What if "ZI-O" is in fact "The O" as in "The circle/round shape" ? and that's why he looks like this.

Could also the "code" background theme mean something ? Would "ZI-O" be "The 0" then ? Who would be the 1 then ? (yes I did this one just for the Build pun).

The guys eyes would supposedly have a crown motive according to the original rumor though

Hmm, I guess they are just keeping the silhouette on this particular flyer ambiguous as possible until the time is right for the actual reveal.

With the exception of Drive it is the annual tradition by now, so most likely. By Drive I mean Drive was the only rider to not make an appearance prior to his titular show.

I expect that it's the actual silhouette. There was an extremely similar image for Build last year, and the silhouette was accurate. It's possible that they opted for a relatively sleek design. That the Driver doesn't protrude horribly from the silhouette might be a good sign.

Looks like a base form. Like Den-O's starting form.

Kind of feels very classic rider but updated in shape too. Especially the helmet has almost an 01 and 02 feel to it, but without the antennae. Kind of like a sleeker more streamlined 01 from his recent movie rebirth.

It's got the W kind of bulbous shoulder pads, and looks like it has the anklets from a lot of designs too, but in a very standard way. Still all small portruding details seem to point to this as a starting base form, and it'll evolve somehow.

Remember - Decade used a base black silhouette as well. This could just be to hide his actual silhouette.

Looks odd, but good! Build's silhouette had his colors in the background, so maybe we'll be getting a purple main rider.

Also, his head is essentially a pawn, which I love. Hopefully we can see some future chess related upgrades!

Actually, Decade's silhouette was completely blank. This silhouette has a collar, shoes, and an outline of a belt. Could be generic, but it's quite different from Decade's silhouette.

Also, if this design is the final design, it's interesting to me that there's no visible handle sticking out.

The interesting thing that I can see here is that the grey background for Build sports his logo, while the grey background for Zi-O sports an interesting design that could be a logo.

Wasn't there some speculation that the Zi-0 could be binary? 1/0. The matrixy style background text in the image seems to back that up.

Has me thinking "one punch rider" really. But who knows. The themes can be a little varied.

Binary is possible, but that also fits with the chess theme too really if that's the direction it goes. Chess is often an AI test too and has connections to that. So those two things may not be mutually exclusive.

This seems like an anniversary year though, so I'm leaning on it or it and the next one as both something very anniversary leaning.

One of my friends pointed out that the blue flyer header is the exact same as Build's poster. Is that blue header just standard for the catalog flyer?

Could be standard. I'm not sure exactly what the Japanese says, but I recognize that it says something related to Ex-Aid on Build's banner (probably saying that he's the rider after Ex-Aid), and Zi-O's banner has Build's name instead of Ex-Aid. While the blue banner is the same, the text is different. Not sure if it's generic or not though.

Edit: Dukemon on Rangerboard helped out. Yes the flyer is real, as are the prices. The gimmick should be something electronic, so that makes me happy.

so I was taking a closer look at that, and it does not seem to be binary, simply because of the fact that there are more signs than just 1s and 0s.
HOWEVER: the lines seem eerily similar to those seen in Heisei Generations Final, which I'm going to take as a more official hint to it being a Decade or Gokaiger style anniversary season.

The top literally says "The series after Kamen Rider Build", the Build flyer says "The series after Kamen Rider Ex-Aid". It's pretty standard wording for this sort of thing.

I could be wrong though so I am gonna sit it out. There is the possibility like I said it could be them being ambiguous about the intricate details of the suit to keep us guessing even if the same format flyer had a detailed silhouette for Build previously.

To be fair, that is what they want. People talking and building hype.

But I think much of the outline is accurate. The waist notches on each side for the belt, and the cufflets on the boots and arms. As well as the shoulders and collar. Though the head is anyone's guess.

It seems pretty lacking in detail, not even bulbous eyes. Which still makes me lean heavily on either it's a base form like Den-O's first form, or it's something else entirely.

Decade's they kind of did similar. His preview pic was before all the cards really formed on his head. So this could be a 'pre-transformation' type too, or mid-transform.

I think it might have something to do with the SFX collectible this time(seems very disc/sound disc/gem disc if it's the that circular). Whatever it is, isn't too obtrusive to the belt design. Seems more streamlined like Faiz/Kuuga/Blade/Agito/Black/Black RX. From the side notches for the belt it seems very streamlined designed. A heavier belt front would need wider surface area design straps. Those notches almost seem rib like and skeletal.

Still think it's going to potentially lean on some kind of anniversary theme though. While "Chess & Binary" is a good guess, those are too much constants through many series really, and the coding aspect could also relate to 'creation/programming' of robotics too. Not sure if they'd actually go full out for a chess theme, not that many power-ups really to that. But it does play to the binary aspect of black and white, and each piece. Which doubles the piece amounts too.

In a weird way, I'm kind of getting Rider 01/02 vibes off of it. Like a next gen version of those created by Shocker/Dai Shocker which could also fit the coding backdrop. Which could explain the disc shape too. Really not sure though.

Whatever it ends up being, I think it's going to be awesome though. That kind of design and subtlety usually means some kind of big wild ride that's been in planning stages for a bit.

Yep. I'd bet it's something to do with VR which would have been hot stuff when they were in the embryonic stages of development late last year. Yes, I know Ex-Aid was kinda VR - but also not because they made such a big deal about VR in True Ending - baffling. Anyway, I'm betting the previous Riders will be via virtual avatars that Zi-O jams in his belt.

Kamen Rider Ghost is mediocore series. One of biggest problem from this series is unnecessary filler episodes from episode 34 to 40.

Back to Zi-O. I think the time travel-theme is big enough as main theme for Kamen Rider Zi-O series.

This really seems to line up with the sketch we got earlier depicting a completely round form and a form with a sharp V on the helmet. I wonder if this confirms it will be a situation like Den-O and Gaim where the rider will have a under-suit mode, and then the actual base form will be equipping his favorite armor from the gimmick line.

That hand sign looks a lot like a clock face.

And Matt Hunt (Dukemon) on Twitter says something along the lines of: "It seems he has traveled through time, so Ji has yet another meaning if the rumors are all true."

Also, the numbers for each of the Riders' air dates seem strikingly similar to digital clocks.
