His name is Jack Napier. They already did this back in several comics over the years.

BTW, I do like the Rebirth looks for Black Canary, Huntress, and while Superman looks closer to the old look, he is still missing stuff. Still not sure if I'm going to care for this Rebirth.

I think Jack Napier was his name in the 1989 movie only, but it was never revealed in the comics.

Jack Napier is the real name of the joker from the 1989 Batman film. I think they reference or use it as an alias in some of the comics.

On the subject, I really don't want Joker's true name to be revealed. It's one of the best aspects of the Joker and is an integral part of the 'Joker mythology'. Joker even said himself that he'd rather have multiple different backstories.

Yeah, the movie at the end went a little long, but I really did enjoy watching the movie, and the things that it set up for the Justice League. The beginning was pretty rough, and really if there was anything that this movie needed were transitions.

Though my theater experience was almost ruined because some people that heavily smelled of smoke sat near us, and then some really annoying people came. Thankfully there was room in the back of the theater though.

I thought the first 90 minutes were pretty solid when Lex wasn't on screen. It was the last hour where the movie fell apart.

As for Joker's name, I thought the Gotham Knights issue where Riddler told him about the truth about his wife's death revealed his name as Jack as well.

Saw the film yesterday and it really is a film to go see and judge for yourself not see it go by what critic and reviews say it is. All batman superman parts where awesome and ben Affleck I think is best on screen batman I mean not just as batman but as Bruce Wayne. Gal Gadot was great as wonder woman bit I felt like once doomsday showed it started feel out of place. Jesse lex I liked it it's different take on lex and fact I like gene Hackman lex luthor might be wby I like Jesse lex cause I think it's a different take. I love clever use of Martha

I havent read Gotham Knights but Jack is always a name that is used for Joker's possible real name.

I feel like if they reveal his real name, it'll just be something they made up on the spot in order to sell issues.

So what I am understanding from the announcement is that it is DC bringing back elements of characters that were discarded as they tried new things while moving forward.
Looking forward to this.

We just watched the Flash/Supergirl crossover episode. WTF did they do to my super heroes? Where is the brooding? The dark depressing colors? The mopey personalities? Everything was so happy and cheery. :-p Seriously though, damn that was so freaking awesome. Aside from Silver Banshee's make-up, this episode was fantastic and is what Batman vs Superman should have been!! I really hope we get more of these again.

Oh yeah, this must be an older Barry because he talked about Earth 3, which was awesome!! They better not cancel this show!!

Seeing as I might finish Daredevil in the coming week, I need to ask if Arrow is worth looking into. From what I saw in the Flash and Arrow crossover in the first season of the Flash Arrow seemed like a cool show. So is it worth watching?

It depends what you are looking for. The first season of Arrow takes about 5-10 episodes to really kick off, but it is an enjoyable experience. The second season fixed everything the first season faltered at and gave us a truly epic season. Season 3 started out strong but then fell apart during its second half. Right now, the fourth season has been almost as strong as Season 2, but last week's episode is by far the worst episode of the entire franchise, so who knows how the season is going to finish up. If you are just looking for some great comic book action and can look past its flaws, it is an excellent show (although, no where near as good as DD). If you are easily bugged by every relationship drama that occurs in something, then probably not. The acting can be hit or miss, but thankfully the most annoying characters do improve over time.

As much as I enjoyed the Flash/Supergirl crossover, why did they have to lose twice to the villains? They effectively failed to beat them, making the heroes look weak in that "citizens save the day" moment.

Honestly Silver Banshee and Livewire should just try again, now that Barry's gone. Not like Kara had a good chance with the Speedster there.

Season 1 of Arrow is kinda rough to sit through as it is for the most part like watching a really bad soap opera but it gets toned down as the show goes on and it begins to show it's comic book routes a lot more. My opinion on Arrow is pretty much aligned with Kain's: Season 1 is mixed, Season 2 and 3 are great, but Season 4 I'm also having mixed feelings on as well, I dunno it just feels like they're running out of ideas. The main thing that bugs me about Season 4 is them doing something that goes against what made season 3 such a big deal...but it's hard to talk about without getting into spoilers.

Flash is the one show that I think has been consistently good from the get go. It's a very different tone from Arrow and thank god they toned down the annoying character drama in that. The effects are also pretty good for a show that airs weekly.

Overall, I'd say both are worth getting into but Flash is a new show still and that might be easier to pick up than Arrow is at the moment. If you were going to pick one to start off, I'd say Flash is the one to it with.

Season 4 has just been a total mess. An un-intimidating villain, really really poorly constructed flashbacks, wishy-washy relationship crap for yet another year. Season 4 has totally back peddled the show. As grand as it could & should be with all these characters finally suiting up at one time together, Season 4 has squandered that potential. Every week I look for glimpses of what made the show great in seasons 2 & 3 but I generally can't find them. The Constantine & Vixen episodes were wonderful. But otherwise this season has been a major letdown. Most of that I feel can be attributed to Neil Mcdonough playing such an absurdly powerful yet immensely boring character.

I'm sure this isn't the last time we will see those characters, provided the show doesn't get canceled.

I agree about the flashbacks being poorly constructed, but I don't see any issue with the relationship stuff. It's not like they haven't done this stuff in the comics (hell, they divorced Canary and Ollie in the comics within like 9 months, which was friggin dumb). The only thing I hate in Season 4 was last week's episode where they turned Felicity into an ungrateful, spiteful little bitch. I also think Darhk is far better than that joke they made out of Ra's. My only complaint is how easy it was to take him down.

I was thinking the box he had was a Mother Box, but since they used one in BvsS, WB would never allow it to be one.

I could've done without Queen Bee, but I think this episode of Arrow is easily the best the show's had in awhile.

This episode was terrific and made up for last week's. I hope Curtis decides to join them permanently, even if it is next season. Not surprised about the ending though. Ollie was a moron though in the flashback. Why didn't he shoot the dude when he was down?

Just watched Justice League vs Teen Titans the animated movie. It was pretty neat to say, a bit character focus on Raven, but hey I hope more Teen Titans movies are coming since DC announced they would give them more movies in the future.

JL vs TT did capture my interest more than I thought it would. I loved the focus on Raven, and I adored the scenes about the Teen Titans. Robin was still quite grating as a lot of his scenes seem to kind of ignore the growth he underwent in the other 3 movies he got, but whatever. I look forward to more Teen Titan movies (Especially if the mid credits scene seem to imply anything. That got me so so hype~)

Though if I had one gripe, it would be Raven's delivery. Not her voice, per se, but just how she gave out her lines. She spoke too quickly for anything to feel natural. I know Raven was intentionally aiming for the emotionless style, but there were a lot of scenes where she just belted out dialogue.

Focus on Raven is not at all a bad thing in my book. Looking forward to finally seeing that one.

Started a bit of a DC animated binge over the weekend after realizing how many I had access to via HBO and Netflix. So I got through Batman Under the Red Hood, Year One, and Dark Knight Returns Parts 1 and 2. Next up is Son of Batman and Justice League War. Then it's back to waiting for them to get newer movies heh.

Apparently DC is reshooting scenes for Suicide Squad due to the positive reaction the trailer got, as "Sources" say that all the movie's jokes were in the trailer, and they're aiming to lighten the film's tone to better match the trailer.

Sources in quotations because I can't seem to find who revealed it, and I'm too lazy to read through the dozen articles reporting it just to find who the anonymous source is.

It's apparently Devin Faraci from BMD. Umberto Gonzalez says they're just standard reshoots and aren't for comedy. They're both often full of crap (moreso Umberto in that) so it's hard to pick a side. However, I seriously wondered how the film was going to meet the GotG tone the trailer laid out since they most likely shot another OMGGRIMDARK film.

Most every article says it's for more comedy, but I don't really know. I'm just relaying info.

My worry is how much of that stuff is going to feel shoe horned or out of place, but I guess we'll see...

Tonight's Legends was, well at least it had some really nicely shot action in it. Other than that, it was predictable and kind of bland. I really hope they don't **** up Jonah Hex because the make up job on him from the recent trailer looks pretty bad.

I wouldn't be surprised that the criticisms with Bats v Supes waterfall of complaints over it being too dreary is probably what made them do this.

However, it does make me think. A lot of people thought Suicide Squad would be DC's answer to Guardians, but apparently all the humor was in the trailer, and now they're reshooting it to add more.
I wonder what the "Original" cut of the movie would've been like, now.

Nope, because the movie still looks de-saturated. Look at the courtroom scene in BvsS. Superman's cape looks purple, people who are wearing white shirts look like grey shirts, and their skin tones look unnatural as if they all have some sort of sickly disease.

Yup. BvS dropped 71% at the box office.

I actually really want DC to do well, since I love a lot of their heroes (A live action Teen Titans would make me swoon), but I hope the reviews and sales will alert someone at WB that not every movie needs to be Batman by any other name.

I hope the one thing WB takes away from this is that people just want a good movie.
