My mistake, but I still want an articulated Peach over a static one, even if it has severely limited legs. |

Did anyone happen to get the Megaman Zero figure? I totally forgot about him and NY now has him in-stock and I am seriously considering going for it since I am a huge Megaman fan but there seems to be a lack of anything about him. Hopefully he sold well enough for them to keep making more Megaman figuarts. I think I remember Bluefin announcing that they were bringing him over which is probably why I didn't pre-order him from NY but haven't seen it pop up on Amazon.ca yet.

I forgot about him too. Going to look for him to pop up on Amazon and Image Anime.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is just flat out wrong. Soooooooo freaking excited. Just finished reading the first 20 volumes of the manga in my hype. Genma looks very ZEROish though. It's a shame, but sort of understandable. I wish female Ranma was also wearing the long-sleeved top though! Inconsistency! |

The fact that the Sailor Moon Figuarts are based off their animated looks is one of the reasons I jumped on collecting them. I'm more familiar with the anime than the manga. |

Genma definitely looks more Anime then Manga though. Quote:
lol Cardcaptor. Good laugh. You're wrong. |

You have no idea how long I've waited for decent affordable figures of these characters. *twitches* |
I'll fight you to the death. Bring it on!
But really, Ranma is the introduction to Anime. It deserves this treatment so very, very much. I remember when I was a little Gaga, watching the Anime with my twin brother and older sister, introducing me to concepts like "shipping" and "fanfic", having my first manga series I collected be the original run of manga... Such memories. The Figuarts are literally a dream come true. More so then Sailor Moon because Sailor Moon gets so, so much exposure. Ranma 1/2 is just a true classic that doesn't get half as much of the attention it deserves, primarily I'd assume because the incoming generation of Anime watchers have sadly never heard of it or are more into Inuyasha (bleh) on Rumiko's side of things. Plus Ranma 1/2's writer doesn't support pedophilia. *coughcardcaptorcough* |

I have to agree on a personal level. I have never seen Ranma 1/2, and I also have no interest in it. I'm sure it is a fine series, but I definitely agree that the Sailor Moon and Sakura Figuarts are better.

I'm all in on a Cardcaptor Sakura. Both the Figuarts & Figma versions. And I might get both Ranmas. It is a influential series, and nice addition to a collection, even though I too, don't have a full connection to this series.
And I wasn't aware of the pedophilia you mentioned Gaga, in CCS. Did I miss something? |
I'll probably get the Ranmas at some point. Loved the manga when I read it.

You guys all need Manga re-education! Everyone deserves Ranma 1/2 in their lives. Manga or Anime!
The Ranma Figuarts couldn't come out faster for me. I assume they'll be very popular in Japan, so I expect Akane and Ryoga to follow soon! Then Kuno... Then Shampoo (although I hate the character)... As for Sailor Moon compared to Ranma, I'd say any perceived difference is simply from Ranma wearing normal clothes rather then flashy outfits. It's a far cry from the standard Figuarts! In fact, they may be the first ever to wear clothes that could be considered casual in the Figuarts line. Rumiko's signature simple art-style is probably a factor too, I guess. But as someone who's read Ranma their whole lives, I couldn't be happier! I'll buy every single one they release in a heart beat. Quote:

I remember watching Ranma 1/2 as a kid back in the late 90's and I never got into it. The figuarts look nice, but I have no plans on buying them.
|
Ranma 1/2 was one of the first anime series I ever really got into as a kid in the early 90s when I was first introduced to anime by my older brother. Initially I saw Bubblegum Crisis, Dominion Tank Police, Gunbuster, and Guyver first. Then I saw Ranma 1/2. I actually watched the OAVs and first movie before I even got to the TV series, which as a kid I was kind of disappointed in the dumbed down art compared to the stuff I watched before it.
Actually...while we're on anime stuff here, there should be S.H. Figuarts of the characters from Ah My Goddess! Belldandy, Urd, Skuld, Peorth, Hild, Mara... I think they'd look awesome given how well Bandai can make those Pretty Cure Figuarts. |
Well, The Figuarts releases for both Master Asia & Domon Kasshu look casual aswell *way more so than most of the other human s.h. figuarts we've had before* so those 2 & the first releases for the Ranma 1/2 figuarts for both of Ranma's "types" will be a nice intro to figuarts with regular clothing *regardless if Domon & Master Asia look like they belong in a f**king street fighter game with their outfits :lol *.

*only saw the dubbed anime* |
I could care less about what the manga did as opposed to the anime or vice-versa.
I watched the anime, I enjoyed the anime, I want the Sakura Figuart. |
I know people have very iffy feels on Inuyasha, but I won't mind SHF Inuyasha figures. The series is nostalgic to me since I was really into it back in 2003 - 2005.

Me, just give me the Bebop crew and I'll be happy, since Samurai Troopers is probably going to happen... never. |

For fellow Love Live fans. Umi and Kotori were shown at Tamashii Nations, too. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...11663520_o.jpg

If Bandai/Tamashii's going to start releasing stuff that GSC already has covered or will cover as Figmas, I'd love to see them go after the Ghost in the Shell license and release additional figures of the rest of Section 9. I'd buy them from whomever but don't have much faith that GSC will get to much of the rest of the S9 cast.

Everyone who grew up on Toonami's, and by extension, anime's, breakout lineup would be in the poorhouse in a matter of seconds. But the shelf-based shipping wars would be spectacular. Quote:
