How small is the box compared to the old figuarts box now?

It's about a quarter shorter in width I'd say? Plus it gains about a half centimeter in height, funnily enough.

It's a rather new sub-line of SH Figuarts that releases new versions of old Rider-figuarts or in the case of Hibiki, Riders we never got so far. The defining fact is that these figures are done in a more premium manner this time, they are sculpted upon a miniature skeleton to keep the form of the body as realistic as possible. They usually feature better paint and sculpted details too.

And they also come in these iPhone-like boxes, looks pretty nice. I'll definitely keep the box around and display it.

I have seen pictures of that new Kuuga figure, it does look really good especially with the older lines of the Kuuga figure.

It would be cool to see you what can do with these figures given that it is a figuarts. :)

It's already in the works! I'll have to work some more today and tomorrow, but Friday is a holiday so I have a long weekend, I plan to make some shots then.

To be sure I don't get sucked in and leave all my work behind the figure's gonna stay sealed until Friday :D

It's pretty new, they release older molds with new colors in their version of the toyline for the recent Robots in Diguise-cartoon.

They use toys that fit with the new style out of older lines like Animated and Prime. They use the Animated Dinobots as stand-ins for Grimlocks teammates in RiD for example, and Animated Lockdown get's repainted as the master of the Insecticons, which also get released in the line.

Since I'm not really interested in the new toys for RiD, I picked up some repaints I really like. And the Beast Hunters Dreadwing mold with more serious colors looks really cool.

The work helps to not get crazy about it :D

And I did open Dreadwing to fiddle around with, that helps too ;)

ahh, nothing like fiddleing With a New transformer. unfortunatly I never got my hands on any version of Dreadwing. not even a cyberverse.

I can recommend this one. The paint is typical Takara, really good and lots of it. Transformation is similar to the cyberverse from what I get. But he is a Beast Hunters toy, he has beast influences in both jet and robot mode. The jet-nosecone is shaped and painted like the beak of a hawk, his feet are bird-like and the wings fold open like feathers in robot-mode, although that's optional.

If you don't like beastformers this might be a deal-breaker for you. I quite enjoy it (I am a Beast Wars-fan after all ;) ), and without the bright and IMO misplaced colors of the Hasbro version it actually looks like a robot with animal-like features instead of Dreadwing in a bird costume.

But he also didn’t appear like this in the show, at all, so if you want the Dreadwing from the Prime-cartoon this one's no good.

Since I can't start a photo-session with him right now, Takara Tomy's YouTube channel has videos up for their Adventures line where you can see how the toy is transformed, that gives some great understanding on how the figure looks in hand: http://tinyurl.com/q4f44ru

And since the release was like 3 weeks ago you should still find him for cheap. I think AmiAmi still has him in stock too, for that price he's definitely worth it!

If you missed toys from that era in general, like I did, you should follow what Takara's doing with this line, there are lots of Animated and Prime-repaints in there.

I fave no trouble With beast influenses (bought a case of 8 beast hunter toys just to get a smokescreen), I just want a dreadwing. I also have an almost Complete Collection of prime RiD Deluxes and Voyagers so.

also, did you know that most beast Hunters are based on beast WARs characters? f.eks soundwave-deapthcharge.

I hope to have an official TN gallery up late tomorrow night for Renewal Kuuga, including several shots comparing it to old Kuuga, who frankly, now looks rather ugly and disappointing.

Although, dammit, Bandai has got to start gluing in the kneepads on these figures. I may have just lost one of Kuuga's. DX

Good luck on finding that kneepad though! If everything else fails just yell that you will never smile again if it stays lost, if some of Kuuga's spirit is still left in it, it will pop up right in front of your feet.

And I really like the Double-galleries you keep rolling recently, they're awesome.

It varies, some hold better than others. My Baron does it too, but I had it happen with many others during posing as well. Gridon gave up completely once and released the whole arm, almost had a heart attack. But he's a caring nut, you ask him for a hand, you get the whole arm.

Dressing up as a police-officer in a trench-coat and acting like you're about to be slain by an unidentified lifeform also works. The most extensive method is getting a whole kindergarten-group that really wants to learn juggling. If that kneepad isn’t flying back into position now it's probably sealed away or something, in that case ask Haruto and prepare some donuts.

I'm pretty sure I was only chosen cuz for a couple of years I bought more stuff off Jordan than everyone else combined. XD

No, he doesn't really have holding hands.

His weapons come with other figures, right? I assume the hands do as well.

Not really. Because his alternate hands aren't almost entirely useless and out of character.

Plus, Agito only has 2 extra hands. Drive has 2 extra pairs of hands. And a first release bonus.

An extra pair of hands for Type Speed are listed as coming with Type Wild, for what it's worth.

Ehh. The two hands that Agito came with didn't even fit his character.
