I respectfully disagree about Pocketful of Rainbows. I'm aware the majority of fans hate it, but the fact it's clearly a standalone alternate universe means it can get away with a lot more than a sequel could (I freely admit I love AU stuff anyway), plus the new footage is gorgeous.
AO on the other hand hyped itself up as a sequel, proceeded to act like it was some sort of AU for most of its run then in the last few episodes decide to go into proper sequel mode - in the process deciding that none of the stories or development of the new characters mattered. Literally But I digress - Lagrange is on my to watch list, I just haven't got around to downloading it yet. |
Well, I finished Bleach. They pick a good stopping point and gave a solid ending. Honestly, if I didn't know Bleach continued pass this in the manga, I'd believe it was completely over. I'm happy to be finally done with the show.

Do any of you guys watch Hetalia? It doesn't have much of a story, but it's good.
|
At long last I finished Fate Stay Night. It was enjoyable but for some reason I kept putting it off. Now all that's left is finishing Victory.
|
I just caught Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo 14. Damn it, I thought I was going to drop this one, but that episode was wayyyyyyy to pretty for me to give up this show. Something about those darn Christmas episodes in romantic anime gets me every time. This entire show is kind of heartbreaking for an Aoyama fan like me though.

Just started the World God Only Knows, definitely one of the funniest anime comedies I've seen in a while.
|
I don't know why I'm still watching Vivirdred Operation, because it has the potential to be the worst anime I've seen in a while.
About to start Oreimo though, which I'm looking forward to. I watched a few episodes with the girlfriend but never finished it. |

Vividred Operation is that one show where the concepts are all awesome, I mean it's basically Tech-based magical girls mixed with super robot abilities....But the show itself is far from it.
The pacing is what kills it. Things move too fast, characters are introduced and developed in single episodes, some of the explained mechanics get regularly thrown out the window and because this is done by the same team that did Strike Witches...there are waaay too many butt shots. It's sad because the voice cast and animation, especially for the battle and transformation scenes, are great. |
So I was catching up with my weeklies, and I suddenly feel Vividred is trying its hardest to get me to like it...

Even though I have about 5 different things I need to watch, everything drops when new episodes of Initial D hit; Episodes 7 and 8.
|
Don't know if anyone's still following Robotics;Notes on here, but it really hit the fan in the last episode.
Also, Steins;Gate references FTW |

Thanks to Netflix I'm rekindling my love of Robotech. Apparently the new roommate's never seen it before.. I find that a crime against humanity!

Anyway, I don't know if I mentioned it here, but i started over on Tiger and Bunny since it's been so long since I last watched it. I just watched "Go for Broke!" it was pretty good. During the Good Luck Mode...was anyone reminded of Kabuto? |
All this talk about Robotech reminds me I really need to find a good copy of Mospeada.
Still hung up on Hunter X Hunter but my main fix thus far is Magi. I really dig the heck out of this show. |
Any opinions on Phycho-Pass? I need something to watch tonight and it looks like something I'd like.

Tiger and Bunny, The Wolf Knows What the Ill Beast Thinks:
Lunatic is a jerk. Wait...his voice...it sounds like Urataros...*checks wikipedia* OH MY GOSH! IT IS! I wonder why he hates the heroes. It was also nice to get some character development and backstory. Poor guy...anyway...I though that this was another great episode |
Been watching Mushishi off and on between all the other things I watch on Netflix. It's a talkie anime, but I like it well enough.
|
Tiger and Bunny episodes 15 and 16:
Kotetsu's powers are in decline, and Mr. Legend was Lunatic's father, and his powers declined as well, which caused him to drift into alcoholism, and to abuse his wife, which in turn caused Lunatic to burn his own father to death. I feel sorry for his mother, since she lives in fear of her son. I hope Kotetsu tells everyone that his powers are declining soon. Also Lunatic saying that he would tell the heroes about the "Lady Killer" then not telling them...a thousand lies a thousand fabrications Koji Yusa! |
Been watching Spice and Wolf. Also saw the first of the Madoka Magica movies on the big screen! Sometimes I'm glad I live in Canada.

The two major stands out were oddly the ending credits as well as a Japanese version of Mami's main theme that I haven't been able to find yet. Also, I think I saw Arkada from Glass Reflection there so there's that. :lol Edit: Can't believe I forgot to mention this (I tired as hell right now) but the theater I saw it at was completely packed with Madoka fans which made me very happy. So many people with little Kyubeys! A little kid tried to touch one and the owner was like "DON'T LET HIM TOUCH YOU!" |
