giant shuriken weapon. It reminds me of the weapon/sword from Magiranger/Mystic Force and how it became different weapons for each member? I love that.

And, of course, the Ribbiter Repeater.

I don't remember Kyoryu being pervy...but then again, I'm not one to mindlessly search for things to pick at...

Anyway, I think kids'll like the toys. Remember. It's Japan, not U.S. So they have different tastes than our children (or children-at-heart) do.

Besides. It's ninjas. What is there not to like?

Everytime Ami, or Yayoi, fought there were close-ups of their legs and skirts billowing with harp music in the backround. And then there was the classroom scene with Ami.

Agreed, I love those kind of team sidearms.

There is the fox mecha rumor a while back. That could be the sixth sentai mecha.

I'm interested in hearing what the sound bytes in the Shurikenjin toy sounds like. I'm guessing its going to have feudal japan music like Kyoryu Gold's mecha to match the ninja theme.

I think the fox is the dog. It is more like a husky, so it could have been misconstrued as a fox...it is also small.

I really hope some kind of third add on comes out that combines with the elephant and the UFO to create a second megazord, and a fourth that combines with those three but also with the first megazord to create one big giant. I've always been a fan of when they all combine together.

It was subtle as a punch to the face with Rolling Gravity.

There were incredibly creepy moments with Ami & Yayoi, made all the more creepy by how young Ami was at the time of filming. Like the "sexy teacher" scene she has with Uchi. Or the weird foot fetish thing Sakamoto had going on with her from time to time like when she was able to free herself and the others from the ropes the Deboss tied them up with, by using her feet. Or the variously odd angles all her high kicks were shot at.

Sakamoto went out of his way on multiple occasions to have gratuitous shots with her. And again, she was 15 so that made it creepier. It's there man.
