I know, and it'll come eventually. Honestly, I think this was probably the best move; if you don't care about the movie mecha (and it wasn't featured in Power Rangers either if you're here for a complete collection of Wild Force mecha), then you don't have to get it just for one animal -- and as a whole this line ends up with a really cool extra and something a bit more complete.

It'd be better if you could choose between blue and black for purchase, but this is the best they could do I feel. Very neat compromise

I personally would have prefered just to skip it and include the series version but I suppose it’s a nice extra.

gao hunter has two features on the head wich had two sides between good and evil.

So, with the Shodo Gokaiger, do you think they've stopped at GaoHunter and GaoKnight or is it still possible for them to get out Icarus and God at the very least? I don't recall any of the SMP overlapping each other so I'm not sure what to expect, espeically with the time lapsed since their last announcements

I imagine there'd be no reason for them to stop the Gaoranger line. There just hasn't been any series covered with as much stuff as Gaoranger before I believe; it was like 3 releases at most? So naturally you never saw any overlap since they were all over so quickly

I think GoGoV had 4 if we include the Lifeforce Megazord or whatever the black and gold was called in Sentai. Figure that's a relatively comparable release to GaoKnight? Guess I'm just paranoid, never really followed a line as closely as Gaoranger's

The fact they did something as specific as Gaoknight alone says to me they'll cover the others. I really wouldn't worry too much

Guess I'm getting GaoRhino again. Really thought it'd be a big boy like the Grand liner and come with a large GaoLion instead for legs. Unless they're releasing that + Gao elephant as one box

I don't think they're about to embark on SMP Gokaiger. The Shodo were released to tie in with Ten Gokaiger, which is where all the optional parts with GokaiSilver come from. If you haven't had a chance to watch it yet, GokaiOh doesn't appear in the film. I think if they'd intended to do so, that would've been teased already, given the long development time between when they announce something and release it.

Really hoping Icarus does come with Rhino, since I missed out on GaoMuscle originally

Oh sweet! Been a while since we got any word from this line, can't wait for prototypes. With this, the only major Power Animal missing would be a standard blue elephant, right? GoaGod and GaoHunter Blue Moon would be awesome but either expensive or not likely. Panda would be baller too

I know this is about Gaoranger stuff...but does anybody have any predictions for when we might see a SMP release for another series? I never watched Gaoranger so I'm waiting over here, dying :lol

Well, we got Icarus coming and presumably a GaoGod left, *maybe* a P-Bandai Hunter Blue Moon, then that's it for this. Mostly likely seeing teases for the next line after this this summer at this rate

I mean maybe but that'd be, what, the 5th time you get tiger and shark molds? 6 if we presume a Blue Moon is in the works. I could see maybe those two being in a pack with, say, Panda and a soul bird just to get the last vestiges out there but I don't know if they'd jump for a full new run on those arms again

It is downright wild how much some of these Minipla kits go for on the aftermarket. I finally found a reasonable Sun Vulcan Robo but I'm not proud of the price I had to pay.

Right? I hate it. I wish they didn't go out of print so quickly. I found a Zambot 3 SMP on ebay for like $50 over the summer but I didn't get it because I've never seen the series. Now the cheapest I can find it is over $100 and I'm regretting not just buying it.

I hate that its the way that it is but I would pick up pretty much any SMP kit at $50. They are that good in my eyes. I pretty much stopped building Gundam HGs (but still do RGs).

i like it had some minor issues with the black plastic on gao bear but i think i over stressed the plastic

I mean all model kits will climb in price eventually due to scarcity, but because Minipla are either candy toys or P-Bandai, they have no real history of being reprinted. Moderoid kits not only see multiple print runs, but they get re-released every now and then (sometimes with improvements).

It's just a general thing with model kits, as you can't exactly resale them once they are assembled, unlike other toys.

Minipla in particular have just been hitting far above their weight class. For the longest time, Bandai's top notch engineering and plastics have only been found on Gunpla, but now we've been getting Minipla, Figure-Rise, and 30MM kits which are putting other brands to shame.

With the switch to Shokugan Modelling Project branding, Bandai has already said they plan to reprint/re-engineer older kits (GaoKing was arguably the first) so I think aftermarket prices will get better in the long run. Maybe they'll even stop with the candy pieces and make them easier to acquire stateside!

It's how much I enjoy building GaoGorilla that is the dealmaker or breaker for GaoKnight

GaoKing for ?40 is pushing it. GaoKnight for ?90... how is double the price justified? I know it's PB, and in the end it's just plastic toys and I'm not 'cut up' about it, but still.

you answered it you self it's a p-bandia exclusive so it it has the mark up for that then also the extra mark up of needing a middle man for it
