I think if they did a fusion anniversary rider, instead of fusing multiple riders together (although that would mean fewer forms, which could be good as it would let each one shine more), it could be neat if they had collectables that could mix-and-match with different combinations creating different riders. For example:

Monster + Sweet = Gavv
Sweet + Warrior = Gaim
Buddy + Monster = Revice

Although personally I dislike the whole "using the powers of past heroes" thing in general

It was the best idea I could come up with for Reiwa’s KR era following Decade & Zi-O.

Fusions are a creator’s way of saying “LOOK HOW LAZY & UNCREATIVE MY WRITING IS”

Personally, given it's something that Rider has never done before(unless you count Gotchard), I think it could be interesting. I have no ideas for original forms that could come about due to it, but mixing and matching aspects of past Riders could make for some neat sequences if nothing else.

I feel like it depends on the franchise. Ultra works because of the similar design aesthetic to every Ultra. Whereas with Rider I feel like you have to get really creative with how the fusions go.

I feel like we'll get there eventually given the Legend Rider forms for Gotchard.

That said as someone who's done fusion form stuff before with Kamen Rider Fics (Mainly my Smash Bros. one, Kamen Rider Smash), it can be an interesting and fulfilling experience trying to figure out what works for a fusion, what aesthetic to go for, what types of fusion to utilize. It's like an interesting puzzle.

I've been trying to come up with good fusions myself. Depends on the "best matches" of the riders. As I'm motivated to make it Reiwa's anniversary theme.

Ichigo, Kuuga & Zero-One in the rider's main fusion form is easy.

Kabuto, Drive & Faiz are speed-based as Faiz upgraded in Reiwa

Agito, Wizard & Saber are dragon themed

Ryuki, Gaim & Geats are all game & desire-based

Den-O, OOO & Revice involve partnerships

I can't find which are good for Gotchard & Gavv!

I'd go with Double, Build & Gotchard.... but Gotchard & Fourze seem similar as Fourze wants to befriend everyone and Gotchard wants to befriend Chemies & bring them together with humanity.

Kiva & Gavv could work due to biting. Wish I went with Amazon. But then there's Drive & Ghost. Gavv & Kiva have the biting and yet Ghost has the eye. Even Drive has a belt with an AI.

Blade, Decade, and Gotchard. Because cards.

I'm saving Decade, Zi-O & Legend.

Personally, my hope is that by the time we get around to Reiwa's tenth anniversary Toei will have already forgotten about Legend.

If you don't mind changing the existing sets around a bit, you could have Fourze, Build and Gotchard as they all share themes of learning and science (counting alchemy as science), Den-O, W and Revice for partnerships, and then Ryuki, OOO and Geats for desire, and finally that means Gaim can go with Kiva and Gavv with the broad theme of "eating"

Only to give us a Zi-O clone named [insert fancy name here] and Decade returns with the Legendary Decade Driver.

I guess that could work?

Yet with Ryuki, Gaim & Geats they have war games like the Rider War, Beat Riders & Desire Grand Prix/Royale.

Is fusion with Agito, Wizard & Saber still good?

I also thought of Kabuto, Drive & Faiz due to speed. And plus Faiz upgraded to a smartphone in the Reiwa era.

For Gavv, I feel Amazon & Kiva could mix due to biting.

I?d go with Ex-Aid over Gaim if you?re going for games as a theme. The whole back end of that series was about luring people into playing Kamen Rider Chronicle.

I think Hibiki would work better with Saber because the Sword of Logos and Tachiba are both large monster fighting organizations.

Honestly, there are a lot of ways to group shows and it really depends what aspects you want to focus on.

It?s not just games with Ryuki, Gaim & Geats. There?s also the prize of godhood too.

I was gonna save Hibiki for Ghost depending on the next rider? but we?ll see.

Just had a random thought, if there's just one Saban's Masked Rider episode that I think is still fun to watch, it would probably be Dex's driver's ed episode. The way they used footage from episode 2 of Black RX is interesting.

Yeah. Alot of people talk about the mishmash of footage used from the Showa movies, but very few note the times that Masked Rider was actually pretty smart when it came to footage use. Like this episode.

Like, I remember the scenes where Kotaro was clinging to the front of the car were used so well at the time. Also helped that the clothes that Dex wore was quite similar to what Kotaro wore in the original episode. The attention to detail was on point.

I don`t think that this is such an unpopular opinion, it`s more likely that it was simply not voiced, but... Dark Arc only harms a secondary rider. Tycoon, having become a villain, lost his last and already few fans; Igarashi Daiji completely dropped his show from the position of average to a lower position. Even Blades and Vulcan, who were never technically villains but were in active opposition to the protagonist, received the most hate during this period. Also, I don't think there are any fans of sad Hiro in a business suit. Maybe I don't remember everything, but villainy only works for those secondary riders who were the original antagonists, like Baron and Kaixa.

This. I'm not against dark and edgy angst arcs, but for goodness sake, please write them well. They can be used for great character development if they weren't written in for the sake of just adding unnecessary angst. Daiji got shafted seriously hard in Revice.

I can forgive Blades though as he was literally questioning his entire lifestyle and he was raised to be a swordsman from a young age, not to mention that that he did finally come around and the whole arc of him finally rejecting the SoL's corruption led to him unlocking his final form (which, while not perfect, was way better executed that the complete fiasco that introduced Evility Live).

The big problems with Daiji's villain phase were that it dragged on way too long and required him to be a complete idiot in order to justify it.

Daiji's' arc is probably the best out of all those listed. I felt it was perfectly in character given his own stubbornness combined with the feelings of desperation that he was saddled with at the time.

I don't know if it was good but personally I found Daiji's villain arc interesting (specifically when he was a villain as Live, not earlier when he was controlled by Kagero) because it showed how losing his inner demon left him unbalanced, unable to recognize when he was wrong or compromise his ideals even when they did more harm than good.

Actually, Switchblade named the main disadvantage of Daiji’s dark arc. According to my feelings, it lasted for about a third of the show. And for me personally, now, when I just think about Revice, the image of the beaten sad Daiji immediately pops into my head.

You know, I actually really like the whole bit of Saber where everyone is questioning if Touma has gone off the deep end. Different characters get convinced at different, organic feeling moments that Touma is actually fine and something is shifty about the Sword of Logos. Then as we reach the end of the arc it shifts to a story about Rintaro and how he just can't accept that the organization that raised him was so in the wrong, even though he wants to believe Touma and there is so much evidence against the SoL at that point. It's a really unique stretch of episodes unlike any other Rider series and probably my favorite part of the show. I think it's a good example of how to create a conflict between Riders without just making someone secretly evil, have them use some corrupting power, or just have some big angst moment.

Daiji was an interesting idea marred by a very questionable execution, like many things in Revice. When I was watching it as it aired I remember thinking that Daiji just didn't get enough focus to make his downfall feel compelling. Instead it became accidentally hilarious, at least to me.
