Anyone up for some smashing now?

I want to see some Melee stages as DLC. I miss Fountain of Dreams, FOurside and Poke Floats from Melee. I would love to see them return.

I'd LOVE for the first 2 to return. But i don't think Fountain of dreams is coming back, Dream land 64 has it's theme on the stage which means it's probably not gonna happen.
Fourside is easily one of my all time FAVORITE Smash bros stages and it's sad that it doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Agreed. They helped develop the game, so they should at least get one more person in.

Didn't Sakurai said that he doesn't want too many third party characters in Smash? I feel like Simon Belmont is long overdue for Smash Bros. A lot of people want Bayonetta, but I doubt it will ever happen.

Isn't Bayonetta as much a Nintendo character as Shulk or the Pokemon cast? Where Nintendo owns part of the company so they can get away with it?

They published Bayonetta, but I don't think they own the IP or Platinum.

Another character from Namco Bandai would be cool. I would be okay with Nightmare from Soul Calibur or Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia. However I don't see the demand for them in the game being that high though. A lot of people want Shovel Knight in Smash. I think he would make a fun character and he won't cost much to use since he's a indy character.

I don't think Namco Bandai is very interested in the Soul series right now, so I'd say a character like Lloyd from Tales or Jin or Heihachi from Tekken have a better chance (Note: Link is also a Mii Fighter outfit, before rebutting that "Heihachi is already a mii outfit so he can't be in")

Maybe Klonoa could be a DLC fighter, it'd be cool to see how they incorporate hi's style of fighting into Smash.

We already have Heihachi in Smash. It's called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale ;). Someone from the Tales series has a better chance in being in Smash if we get another character from Namco Bandai. Someone like Nightmare would have a better chance then someone like Scorpion or Sub-Zero since MK was never big in Japan and Nintendo would likely be against it.

So Smash Wii U got a patch. And no one has any idea what it even does, asides from one new insignificant file name. People speculate it's to better implement tourneys and youtube replay uploads.

Also, Bill Trinen from the Nintendo Treehouse is planning to attend EVO. Yes, that Bill Trinen. Let's hope he does better then Reggie this time.

I still doubt we will get Heihachi in Smash given that he has a Mii outfit. Nightmare in Smash would be cool since his large sword can make some serious damage and combos. However Lloyd is more likely and would fit well into Smash.

Comparing Heihachi to Link is way different. Link has been in every Smash game since day one and is one of Nintendo's most iconic character.

The argument is literally just "Heihachi has a mii costume, so he can't be in."
You can't put a set of arbitrary rules as a counter argument.

I would prefer Nightmare because I don't care for Tekken, but Namco seems to view Tekken as their golden child when it comes to fighters.

Today was really my first day back playing Smash after stopping 2 weeks after Roy,Ryu and Lucas came out. And I fought a really awesome for glory match with a really good Little Mac with my Roy and damn it was fun.
