They are testing the waters with trying out different things with different Sentai Teams.
Though, hearing about the "Avataro Gear Alters" sounds somewhat similar to Power Rangers Battlizers. Where the Mecha become part of the main form. Just something I thought of. But, them testing the waters with making CGI Rangers might be also because the lanky proportions of the Pink Ranger and the Chibi Proportions of the Black Ranger would make suit actors near impossible. They are testing out whether they can do the impossible by making CGI Rangers. Though, now that I am looking at the EnyaRideon, I can see the chestplate half. It's definitely a replacement for Gaon or Magine. Though how it'd Transform is beyond me. |
Post-anniversary seasons are always the experimental ones.
#41 was Kyuranger which had a core team of nine. #36 was Go-Busters with their unique suits. and even with Zenkaiger already an experimental series they still want to push things further.. |

Huh. Not sure where to think. Suits definitely look good, but the fully CGI rangers has me hesitant. It'll have to be a big leap in quality from Zenkaiger's CGI for it not to look really bad

I think Komura is a fantastic episode by episode writer. But as a head writer, her shows have pretty terrible pacing (it's also why I think she'd be a terrible fit for Kamen Rider). Personally, I'd like to see someone else tackle DonBrothers. Arakawa would be my dream, but Kiramager will likely be his final Sentai as head writer. Kobayashi is also basically retired from tokusatsu writing.
So my dark horse pick is either Keiichi Hasegawa (though I still would prefer him to helm a Kamen Rider series), or Masahiro Yokotani (the current head writer of Tropical Rouge Precure). |
If any writer should be for this show the Zyuoh writer would fit in. Since it animals and ninja has a feel of Zyuohger with the suits design. I only like red so far not liking the cgi for black and pink. Will have to see more pics of the weapons if I want to get them.

I'm just wondering how they're going to portray Kijibrother. Being a male pink, are they going to go the flamboyant route or do something different?

At work so I’ve only seen the poster but I LOVE this so far! Absolutely looking forward to this insanity
|
Looking at the bike, the bit at the back looks like the shiny diagonal chest-pieces for most of the Zenkaiger mecha. Looks like the bike can combine with all of the Zenkaiger right-side mecha.
I'm not looking forward to entirely-CG team members, but it looks like that's what we're getting. The quality of TwokaiRikki and TwokaiKatana does not leave me optimistic. |

Alternatively, Inoue! Unlikely, but it's nice to dream, right? Quote:

The thread says so and, if I'm assuming you're being technical cause of VS, then: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/137...g?v=1617583632 https://i2.wp.com/tokusatsunetwork.c...400x.png?ssl=1 Toei says the same thing. |

And I don't want to see two wonky CG Rangers every single episode. I really don't. |

This is the first thing I thought when I saw the poster.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKMw2it8dQY Red looks like Shinken Red, but the topknot being a gear is a neat feature. Also, peach. Again, Toei must be really confident if they think they can pull off fully CG characters, but I'll wait to see them in action before I decide they made the right choice of not. Of course, there's also the factor of whether or not I find the season interesting or not. I do like the aesthetic of the Rangers, seeing a male pink is clear that Kamen Rider's use of pink might be something that's influencing that, though I still think he could pull off being a suit ranger, but maybe that's just me. It will be sad to see Zenkaiger go, but maybe this one will keep me into Sentai, but I'll wait a little longer before deciding if I see this or not. |
I’m fully, 1000% loving this reveal.
KijiBrother is clearly all CGI, but the rumors point to InuBrother being a puppet (or at least a puppet enhanced by CGI). You can see that his helmet and hand, at least, are “real.” There’s also some rumblings that Kiji and Inu are “humanoid” prior to transforming. Also, keep in mind the persistent rumor that these guys will share the Gokaiger-style “transform into past heroes” gimmick, so… maybe some of the all-cgi fears won’t come to pass. |

The Red looks much better than I expected him to based on the outline we saw previously.

I mean, his track record is spotty. But Jetman is my all time favorite Sentai. I am....beyond curious as hell now. |

I'm going to wait and see for now, but I'm a bit worried about how Donbrothers will end up. |

Bring on all the love triangles! I'm prepared! |
According to the same article, Ryuta Tasaki will be returning as lead director, marking his first Sentai as lead director since Gingaman. Tasaki was also director for Agito, 555, and Kiva. So this series just became an early Heisei Rider reunion.

INOUE'S BACK??
OH YESSSSSSSSSSSS. Even if it isn't good, it will not be boring. |

So Inoue is Head Writer, Shirakura is the producer...
Buckle up people! When Toshiki Inoue and Shinichiro Shirakura are BOTH involved in a show, this can give us three potential things: -This will be a revolutionary work that will reshape the genre. -This will be an absolute trash-fire of a show. -Both |
The staff news here is extremely exciting. It's worth noting Shirakura is apparently continuing as the chief producer, too, so this really is a team we haven't seen since Faiz. A lot of Inoue's recent smaller contributions to Rider have felt sort of half-hearted, but I have to imagine if he's accepting a head writer job again this long after Kiva, he probably has something in particular he wants to say or do with this series. And if Shirakura specifically talked Inoue into it, than he's probably got his own little scheme going here that'll be exciting to find out... even if it ends up being frustrating too.
(Although if the goal is simply to be even weirder than the scripts Koumura turned out for Zenkaiger, than, yeah, Inoue is maybe the only one who stands a chance of topping that madness.) |
I hope Shirakura can reign in Inoue. A lot of Inoue's recent work on Rider isn't great. He wrote the worst two-parter of Zi-O, he wrote the awful Rider Time: Ryuki specials, and was responsible for the even worse Decade Vs Zi-O specials.
I'm extremely curious to see what this show looks like, because while he was pretty decent at writing like twenty years ago? Things have only went downhill for his writing, lest we forget his awful Faiz book as well. |

And wait, this somehow is part of Zenkaiger? Something about a mecha or something? If that's the case, I'm out. Hated Zenkaiger. Don't want anything to do with it. |
Oh. Inoue's writing. Okay then
|
I'm reeling
I don't, I... Inoue???? Really????????? I just... Maybe this is rude(? lol) I don't want Inoue to write any of the Zenkaigers, I hope it's less of a sequel than we were expecting I guess? Is that rude to say? lol I don't think I can process this information right now, I'm totally in shock Uh, I mean, this'll be interesting lol Quote:

In my opinion, the best Inoue's work is still Agito.
Jetman is good but the Jetman final episode is not the best Super Sentai final episode. |
Awwwww yeah
So the suits. Definitely feels like they put the Gokaiger, Go-Busters, and Ninninger suits in a blender. It's been a while since we had a team with a Goggle V palette so already curious what the tsuika will be like. Would be a good time to get a green tsuika since it's Dragon Ranger's 30th anniversary in 2022. And get Yosuke Ito to play the character if it ever happens. :lolol Quote:

It's hard for me to imagine Inoue penning a modern Sentai, let alone pairing him and Shirakura again.
This is going to be a wild ride. |
Holy crap, Inoue wrote the Death Note anime??
That makes way too much sense. |

Kobayashi wrote a number of episodes as well (Inoue and Kobayashi also wrote for Yu-Gi-Oh! Season Zero) |
Accidentally lost the giant rant I was typing, so instead I'll just say that I can't believe they hired this man again and that I *cannot* wait to see the reactions when the show is out. Hearing about Rider Time Ryuki from afar was a trip and a half.
