Ok, I didn't watch Zoffy so I have no clue, please school me on his significance?

Zoffy, as far as I know, never had a tv series, but showed up in other Ultra series or movies. I know he had one movie back in the 80's.

I believe the main reason that Bluefin couldn't get the rights to distribute him here is due to another company having exclusive international rights to distribute certain Ultra characters. Bluefin would have to get permission from the other company to distribute Zoffy, and that could potentially hurt their relationship with Bandai and Tsuburaya. Bluefin wouldn't risk something that big.

If certain distribution rights are still in play for Chaiyo, this could affect not only Zoffy, but the 2.0 Ultraman release, and any future releases of Ultraseven, Jack, Ace, & Taro...which would suck!

The price has gotten high on Ebay in the last couple of weeks, so I jumped on one before the price hike. I may put in my Ultraman 2.0 order very soon too.

I wasn't going to bother with the cape, but now that i have it, I think it looks pretty darned good on Zoffy! I guess that means I'll be getting another one for my Ultraman 2.0 when he's released.

Is BBTS going to get the Renewal Version Ultraman or am I going to have to look elsewhere for him?

Even though we're only seeing a minimal amount of Ultra-Act presence at SDCC, Tamashii Nations has their new Ultra-Act display set up at the Akiba Showroom.

Looks like they're promoting the updated Ultraman 2.0 body, by showing off the poseability.

I'm becoming more convinced the Ultraseven figure is sporting the newer body type in that display.

We should start seeing some reviews of the new Ultraman next week, right?

According to Tamashii's website, it's getting released on July 27th, so just a few more days. :D

Does anyone have any idea if they're going to release a Drago..

Does the Thunder Gridman come with the ultra act gridman, or will i have to purchase them separately.

I really hope they release a drago, and i really hope gridman comes with the set (and that the set can be transformed.

No news of Dyna Dragon or King Gridman IIRC. And I heard Thunder Gridman only comes with a dummy figure to display it but can be used with the Gridman figure.

God that last picture made me want to call home and cuss out my mother. She sold all my Squad stuff at a yard sale. I miss my combining Servo and Drago, and eBay is so damn expensive x . x

Yeh Thunder Gridman and King Gridman are great toys. Even compared to new Sentai toys they're still good.

Do Ultra Acts use the same hand connection as Figuarts? With the problems I've personally noticed in some of my newer Sentai figures, I'm thankful this hasn't happened to me yet.

My personal experince with Ultra-Acts (being limited to the various Revenge of Belial characters) is that the hands are ridiculously hard to swap.

Yes, I would recommend either one of them especially if you're a fan of the 'original' Ultra Man universe. On the other hand if you asked me to choose which version to get...I can't help you because I got both! LOL!

Well I've decided to try my hand at Ultra-Act, yet again. Picked up Gridman last week and just got a Max today. Not too bad but he has some funky neck articulation.

I finally (finally) got my Ultra-Act Ultraman in the mail. He was waiting on my front stoop when I got back from Florida! Now I just need some time to open him up and marvel a the Ultraness.

The Ultra Kaiju Bemular I got turned out to be out of stock, so no re-enactment of "Space Monster Bemular Appears" yet.

Yeah, I may simply be more prone, but Ultra-Act Ultraman is the coolest. I spent about 90 minutes last night playing with him and achieving different poses with him. The fact that he can stand in the proper Ultra battle stance alone makes this toy worth every penny.

Right now he is grappling with a Bandai Hesai Godzilla vinyl, grabbing Big G's shoulder with his right hand and readying a big chop with the left.

This line is going to kill me! But I'll die happy!

(Godzilla is played by a Bandai Monster Island Godzilla. I tried but was unable to do an unsupported handspring pose for Ultraman, which is asking a lot I admit.)

Glad you liked the pictures. I used Baltan II's hairdryer method to remove the tag off of Goji beforehand, so it was a fun night of daikaiju toys in the living room.

I'm really impressed with Ultraman for his stability despite being hollow and light. The feet really do a good job, and the range of motion in his legs and back make some real good "fighting stances." Right now I have him in the traditional Ultra grappling position.

I thought about taking a picture of Ultraman using the Specium Beam on Godzilla but thought it would disrespectful, :D. He didn't even use it on Jirass, after all.

My only complaint about the figure is that I cannot find a way to swap the Color Timer for the red one. I don't know if it is designed for smaller fingers, or it's because I just cut my fingernails, but I cannot get the blue one out and I don't want to force it out. But that minor as far as I am concerned.

Now I just need some Ultra Monsters... and a few more Ultra Heroes... oy...

You might have to settle for some Heisei Ultras, ljacone, at the rate the Ultra Brothers have been consistently selling out of late and going for crazy prices on the secondary market. With luck there will be some reissues over the year to help things out a bit!

I don't mind the Hesai Ultra Heroes, I might pick a few of them up. Zero looks really neat, as does Mebius. Oddly the super common one for me to see is Tiga Power Type, followed by Tiga Sky Type. Multi-Type I don't see on eBay that much, strangely.

The only Showa one you can find relatively cheaply (really) is Leo, whom I wouldn't mind either.

Of course I also dig that Gridman, and I doubly tempted since I just saw that Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad is on DVD in the US now!

Hear hear about reissues -- would it be so hard to reissue Ultraseven?!

Self response, but it's worth it, as I just bought Leo off of eBay. With Taro coming, I am suddenly inspired to get the Showa heroes. Also I love Leo's nunchucks. :D
